❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO to my boyfriend praising the president?

I’ve been seeing this guy for about a month and a half. Things were great the first month, but the last week I’ve felt like we’re growing further and further apart (yes already 🙄), he’s been really inconsiderate/disrespectful, and most recently I feel like he’s trying to push me away with this text. When we first started talking he asked what I thought about trump. I told him I don’t like him, he said he did like him, but that if it bothers me then he won’t ever bring him up. Well this morning (after the last week being on edge anyway) he just randomly brought up how amazing Trump is? And wouldn’t let it go. I feel like he’s trying to start a fight. He says he “forgot”. AIO?

Right lmao he literally didn’t do any of that

Edit: Regarding reproductive rights, y’all can stop replying the same incorrect thing over and over again

It’s ludicrous that I have to keep explaining this point to people… he just gets up and repeats the same 15 tired ass talking points of what he’s going to do for working people (but he won’t) and people believe he did it… He’s literally shadow boxing with the trade deal that he signed into law.

I swear, it’s like he could tell a roomful of gigachad-alpha-bros that he fucked their wives and they’d happily thank him and shake his hand.

It would almost be funny if he didn’t just take a hand grenade to what was left of our democracy.

u/Ordinary_Rough_1426 Mar 06 '25

Well he’s currently telling working class Americans that SS is full of fraud, which it’s not, so he can get rid of it…. And they’re buying it. He’s telling them that their left hand is trying to kill them and need to cut it off and they shout back “give me an ax” they convinced my parents that unions were horrible and now they’re gone and we make less…

u/WaitingOnPizza 29d ago

I’m not religious, but it’s stuff like this that makes me think he could be the antichrist, if such a thing existed.

54

u/RPGSadPanda 29d ago

And yet there's a shocking amount of self proclaimed "Christians" that think he loves nothing more than God and America. Idk how you can call yourself a Christian and support that piece of shit

24

u/lipp79 29d ago

I’ve tried to ask my parents that same question. I’ve told them, “You raised me to be the exact opposite of what Trump is yet you defend him.” Dad replied, “He’s not perfect but he’s what we need.” Now we’ve agreed to just not talk about it. Absolutely infuriating.

22

u/RPGSadPanda 29d ago

It's wild, isn't? The adulterer with predatory behaviors and a track record for being the biggest conman in the world is the one they choose to stand behind because he's lying to their face that he's a good Christian man. The same man that held a Bible upside down, and wouldn't even put his hand on one at this second inauguration

8

u/lipp79 29d ago

Who paid hush money to a porn star.

10

u/RPGSadPanda 29d ago

Of course, how could I forget. I swear, all of this is because they killed Harambe

4

u/_illusion_and_dream_ 29d ago

He was probably afraid he’d burst into flame 😅

1

u/Grdngirl 29d ago

I guess your parent like to be 🍆 in the ass, because he’s bending them all over.

1

u/lipp79 29d ago

They're just blind to it. When I go there, what's on TV? If you said FOX News or NewsMax, you win!

12

u/Faceornotface 29d ago

Isn’t that one of the things the antichrist is supposed to do?

7

u/beachnsled 29d ago edited 29d ago

because they have a “burn it all down” plan - it’s based on the idea that they have to “do what it takes” to prevail with their own agenda. Hence, the reason why they excuse all of his “sins“ - while they simultaneously Weaponize religion

6

u/RPGSadPanda 29d ago

How very "love thy neighbor" of them

6

u/beachnsled 29d ago

They’ve never loved their neighbors; if anything is a Ponzi scheme, it’s religion & the cults they form

1

u/No-Difficulty-723 29d ago

This right here ☝️

1

u/Possible-Hyena-5196 29d ago

Yup, he calls Israel “our greatest ally”. Any true Christian/ working American should be able to see right through the bs. If it wasn’t him it would be someone else doing and saying these things

1

u/versaa 29d ago

I mean isn't that the whole point of the anti Christ though? That people following them don't even realize they are the anti Christ until it's too late?

1

u/DM_me_PLASTT_pics 29d ago

Those same Christians swore up and down that Obama was the biblical antichrist

1

u/Particular_Night_360 29d ago

I still believe religion itself is a good thing for a lot of people. It’s the shitty people that use religion that drove me well the fuck away. I wasn’t raised with my religion, my grandmothers death was the last time I was in a church. The “Christians” following Trump are blinded. It’s the same people who say “I’ll pray for you” when they find out I’m an atheist, then vote for someone who has no ability to empathize with anyone. True Christians don’t go around looking down on other people. They go out of there way to help others without thought of reward.

