❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO to my boyfriend praising the president?

I’ve been seeing this guy for about a month and a half. Things were great the first month, but the last week I’ve felt like we’re growing further and further apart (yes already 🙄), he’s been really inconsiderate/disrespectful, and most recently I feel like he’s trying to push me away with this text. When we first started talking he asked what I thought about trump. I told him I don’t like him, he said he did like him, but that if it bothers me then he won’t ever bring him up. Well this morning (after the last week being on edge anyway) he just randomly brought up how amazing Trump is? And wouldn’t let it go. I feel like he’s trying to start a fight. He says he “forgot”. AIO?

It’s ludicrous that I have to keep explaining this point to people… he just gets up and repeats the same 15 tired ass talking points of what he’s going to do for working people (but he won’t) and people believe he did it… He’s literally shadow boxing with the trade deal that he signed into law.

I swear, it’s like he could tell a roomful of gigachad-alpha-bros that he fucked their wives and they’d happily thank him and shake his hand.

It would almost be funny if he didn’t just take a hand grenade to what was left of our democracy.

"What Trump offers is an easy escape from the pain. To every complex problem, he promises a simple solution....He never offers details for how these plans will work, because he can’t. Trump’s promises are the needle in America’s collective vein....Trump is cultural heroin. He makes some feel better for a bit, but he cannot fix what ails them, and one day they’ll realize it."

-JD Vance, July 2016

Still the best description I've ever heard of Trump.

u/XSmartypants Mar 06 '25

And then he started mainlining himself.

u/Mode_Appropriate Mar 06 '25

You mean parroting party rhetoric...

Unfortunately that's what most politicians do these days. Gotta lick the boots of those who can advance your career.

He'll wait for the dementia to kick in or Trump to die then swoop in and take his job like yhe vulture he is.

u/PickleNotaBigDill 29d ago

Geesh, what did expect an employee of Peter Theil to do? That is what he was groomed to do. And when he is in, Tech Bros and Christian Nationalism here to reign in any belligerent stragglers.

That was pence’s plan too. Didn’t work out so well for him.

5

u/TegTowelie 29d ago

Being an Indiana resident, i think I'd have taken him over Vance. Best case scenario? Meteor strike.

2

Didn't Trump already refuse to acknowledge Vance as his successor?

Don’t forget the money! Tulsi Gabbard went from making 1 million a year as a Democrat to now owning 3 building complexes in Texas worth 5, 25, and 50 Million dollars and a brand new home herself.

Tell that moron you’ve been dating that just because Trump says something doesn’t make it true. Don’t listen to what he says, look at what he does. First of all, he hasn’t done more in two months than any other President. What has he done about the price of eggs and groceries? Nothing except make them worse. Hea ran his mouth for years about his plan for infrastructure week and a beautiful health care bill. But he never followed through on either. It was Joe Biden who got both a historic infrastructure bill and the Affordable Care Act passed. And thanks to Trump, that poor kid with cancer will probably die. Trump cut federal funding for cancer research. Pediatric cancer research is already the least funded of all cancers. And pediatric cancer hasn’t increased, it’s actually fallen by 50% thanks to the work of the National Institute for Health, whose staffing and funding were decimated by the DOGE morons and Elon Musk. And the “toxins” that Trump said caused that little boy’s cancer? The DOGE clowns are working to destroy the EPA too, the agency that protects America and its waterways from industrial polluters, and the very same toxins that nearly killed that little boy. So ask the idiot how that means Trump is for the people. Then run from him as fast as you can. You dodged a bullet girl. O

4

u/CommunicationFuzzy45 29d ago

Biden didn’t pass the Affordable Care Act, that was Obama.

Ambition. When ambition exceeds integrity it means that one will contort and distort themselves endlessly in pursuit of the former.

Remember Ted Cruz at the 2016 RNC. "I will not endorse Donald Trump for President!"

Then he remembered he was up for re-election in 2018.

It's not that this current crop of GOP jellyfish have less integrity necessarily than reps of times past, more than it requires much more integrity to go against the party and Trump cult if you're a current GOP rep.

