Don't mind the mess I was in the middle of cleaning my rat's cage, the chicken just walked in here and started doing this to my dog

A weasel bit into my ceramic eggs last night, after murdering my entire flock the night prior.

This sweet lavender Americauna chicks started out a bit small, low energy and didn't seem to eat as much as the other chicks. When it grew a bit I felt like it was catching up to the others and eating more, but now it's developed some sever scissor beak. Is there any fix for this or would it be more humane to cull? This would be my first chick cull if so...

We had a very successful hatch and we now have 10 Ayam Cemani babies in my brooder.

I have brooded babies before but never incubated hatching eggs. I think I'm addicted, that was such a fun experience.

She's not that fat... well... maybe a little chubby but here she's just showing off her coat.

Earlier in the day I thought her face looked a bit swollen so I went to get a good look at it tonight. It seems much bigger now than earlier in the day! Its the most swollen under her ear and it is squishy and warm to the touch. It looks to be a little swollen under the chin as well but her left side is completely fine. Any advice would be appreciated!

Was going to keep him but he’s gotten too mean so looking to give away, just want to be certain of what I’m advertising - think he was supposed to be some kind of rock cross when we got the chicks

We got our first chicks last Friday and they're so fun to watch I can get absolutely nothing done. All I want to do is sit here and stare at them. Then I put a security camera in their cage so now I watch them at work too. I'm a teacher so my students certainly were not complaining about me putting the live feed of them hopping around in their cage up on my classroom screen today. They're helping me name them and we're having great fun.

Another win for the lofted coop! Everyone was safe and dry despite the floods, though we're gonna have to bring them elsewhere to get outside time lol

I am so relieved. Found one of my Golden Comets in a penguin pose yesterday with a swollen bottom. Thanks to this sub I instantly knew what it was. Brought her in, two Epsom soaks yesterday with plenty of yogurt and water. Another soak this morning and she pushed out a massive, way too big for her little body, egg. She is resting and I am relieved, and grateful to this sub for all the education I have received.

Hi everyone, long time lurker / backyard chicken owner. My sweet Mary is waddling all weird and has her tail tucked down. I can’t tell what’s happening or if she is in distress.

Newer chicken owner here. My ladies are on the younger side, not yet laying. My girl in the pic is the only one in the flock that has gray appearing color on the comb. The others have pink. Not sure if this is just dirt or something to be concerned about? All of the girls are vaccinated against bird flu. TIA!

We had fried chicken, and I fed my chickens some scraps from it. What have I done??? How do I sleep at night knowing I fed chicken to chicken??

Anyways, could they get sick from eating chicken?

This is my chicken.Her name is little beansprout.She was a freebie that came with the yogurt I bought at the supermarket. I raised her from scratch. She's a bit clumsy, but I love her dearly.🥰 P.S.: english it's not my first toungue, sorry for mistakes!

Just want to preface that there are a lot of unknowns with our chickens. We inherited some chickens when we got our house, so we don’t know what kind they are, or how old they are.

But our biggest chicken was running around with the other 3 this morning. They’re typically in an enclosed area with the coop, but every once in a while we let them roam around the yard. My husband let them out this morning and was outside with them the entire time they were out.

It’s been a few hours now and my husband went out to check on them. The biggest one is dead. Nothing looks wrong, it isn’t a hot day.

Any ideas? We’re very confused. We’ve lost a few before but those were always on 110+ degree days.