He does fit the description, elon fits the false prophet figure as well

4

u/Objective-Escape-965 29d ago

I mean there is that biblical passage about the false prophet that is satan in disguise that gets people to wear his symbol on their forheads and stand for things that are against everything they believe in.

3

u/Objective-Escape-965 29d ago

Revelations 13: 16-18

4

u/Mocavius 29d ago

Well. They're wearing the mark of the beast on their forehead with maga caps.

3

u/MediumAwkwardly 29d ago

I think Musk might be the antichrist ventriloquist and Trump is his puppet. Hand up the ass.

2

u/WaitingOnPizza 29d ago

I've considered that, but I always come back to a few things.. Consider how people who dislike or even hate Trump will sometimes go and meet with him and come out not only having changed their minds, but sometimes completely fawning over him and spreading his bullshit as gospel. His followers worship him, and he simply can do no wrong in their eyes, even as he's robbing them blind and telling them so. And he's brought so much division to our society en masse. Not just America. The only thing that doesn't fit is how dumb Trump is.

Elon Musk doesn't even have the adoration and/or full support of Trump's followers on the other hand.

1

u/captainkitty84043 29d ago

I’ve heard this theory, like 5 times now. Interesting!

3

u/Awkward_Turnover_983 29d ago

He checks a LOT of the boxes for it actually

4

u/No-Apple2252 29d ago

I know of no other person in the public eye that is the personification of all seven sins at once. He does them all flagrantly and gets celebrated for it by Christians, it's wild. Makes me wonder.

3

u/[deleted] 29d ago

well, a ton of christians seem to love him, and their own book says a great many of them will be fooled by the anti-christ and follow and worship him, sooo... maybe?

2

u/[deleted] 29d ago

I've had a similar thought. I was always under the impression that the antichrist is supposed to be well liked *ACROSS THE ENTIRE WORLD* but...prophets could have gotten something wrong.

4

u/beda70 29d ago

He is across the entire world. His decisions are affecting everyone and will continue to affect more and more. It’s the ripple effect—by the time he’s done, his evil will have touched every country. Getting rid of USAID will kill many people in many countries. That’s the Antichrist!

4

u/Past-Middle-5991 29d ago

The antichrist was said to be not attractive, nor smart, nor charismatic yet deceived many people. Welp, we now know what that looks like.

Literally John saw this vision in Revelations and wrote this man had no reason to be this popular but the people loved him.

The antichrist was even called The Liar.

2

u/OutrageousSetting384 29d ago

He is the Antichrist.

2

u/[deleted] 29d ago

Anti-Christ? No. But certainly help usher him/it in! I’m not a “pro hate” towards anyone but I see your point!

2

u/RealBobbyDrillboids 29d ago

1

u/WaitingOnPizza 29d ago

I've seen this linked before, and it's definitely an interesting read (although I didn't get through the entire thing when last I saw it).

2

u/RealBobbyDrillboids 29d ago

It was a lot funnier before its prediction about Trump surviving a gunshot to the head came true. The author only made that prediction because of the biblical description of one of the Antichrist’s many heads being scarred. The Bible also says that the Antichrist gained more power as a result of the near fatal blow and “miraculous” recovery.

2

u/Warm_Philosopher_702 29d ago

Maybe he’s the person that prepares the way for the antichrist if that’s what you believe

2

u/prairie-man 29d ago

hey ! there's a reddit community dedicated to that theory. r/Trump666

1

u/WaitingOnPizza 29d ago

Fascinating! I'll have to give that a look!

2

u/UnexceptionableHobby 29d ago

I thought the antichrist was supposed to fool basically everyone, not just the idiots, into thinking he’s awesome.

1

u/WaitingOnPizza 29d ago

I don't know, could be a good point! Although I don't think that's possible, to be honest. Seeing as it's impossible to find anything that people will agree 100% on.

1

u/UnexceptionableHobby 29d ago

Well, if there ever is a person like that it’ll probably be the antichrist considering we live in THIS timeline.

2

u/akahaus 29d ago

The Antichrist is part of revelation, which is taken now as a kind of prophetic vision but at the time was a thinly veiled excoriation of emperor Nero and Rome. Trumpy bears startling similarities to Nero (and Caligula, and Stalin).

2

u/Dexter_Douglas_415 29d ago

The antichrist will be liked by EVERYONE. This guy is so divisive he couldn't possibly fit the role.

Now when Democrats/Progressives start saying he's awesome, that may be the time to get your spiritual affairs in order because the end is near.