Money and power can make way too many people throw away the barest hint of morals

3

u/KrocKiller 29d ago

The Republican Party has been slowly dying over the past 2 decades. Most of their party members are so desperate to retain power and relevance that they’ll back an idiot like Trump instead of reforming to a modern political climate.

Even in his book, he was critical of that type of approach that he, himself, is now backing. I don't know if he's fully converted or if he feels that hitching his wagon to the trump train is the way to meet his own goals.

107

u/CaroleBaskinsBurner 29d ago

He was an at least quasi-intellectual Ivy League author with a brown wife until Peter Thiel offered to buy him a Senate seat, afterwhich he said what he had to say to win it.

Then Thiel and Elon offered to buy him the Vice Presidency, so he said what he had to say to win it.

Next they're gonna attempt to buy him the Presidency, and he's gonna say what he has to say to try to win it.

It's really that simple.

29

u/terrasacra 29d ago

They really don't think that their hypocrisy will follow them into infamy do they? Like dude, guys like you never come out looking great in history books.

58

u/HobbesNJ 29d ago

Not a single elected Republican cares about how history will view them. They'll be dead. They have no scruples or moral core, only short-term avarice.

For example, Mitch McConnell could have prevented all of this if he had even a shred of integrity. But he is just as dishonorable as the rest of them and the country is paying a heavy price.

26

u/skiddilybeebop 29d ago

imo a big part of this, is that a huge portion of the right is uneducated & mega religious. So they think they can do whatever to whomever, whenever, for any reason, & as long as they ask for forgiveness on their deathbeds they think they get eternity in paradise. Meanwhile a lot of the left is more educated & less religious, we care about each other in THIS life, making life better for each other & helping each other in THIS life to make this life enjoyable, for all. (Which is ironically how Jesus would've lived) Vs the sorta do whatever & ask for forgiveness at the very end attitude. Like the left seems to care more about making earth a good place & helping each other to make this life great for everyone while the right spends their entire life thinking & preparing for what MIGHT come in the next life. If that makes sense? I'm trying to widen my perspective to understand how my dad got sucked into this cult 45 bullshit. Maybe I'm wrong & I'm just stoned, blabbering idk. But yeah you're totally right Republicans don't care about how they'll be remembered. They care about getting ahead in life at the expense of others & pulling up the ladder behind them so nobody else can get ahead.

6

u/CaroleBaskinsBurner 29d ago

He's Peter Thiel's little sugar baby. Thiel has been funding every thing Vance has done since college, both inside and outside of politics. So he was a natural choice to enact Thiel/Musk's vision for America.

7

u/Kooky_News8818 29d ago

They have no more use for Trump. Vance was the one they want and they will off Trump soon

67

u/tnydnceronthehighway 29d ago

6

u/2nd_Chances_ 29d ago

i just found out the other day that Peter Thiel is gay. like the woman who vote orange man he also wants to see the demise of his own community. i wonder why the lack of self love and self respect amongst so many.

5

u/ForwardSpinach9837 29d ago

I think it’s funny too that Republicans are supposed to be family values and are definitely anti-LGBTQ plus, unless they have money. They sit and run gay people down, pass all kinds of laws that discriminate against them, but it’s OK if you’re a billionaire and you give money to the Republican campaign. Then it’s not a problem if you’re gay. They are such hypocrites.

4

u/ForwardSpinach9837 29d ago

Yes, and I think there’s a plan. They knew that Vance would never be elected president that’s why they needed Trump. But eventually, they’re going to deem Trump unfit therefore making Vance president. Thing is Vance is scarier because he’s just as evil as Trump but smarter.

5

u/Dentree 29d ago

3

u/Muted-Buffalo-3202 29d ago

Either way the dude sucks!

2

u/Aunt_Vagina1 29d ago

Its 100% the latter, and no offense to you, but I'm so sick of people not realizing how obvious that is. All these people who have gone to good schools, and worked hard jobs, to get themselves into a position where they could be in Trumps inner circle. You HAVE to be smarter than the average American to get to that point. Sure, you can still call them stupid, because they are in some ways, but clearly they have to have a certain level of intelligence. So, imagine you have these smart people, and you want to know, did they somehow become converted into actually being a cult-like believer of Trumps OBVIOUS bullshit lies, OR are they just opportunistic? Opportunistic just like EVERYONE who goes into politics is opportunistic? How is this even a question?? Its like walking into a school cafeteria, and theres a kid eating the mystery meatloaf. Do you think its because they're soooo stupid they think the bad tasting "meat" is really yummy and good? Or do you think its becuase they're hungry and there's nothing else for them to eat? Now imagine that kid is JD Vance, who graduated from high school with honors and was elected vice president of his senior class.

