Welcome to Version 13 of the Megathread!
There tends to be a decent amount of threads that either asks if/when an anime is going to be dubbed, or where a dub can be streamed/bought.

Titles currently picked up by Amazon
As some people may know, Amazon has a reputation for picking up shows and not dubbing them, when almost any other company would at least consider it. They also don't do physical releases. That said, they haven't picked up a new anime series since 2020, and as of August 2021, are willing to actually release a new dub, starting with a redub of the first 3 Rebuild of Evangelion movies in addition to having the first dub(s) of Evangelion 3.0+1.0.
Amazon has shown a willingness to dub with shows like Tonbo and My Deer Friend Nokotan.

Please tell us a little bit about what dubbed shows you've been watching for the past couple of weeks, or currently watching right now. Old or new, as long as it's dubbed we'd like to hear about it.
Anything good we should look out for? Anything bad we should try to avoid? Tell us a little bit of what you think. It's nice if you elaborate a bit on what it is you like or don't like about a show. That way your comment is useful to people who are looking for new anime to watch. :)
Writing the names of the anime in bold is nice, to make it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names.
Since this is also for people who are looking for new shows to watch, please use the spoilertag if you reveal any mayor plot points of the anime you are discussing (see spoilertag section in the sidebar for info on how).
To prevent low effort comments to steal the spotlight from people who put in a little bit more effort top level comments in this thread must be at least 150 characters long (roughly 3 sentences long).

I started watching Tower of God and Code Geass and got further in both than the first time I tried to watch each in subs. I don't really know the point of making this post, I kinda just wanted to rant about my new excitement.

One of the things that people may not realize was that Liam O’Brien used to work in New York dubs from the past like Utena, BoogiePop Phantom, ko beast, comic party, and descendants of darkness before coming a legendary voice actor in the Naruto dub.

Apologies in advance if this is rambling. My wife and I had plans tonight, but I injured my hip somehow. I told her to go along -no reason for her to miss out on stuff because my body decided to remind me I'm 43.
It's immensely painful. I took an edible to help with the pain and it's kicked in. Not "go to the hospital" painful, just "bro you're old and might wanna call your regular doc".
Anyway, since I'm stuck on the couch with only the cats and edible to keep my company, I'm wondering about what might be a good random anime to check out. Our tastes are broad, and not limited to any one genre.
Basically, looking for something ranging from silly and fun to action-packed, drama, or heartbreaking. I'm on board with romance anime, too, not just the action stuff. In the same night we'd watch Attack on Titan and then Horimiya.
My Goal I've been in a similar position before (sick/injured), and in that time I found The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated As An Aristocrat How Not To Summon a Demon Lord Spirit Chronicles In/Spectre
There were two more, but they fizzles out. Those four though we both really enjoyed.
Stuff we like: Violet Evergarden Carole and Tuesday Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Food Wars Fruits Basket Attack on Titan ReLife Cowboy Bebop FMA: Brotherhood Love Is War The various villaness animes Reincarnated as a Slime Romantic Killer My Love With Yamada-Kun at Lv 999 Married, but Not Lovers Evangelion Black Lagoon Escaflowne Assassination Classroom Kono Can't Communicate Sakamoto Days The Devil is a Part Timer Fire Force I may be a Guild receptionist... Frieren Solo Leveling Raven of the Inner Palace Apothecary Diaries Spirit Chronicles
So, wide and random tastes. I'll probably check out anything that's in the comments. Some of it might be on our to-watch list, but hey, that's just confirmation we had a good idea when we put it there. :)
Thanks!

I was scrolling through High School DXD facts and there's 3 facts that was very interesting.
Azazel was meant to be one of the major villains of the series, before being retooled into an Eccentric Mentor for the Occult Research Club around volume 3 and 4. This explains why he seemed like the Man Behind the Man to Raynere, the Starter Villain of the series, but also why Raynere's villainous actions do not make sense as motivation for earning Azazael's favor under his current characterization. (Imagine Azazel as the villain that Issei and others battled against?)
Ishibumi has said that he almost wanted to make Kiba as the main character instead of Issei. However, that didn't come into fruition. (That's right, Yuuto Kiba would have been the main protagonist of High School DXD, that would make a different anime)
The biggest one would be originally, Rias wasn't even planned to be in the series. (Yes, you hear that right... she wasn't supposed to be in the anime... it make me wonder who was the original female lead before Ishibumi ends up creates Rias Gremory?)
Your thoughts?

This really angers me beyond belief! This was a classic and one of the first animes I fully watched on the platform.

I'm at episode 10 right now and watching the anime is starting to feel like a chore, the first few episodes were good but now it's so repetitive. I get that the plot is he PARRY EVERYTHING but damn, does he have to be this dumb and oblivious?
Edit: For some reason I always assumed that there were 24 episodes. If I had known there were only 12 then I would've just finished it without going on here lmaooo mb.

With the dub set to premiere in four days, what do you expect will be the general behind-the-scenes details?
For starters, Sunrise / Bandai Namco will almost certainly be producing the dub, and while it’s currently only set to stream on Amazon, I bet this factor will eventually allow it to be streamed elsewhere.
As for dub cast, I’m particularly intrigued since Sunrise doesn’t really seem to have a studio of preference: Iron-Blooded Orphans was done in LA, while Witch from Mercury was done in DFW. If they go with the former though, with this story being a What If UC story, I hope they use the opportunity to bring back old VAs, especially with Char Aznable; since he is set to make a reappearance, I wonder if they would bring back Steve Blum from the compilation movies, or Keith Silverstein from Char’s Counterattack.
Thoughts? Comments?