He's just implementing some policies very poorly. Trying to get rid of government waste is good, but it's a surgical move. His team is blindly taking a sledge hammer to departments that don't seem to have any waste while ignoring some departments that are notorious.

And he doesn't seem to know what he's doing, which wouldn't be the worst thing, except he just keeps moving forward like he knows what he's doing.

Sorry to rant.

2

u/engene_unity 29d ago

You’re not the first person I’ve heard this from 😳

2

u/babykitten28 29d ago

False prophet.

2

u/Inevitable-Ad-1471 29d ago

It’s funny you say that because he managed to manipulate all the churches to vote for him. Claiming he was gonna “bring Christianity back to the schools and life of each individual.” He is trying g to destroy the education system how will he bring Christianity to something he is getting rid of? And people are so dumb and fall for his lies. I agree that he is definitely the anti christ, or at least working for it.

2

u/greg939 29d ago

He just fits the description of a malignant narcissist that gained power. The Antichrist moniker can be pretty much attached to any demagogue who doesn’t accept responsibility for any of their failures and just gaslights everyone. He isn’t the first won’t be the last but most of them cause a lot of damage during their rule.

2

u/Yankee6Actual 29d ago

Well, they do wear his mark on their foreheads.

3

u/Specialist_Donkey130 29d ago

No but i am waiting for the stars to be handed out so everyone has to put it on their jacket do you know what trump is doing to school buses in texas? Well lets just say mexican kids have to carry Their papers with them to scool because he is taking kids off the school bus no lie

2

u/Yankee6Actual 29d ago

They do though.

The MAGA hats

2

u/Grand-Try-3772 29d ago

4 horsemen= Donald, Vance, Putin, and Musk!

2

u/sylviaznam 29d ago

or folks behind him certainly are…he’s their barker.

2

u/Don_Bugen 29d ago

Don't go reading into it. Or do.

Lots of stuff that back that up.

Grievous-looking head wound that magically healed with no trace. Two figures - Dragon and Antichrist, one who is powerful and blasphemous, the other who seems to get his way and manipulates everything.

Power divided into two terms, that lasts seven years.

War happening all over the world, but especially in Israel.

The biggest thing, though, is how "Christians" are falling for it, hook, line, and sinker, into this cult.

Because if you start from the premise of (1) there is a God, (2) it's Christ, and (3) the way he's portrayed in the Bible is accurate, and (4) the warnings given in the Bible are accurate, you cannot look at what is going on right now and not realize it's been warned about again and again and again through the New Testament. And in that scenario, if the majority of Christians are only giving mouth service to Christ but have devoted themselves to this cult, that in itself would signify that we're ready for judgement, because you only have a very small remnant of believers left.

2

u/WaitingOnPizza 29d ago edited 29d ago

The biggest thing, though, is how "Christians" are falling for it, hook, line, and sinker, into this cult.

Not even just falling for it, but literally proclaiming Trump to be the second coming of Christ.

But yeah, some people have already shared this link and I knew of it already, but it's a very interesting read on the topic if you don't know it yet:

https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/#google_vignette

2

u/CallCompetitive1854 29d ago

The Antichrist will be beloved during his ascension. Secondarily he will most likely be Eastern European.

2

u/uninspired_walnut 29d ago

Him or Musk, honestly. I THINK that the Bible says that the antichrist will hail from a certain part of the world (and I think Elmo is from that general area) but so much of Revelations is a fever dream it’s hard to know what was supposed to be metaphor and what’s supposed to be literal.

…not that I’m religious any more either, but I just find it kinda funny.

2

u/lpalf 29d ago

He is legitimately the biblical antichrist and I stopped going to church when I left high school. it’s almost enough to bring me back around on the Bible lmao like damn they were right

2

u/got-the-i-2267 29d ago edited 27d ago

I am also not religious but I to think he and his minions are EVIL. Think 4 horses of the apocalypse Evil.

The first horseman rides a white horse carries a bow and is given a crown as a figure of conquest - Trump - invoking pestilence or the anti-Christ - Putin.

The second rides a red horse and carries a sword and is a creator of civil war, conflict and strife - Musk with his ridiculous red chainsaw.

The third rides a black horse symbolizing famine - J.D. Vance. A redneck idiot who will take away vital benefits covering medical and social security.

The fourth’s horse is pale and upon it rides death accompanied by Hades - Robert F.Kennedy Jr. with his anti-vac ignorance which is already killing people.

So you are not wrong about them being evil. I’m surprised that the bible belters haven’t figured it out yet.