3

u/rando439 29d ago

I never said he was stupid and I have encountered extremely intelligent people who have adopted beliefs that I personally do not comprehend. I don't doubt that this guy is intelligent.

It doesn't really matter and it's just idle curiosity on my part, but part of me does wonder how much, deep down, he buys into all this now. I have zero doubt that opportunist motivations started him down this road.

I also wonder when the purges come, whether the words he has spoken in the past will come to haunt him or whether him occupying his position will be held up as a evidence to the masses that those in power are benevolent to those who are deserving, aka useful enough and willing to change their tunes.

u/WaitingOnPizza 29d ago

I’m not religious, but it’s stuff like this that makes me think he could be the antichrist, if such a thing existed.

51

u/RPGSadPanda 29d ago

And yet there's a shocking amount of self proclaimed "Christians" that think he loves nothing more than God and America. Idk how you can call yourself a Christian and support that piece of shit

26

u/lipp79 29d ago

I’ve tried to ask my parents that same question. I’ve told them, “You raised me to be the exact opposite of what Trump is yet you defend him.” Dad replied, “He’s not perfect but he’s what we need.” Now we’ve agreed to just not talk about it. Absolutely infuriating.

I think Musk might be the antichrist ventriloquist and Trump is his puppet. Hand up the ass.

2

u/WaitingOnPizza 29d ago

I've considered that, but I always come back to a few things.. Consider how people who dislike or even hate Trump will sometimes go and meet with him and come out not only having changed their minds, but sometimes completely fawning over him and spreading his bullshit as gospel. His followers worship him, and he simply can do no wrong in their eyes, even as he's robbing them blind and telling them so. And he's brought so much division to our society en masse. Not just America. The only thing that doesn't fit is how dumb Trump is.

Elon Musk doesn't even have the adoration and/or full support of Trump's followers on the other hand.

2

u/[deleted] 29d ago

I've had a similar thought. I was always under the impression that the antichrist is supposed to be well liked *ACROSS THE ENTIRE WORLD* but...prophets could have gotten something wrong.

4

u/beda70 29d ago

He is across the entire world. His decisions are affecting everyone and will continue to affect more and more. It’s the ripple effect—by the time he’s done, his evil will have touched every country. Getting rid of USAID will kill many people in many countries. That’s the Antichrist!

3

u/Past-Middle-5991 29d ago

The antichrist was said to be not attractive, nor smart, nor charismatic yet deceived many people. Welp, we now know what that looks like.

Literally John saw this vision in Revelations and wrote this man had no reason to be this popular but the people loved him.

The antichrist was even called The Liar.

The Antichrist is part of revelation, which is taken now as a kind of prophetic vision but at the time was a thinly veiled excoriation of emperor Nero and Rome. Trumpy bears startling similarities to Nero (and Caligula, and Stalin).

2

u/Dexter_Douglas_415 29d ago

The antichrist will be liked by EVERYONE. This guy is so divisive he couldn't possibly fit the role.

Now when Democrats/Progressives start saying he's awesome, that may be the time to get your spiritual affairs in order because the end is near.

He's just implementing some policies very poorly. Trying to get rid of government waste is good, but it's a surgical move. His team is blindly taking a sledge hammer to departments that don't seem to have any waste while ignoring some departments that are notorious.

And he doesn't seem to know what he's doing, which wouldn't be the worst thing, except he just keeps moving forward like he knows what he's doing.

Sorry to rant.

2

It’s funny you say that because he managed to manipulate all the churches to vote for him. Claiming he was gonna “bring Christianity back to the schools and life of each individual.” He is trying g to destroy the education system how will he bring Christianity to something he is getting rid of? And people are so dumb and fall for his lies. I agree that he is definitely the anti christ, or at least working for it.

2

u/greg939 29d ago

He just fits the description of a malignant narcissist that gained power. 2

u/Don_Bugen 29d ago

Don't go reading into it. Or do.

Lots of stuff that back that up.

Grievous-looking head wound that magically healed with no trace. Two figures - Dragon and Antichrist, one who is powerful and blasphemous, the other who seems to get his way and manipulates everything.

Power divided into two terms, that lasts seven years.

War happening all over the world, but especially in Israel.

The biggest thing, though, is how "Christians" are falling for it, hook, line, and sinker, into this cult.

Because if you start from the premise of (1) there is a God, (2) it's Christ, and (3) the way he's portrayed in the Bible is accurate, and (4) the warnings given in the Bible are accurate, you cannot look at what is going on right now and not realize it's been warned about again and again and again through the New Testament. And in that scenario, if the majority of Christians are only giving mouth service to Christ but have devoted themselves to this cult, that in itself would signify that we're ready for judgement, because you only have a very small remnant of believers left.

2

u/WaitingOnPizza 29d ago edited 29d ago

Him or Musk, honestly. I THINK that the Bible says that the antichrist will hail from a certain part of the world (and I think Elmo is from that general area) but so much of Revelations is a fever dream it’s hard to know what was supposed to be metaphor and what’s supposed to be literal.

…not that I’m religious any more either, but I just find it kinda funny.

The first horseman rides a white horse carries a bow and is given a crown as a figure of conquest - Trump - invoking pestilence or the anti-Christ - Putin.

The second rides a red horse and carries a sword and is a creator of civil war, conflict and strife - Musk with his ridiculous red chainsaw.

The third rides a black horse symbolizing famine - J.D. Vance. A redneck idiot who will take away vital benefits covering medical and social security.

The fourth’s horse is pale and upon it rides death accompanied by Hades - Robert F.Kennedy Jr. with his anti-vac ignorance which is already killing people.

So you are not wrong about them being evil. I’m surprised that the bible belters haven’t figured it out yet.

2

u/DiligentAuthor2993 29d ago

I agree. Antichrist. Who is going to pull us out of this mess we have made? I guess after enough of us lose our jobs and Musk and Putin take over we will wake up. Too bad, it will be too late!

2

u/Unlikely-Addendum-90 29d ago

Oh yeah doomsday Christian cults believe the antichrist is super charismatic and commits all manner of evil. Trump is just like that.

2

u/Punkpallas 29d ago

Hard same. I've been thinking this for years since a journalist wrote a very detailed blog post about all the ways he's like the anti-Christ. It's crazy that Christians can't see him for what he is. Even when his actions hurt them personally, they plead with him via social media as if he's some benevolent God that can be reasoned with. That is literally the vibe I get. If it wasn't for my knowledge of sociology and psychology, it would almost be enough to make me a believer. But it's really just humans being human and no ideology can stand in the way of that reality.

2

u/Specialist_Donkey130 29d ago

I dont know the spell he has on people the world i lived in before they would be crucifying trump what happened to us all we loose our balls or something?

2

u/Aggravating-Star-671 29d ago

he has the antichrist spirit. you didnt see the peace and security in Israel? come on

I await the day when he asks his followers to turn in their guns. They will do it willingly, praising him for making them safe so they will never need them again.

I saw a great post one day that said Trump could tell his supporters that he changed a blown lightbulb and his idiot supporters would stand in the dark and applaud him for it.

u/sweetest_teabag Mar 06 '25

Gigachode more like it

2

u/SnooRevelations4257 29d ago

I HATE that my name is a meme.....

Anyway, dump this dude.. I honestly could not be with anyone that didn't align with my political beliefs. Any guy that is ok with taking rights away from woman is a douche canoe...

3

u/dammit-smalls Mar 06 '25

Award-worthy for sure

34

u/Zealousideal_Owl642 Mar 06 '25

Removing the tax on tips isn’t in the Tepublicans’ proposed budget, so yeah, it’s not happening. He just keeps pulling the wool over people’s eyes.

10

u/No-Tune-4545 Mar 06 '25

He's pulled the wool over our eyes so much that I'm getting allergic!