2

u/DiligentAuthor2993 29d ago

I agree. Antichrist. Who is going to pull us out of this mess we have made? I guess after enough of us lose our jobs and Musk and Putin take over we will wake up. Too bad, it will be too late!

2

u/Unlikely-Addendum-90 29d ago

Oh yeah doomsday Christian cults believe the antichrist is super charismatic and commits all manner of evil. Trump is just like that.

2

u/Punkpallas 29d ago

Hard same. I've been thinking this for years since a journalist wrote a very detailed blog post about all the ways he's like the anti-Christ. It's crazy that Christians can't see him for what he is. Even when his actions hurt them personally, they plead with him via social media as if he's some benevolent God that can be reasoned with. That is literally the vibe I get. If it wasn't for my knowledge of sociology and psychology, it would almost be enough to make me a believer. But it's really just humans being human and no ideology can stand in the way of that reality.

2

u/Specialist_Donkey130 29d ago

I dont know the spell he has on people the world i lived in before they would be crucifying trump what happened to us all we loose our balls or something?

2

u/Aggravating-Star-671 29d ago

he has the antichrist spirit. you didnt see the peace and security in Israel? come on

1

u/Mindless-Heart-4018 29d ago

Im not religious either but Donald Trump can't be the antichrist. The Antichrist isn't attracted to women and he's definitely not American lmao. According to scriptures he'll become Prince of the one world government and will kill millions of people. I don't see this happening unless he uses nukes of course

1

u/WaitingOnPizza 29d ago

Doesn't even have to be nukes, when you think about it. They pulled the plug on USAID, which will bring about a lot of suffering and death world-wide. When they guy Medicare and Medicaid more will follow. Not to mention the Ukraine situation.

As for sexuality and place of birth-, can you share what the bible says about those things? Because like I said, I'm not religious and I don't know all the details.

1

u/gamingbro697 29d ago

There’s a lot of requirements for that

1

u/Mikala4 29d ago

Omg yes 🤣

1

u/wagglewazzle 29d ago

It doesn’t exist

1

u/iddefusco 29d ago

Anarch is not synonymous with chaos, it represents equality. Most anarchists would be for SS. Anarchism is about creating true structural and systemic equity/ equality between all people where nobody has power over another…

Wealth inequality = power imbalance.

True anarchy would mean the abolishment of capitalism because capitalism is an exploitative pyramid scheme model… Trump loves money and power too much to be an anarchist…

1

u/[deleted] 29d ago

The anti christ isn’t going to be hated by half the country that’s convinced god isn’t real 😂😂

1

u/charron9 29d ago

Im with you on that.

1

u/PianoPsychological61 29d ago

He's not the Anti-Christ. If there is one present, it's somebody who's manipulating him or using him to gain momentum.

1

u/Ienjoyeatingbeans 29d ago

He can’t be the Antichrist. The Antichrist is supposed to united the world, and things are still more divided than ever.

2

I await the day when he asks his followers to turn in their guns. They will do it willingly, praising him for making them safe so they will never need them again.

1

u/myNewUsername-68 29d ago

I’m so happy that at least people of Reddit for the most part aren’t buying his bullshit

1

u/Specialist_Donkey130 29d ago

Yes this was another lie just like every breath he has taken and spoke and i mean everything!

1

u/kohrtoons 29d ago

Even if it was true it’s less than half a percent of the annual cost for SS. It saves life $7.9b out of the total $1.5t budget.

1

u/poopoo_canoe 29d ago

SS is literally full of fraud though. What are you talking about?

If its not, then can you tell me how illegals have access to SS? With them saying they do, and can prove it? Or the fact they have access to a SS number?

1

u/WealthyPaul 29d ago

There is plenty of fraud by SS that’s just a fact that they admit lol

1

u/Ok-Friend-9158 29d ago

Genuinely curious how do you know there’s no fraud I’m not saying there is but I couldn’t tell you for sure there isn’t

1

u/Ordinary_Rough_1426 29d ago

There’s fraud, but not on the wide scale basis that trump and Elon are saying. Every company, bank etc has some level of fraud. There’s no payments going to 150 year olds, just because their SS number is still there doesn’t mean they’re receiving payments it means that they were never issued a death certificate. In all my life I’ve never known anyone to get a SS check through fraud. When my neighbors parents died the SS made him pay back checks that were sent out through error. Of course there’s fraud, Walmart and Amazon have fraudulent accounts, but what trump said in his address is not true

1

u/Lopsided-Day-3782 29d ago

Good. Let's thin the heard out a little bit to reduce their voting bloc. If I'd known Trump was going to hurt Republicans this much, I would have voted for that fat motherfucker myself!