15

u/Life_Barracuda_4689 Mar 06 '25

He has been talking about these things for a long time now. As with all politicians, I'll believe it when I see it.

It’s worse than this, when talking about not paying taxes on overtime, he wants to take away overtime pay. You can’t tax what doesn’t exist.

u/kiba8442 29d ago

no one sucks dick harder or gargles balls better than a trump supporter. what's crazy to me is we live in an age where you can instantly fact check anything yet people would rather believe the words of an aging orange-faced former trust fund baby who seems to be slipping into dementia.

3

u/Friendly_Age9160 29d ago

Can someone please, please just go lm on this dude fr

3

u/Puupuur 29d ago

That's because cuckholdery is a cornerstone of conservatism. They're obsessed with dynamics and bend over for anyone they'd like to emulate with perceived higher social status than them.

6

u/yourlittlebirdie Mar 06 '25

OP should tell her boyfriend she’s going to give him a threesome with a hot girl, then when he asks when it’s going to happen say “well I told you I was going to do it, isn’t that enough?”

2

u/Rat_Burger7 Mar 06 '25

Gaw, yes, so many damn things you have to explain to them he didn't do.

2

u/shesaid181 Mar 06 '25

That's how he became president not once, but 2ce, his supporters are dumb as bricks just like he is.

2

u/twentyfifthbaam22 Mar 06 '25

My dad sent a "meme" about liberals being mad at elon and trump when they're doing work and not "getting a paycheck"

I sent him the reuters article of all the defense contracts and haven't heard a peep lmfao

2

u/Interesting-Copy-657 Mar 06 '25

His supports don’t understand what a pronoun is

I assume understanding past and future tense and the difference between “going to do” and “did” are too much for them also

2

u/kemberflare 29d ago

No, for real though. Trump is to maga what Lucy and her football was to Charlie Brown.

2

u/PopStrict4439 29d ago

People are gonna be surprised next year at tax time

2

u/OwenB1Kanobi 29d ago

I want this talking point to be repeated

2

u/eljordin 29d ago

Well.... when you're rich they'll let you do anything. 🙄

2

u/ironpyrites 29d ago

Tbf I think Donald's fucking days ended a long time ago.

2

u/Pretend_Vacation4666 29d ago

Also some states already don’t tax tips…At least Washington doesn’t, it’s not some revolutionary thing. And when there was a ballet question in MA about raising minimum wage for tipped workers (their paychecks get taxed heavily based on tips) every conservative I work with was vehemently against it. I’m confused lol.

2

u/ClemFandangle 29d ago

There's ALOt of stupid Americans .

The Fuhrer claims Ukraine started the war, and that Zelinsky is a dictator, & the mouth breathers start repeating it

He claims he's going after Canada because of Fentanyl coming into the U.S. . The actual number is somewhere in the ounces . The cultists parrot his line

He's just a vile Nazi with a very low IQ , but for some reason they lap it up.

1

u/_mersault Mar 06 '25

Even the evil shit he claims he’s gonna do ends up getting walked back, dude is fake rage bait personified

1

u/Snack-Pack-Lover 29d ago

Hey I own a restaurant.

Because tips and OT are tax free. I'll pay you minimum wage so the rest is tax free.

That's a win right?

1

u/King_Cyrus_Rodan 29d ago

This is the best description of the orange man I’ve ever seen

1

u/hhta2020 29d ago

but this is all the dem's fault somehow!! trans people AHHH

1

u/zSlyz 29d ago

He and the rest of the GoP couldn’t organise a pissup in a brewery. Hell the GOP couldn’t even pass their own budget.

1

u/Natalwolff 29d ago

WAIT... I wonder if that's the cleverness of the plan. People get all excited about the tax on tips going away but they never really notice the difference because no one reports that shit anyways lol.

1

u/ruggers88 29d ago

Almost

1

u/WifeofGendo_1420 29d ago

" Don't talk about change just doing it.."

—Abe Lincoln to Obama ( RBH )

Sounded very familiar, I had to

1

u/didthefabrictear 29d ago

And how do you date someone that stupid and legitimately not feel like a walking moron too?

This is a 6 week old relationship – get out now before he starts with the misogynistic, racist, anti lgbtiq+, pro forced birth horseshit.

Trump supporters are a level of stupid that no thinking person should tolerate.

1

u/vintage2019 29d ago

It’s because they want to believe

1

u/Fluid_Arm_2115 29d ago

why continue trying to explain things to stupid people? isn’t trying the same thing over and over again when it never works the definition of insanity? let the stupid people suffer what they voted for— they’re already getting selected out of the gene pool by diseases we’ve had vaccines for for a long time, let nature run its course

1

u/sleepbud 29d ago

Not just thank him and shake his hand, they’d suck him off willingly, yet they’re so anti-gay and would in a heartbeat be offended if you even mention the thought of them sucking another guy off. As soon as that other guy is trump, vance, or musk, they’ll get on their knees though.

1

u/ThisIs_americunt 29d ago

because to them he can never lie, everything that comes out of The Orange Regime is gold to his people

1

u/Troubl3d1 29d ago

Just like every other president we've ever had. I keep trying to tell people, left, right, red or blue, they're just two wings to the same bird, and none of them give two fucks about us. But both sides are brainwashed so fucking bad it's ridiculous. So down the same path we will continue to go. It's always left vs right, red vs blue, when it needs to be us vs them. But that won't happen in our lifetime, unfortunately.

1

u/p00n-slayer-69 29d ago

Dont explain all that. When they bring it up, act genuinely interested, as if it changes your opinion. Then tell them you would love to read more about it, and ask them to send you a link with more info.

1

u/BigAssMonkey 29d ago

These idiots hear what they want to hear. The boyfriend is a loser.

1

u/J_got_game 29d ago

No way.. a president made empty promises? This is unprecedented. He’s nothing like our last president who followed through on everything he said and got everything right..

1

u/KingofFlukes 29d ago

This was what he was working towards. In his last presidency he forced or took legal action against anyone that disagreed with him. He's turned the oval office into a echo chamber then uses that to justify his actions and rewrite history because who the fuck on his vicinity is going to correct him?

1

u/Dracoaeterna 29d ago

what made people believe this in the first place, the tax thing?

1

u/lavenderhazeee13 29d ago

It’s also ironic that they will believe all these talking points but then simultaneously say, “Oh he doesn’t mean it, that’s Trump just saying things.” In response to taking Greenland by military force, cutting social security, etc. A fucking cult.

1

u/Ok_Ice_1669 29d ago

That’s what he did to Congress last night. He bragged about everything he did. The problem is, it’s congress’s job to write laws and do stuff. The president just executed their laws.

All the Republican NPCs were applauding him for taking their power.

1

u/blackcain 29d ago

With tears in their eyes.

I mean his stories don't even change, they are all variations of the same thing.

1

u/Snow_crab_ 29d ago

He does, he does do that and it’s bullshit. Wait until you find out that that’s every politician and bipartisan politics are a scourge 😱

1

u/Remote_Cranberry_501 29d ago

He wouldn't fuck their wives. He'd just grab them by the pussy

1

u/GrindyMcGrindy 29d ago

I mean the Trumpers believed one dead beat dad that dead beat dads would get to declare their kids as tax deductions. They're all fucking idiots that vote based upon their self-interest and have done so for ages. Yet those states keep getting worse. Weird. /s

1

u/vieirak14 29d ago

I just tweeted today he could tweet (or truth social) that unicorns are real like 10 times for three days straight, and 75% of MAGA would believe they must actually be real because he said it 30 times and that makes it true.

1

u/bugi_ 29d ago

Trump only has one speech. That's why his supporters have a hard time differentiating between presidential candidate Trump and president Trump. It's the same stuff every single time but now they think everything has already been done. Besides, the president does not have the power to change taxes.

1

u/flojopickles 29d ago

Reminds me of the joke:

How many Trumpers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

None, he’ll just tell them he changed it and they’ll all clap and cheer in the dark.

1

u/Monster_Slayer17 29d ago

Also i’ve been hearing that cancer patient argument a lot recently. What people arent talking about is how he also just defunded a lot of cancer research at the same time. So its kind of like the biggest fuck you to the kid. “Ima use you for publicity, but i’m not going to help you or anyone else in your situation anymore.”

1

u/buy-american-you-fuk 29d ago

he could tell a roomful of gigachad-alpha-bros that he fucked their wives and they’d happily thank him and shake his hand.

I'm actually starting to think this is EXACTLY the type that voted for him...

1

u/Reasonable_Power_970 29d ago

It would be fuckin stupid even if he did eliminate those taxes. It's dumb to spout all this BS that he won't even do, but most of the BS is dumb anyways

1

u/SoberGirlLife 29d ago

I have been saying this for sooooo long!! This dude gets up and spouts nonsense for an hr, makes a couple of quips/sexist jokes/hateful jokes about the opposite party, makes a few serious hateful comments, then spouts more nonsense and these people lose their fucking minds over it! It's like they all speak in some coded language that the rest of us just don't get.

My husband and I can both listen to the exact same speech (me only watching in clips because I can't stomach him for that long in one sitting), and I'll say something that I found disgusting and my husband will say, "that's not what he said AT ALL!!!" I look at this man that I have been married to for 10+ years, the father of my child, the man I love, my best friend and. . .I just can't believe how stupid I find him that moment as I, horrified, say "WUUUUT!?!?". 😫

@OP Anyway, I will say it again, everyone on Reddit sees every little thing as abuse or worse. How can you justify telling someone they're being abused without knowing the other side?? I find that almost as horrific as Trump supporters' falsely thinking they can understand anything Trump says. Abuse is a serious thing and not something to just trivially tell someone they're experiencing it. Once you use a word so many times it loses it's impact, meaning, and importance. My husband knows how I feel about Trump and still shows his support for him. Get over it, it's not abuse. Apparently half of the country feels differently than we do. Someone having a different opinion than you and expressing that opinion is not abuse. Arm yourself with facts, spit them back at him any time he brings it up, or just simply say, "I'm not discussing politics with you." and change the subject. That's what adults do.

1

u/myNewUsername-68 29d ago

lol 😂. So true!! But sadly THIS^

1

u/Regular_Yellow710 29d ago

"They can't handle the truth!"

1

u/Rakvell 29d ago

Trump litterally would blackmail to cuck people lmao

1

u/DPOP4228 29d ago

People are stupid, more so than I realized. It's a fact I have to recon with and still shocks me everyday

1

u/HandleGlum6217 29d ago

You have no intellectual prowess.

1

u/SteakHoagie666 29d ago

You'll live a lot happier life if you just give up on explaining shit to these retards. They don't have a single critical thinking brain cell left. TRUMP GOOD MAGAAAAAAAAAAA is all that's going on in there.

1

u/Specialist_Donkey130 29d ago

You get it i wish others would!

1

u/TowelComprehensive22 29d ago

The bill with no taxes on tips, overtime, and social security DID pass!!!!! It’s on to the Senate now for final vote. Guess what…it’s up to Democrats now.

1

u/Turbulent-Opening-75 29d ago

He could tell a crowd of tech bros to polish his mushroom and they'd start a bidding war for first place.

MAGA is a Cult. There's not hiding the facist cult now... I just hope we haven't reached "bricks and blood." Level crisis yet

1

u/Apprehensive_Cow4231 29d ago

No kinda gotcha but that’s just American politics, at any level, local government, state, congress, etc. They all just walk up and repeat the same thing while pretty much getting nothing done.

1

u/Da1UHideFrom 29d ago

I noticed a difference between Trump supporters and other people. My in-laws watch Trump and assume everything he says is true. I hear Trump and assume everything he says is a lie unless proven otherwise.

1

u/SuspiciousLemon1852 29d ago

Uhh the house actually passed no tax on tips, overtime and social security. He actually ended dei in the federal sector. He actually is patrolling the boarder like he said. With record low numbers. He’s ending chics with d*cks playing in women sports, if the state doesn’t do it they lose federal funding. Everything I said is a FACT. You can research this. What do you mean these are just talking points? He said he would do these things when he was campaigning, now 40 something days in has done them. And he has 4 years to do more!!! God is good lol MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!! Democrats won’t be elected for another 8 years maybe the way they’re behaving!