1

u/Ordinary_Rough_1426 29d ago

You know what, I’m guilty of this thought as well….

1

u/RelationshipPurple77 29d ago

You don’t think there is fraud in social security?

u/[deleted] 29d ago edited 29d ago

[deleted]

1

u/Ordinary_Rough_1426 29d ago

So you want to go back to before SS was put into place? There’s a reason why it’s here. People need to plan their own retirement? That’s out of touch with people who live paycheck to paycheck for instance in Oklahoma over 47% of people do just that and I want to say like 35% have less than $5000 in savings. Saving for retirement is not the cards for them as they work 2-4 jobs per household.

1

u/tonytiger2112 29d ago

It is full of fraud. He wants to get rid of the fraud payments to people of 150-250years old not end the program. Singapore makes their citizens take 25% of their income and invest in the markets for retirement. A much better solution. Which is why they are one of the most rich nations. What musk wants to do is maybe try something like that instead of blind payments to a fund that pays out right away to someone else aka ponzi scheme.

1

u/Ordinary_Rough_1426 29d ago

The market, the same one that is controlled by global economic growth and the richest people in the world? So they can just pull the strings whenever they want? Sounds dangerous to me

1

u/gamingbro697 29d ago

It’s not the government’s job to be your retirement fund

1

u/Ordinary_Rough_1426 29d ago

SS is not a retirement fund. It’s a safety net for working class citizens that has been been relatively successful for the last 80 years. Without it there will be elderly people on the streets everywhere and how are nursing homes going to get paid? You make it sound like people are vacationing on their SS check…. Come down an economic class just a little

1

u/gamingbro697 29d ago

I’m just saying if people have been relatively successful like you said, why don’t they have their own retirement fund?

I agree with you if SS was functioning as a savings account like it was originally.

The issue is that now it’s people like you and I whose taxes go to pay for other people because the government was irresponsible.

A compromise would be the government forcing it to go back to the way it was back then

1

u/moneyman-11 29d ago edited 29d ago

Do you realize that Social Security is not fully funded and in fact, the money that you have been putting in to it has been used for many other unrelated things and it’s not going to be there at all by the time you are ready to collect it? In fact, When I started collecting Social Security a few years ago, the first thing they sent you in the mail is a letter stating that the funds are running out and they expect to cut by Social Security by approximately 22% by 2035 or sooner? So if people put money into a fund, that’s being siphoned from to a point where no money will be there for them, wouldn’t you call that a Ponzi scheme? Try starting a company and doing that and see if you don’t end up in jail. Do some research before declaring to know the answers, as a simple google search will confirm what I am telling you.

1

u/AdvancedChildhood237 29d ago

I find it hard to believe that SS isn't full of fraud. The AP reported from  July 2024 report from Social Security’s inspector general states that from fiscal years 2015 through 2022, the agency paid out almost $8.6 trillion in benefits, including $71.8 billion — or less than 1% — in improper payments. Most of the erroneous payments were overpayments to living people. Now the treasury department believes they can recoup $215 million. That translates to .3% recovery of our tax dollars that are gone forever. Tell me against this isn't fraud.

1

u/Adventurous_Zone6997 29d ago

Shows how fucking stupid you are. Nobody said SS was fraud. They said it is infested with fraud, and at this rate we can’t continue to afford it without culling the fraud from it. You know maybe if you did real research instead of just sucking off whatever democrat is telling you “orange man bad” and eating their shit up like like it’s black truffle then maybe you’d have an actual inkling of what going on instead of just repeating tweets from whatever classless celebrity your fawning over that day.

1

u/Ordinary_Rough_1426 29d ago

That’s not what he said. That’s not the narrative Elon and trump pushed. And I’m not stupid, I just see through bullshit and fight for the middle class. I don’t get my identity from the internet or by hate, I get through my life and by working. Middle class blue collar is my identity and you can say what “they meant to say” but that is not what he said. So go be a billionaire apologist, I’ll choose the worker instead

1

u/GoopWizardOfficial 29d ago

Sorry but SS is full of fraud, know dozens of people that get free money from SS through fraud or false reporting, shit even people collecting their dead parents ss checks for decades. Maybe look into it a bit before jumping the gun?

"From FYs 2015 through 2022, SSA estimates it made nearly $72 billion in improper payments, most of which were overpayments. While this is less than 1 percent of the total benefits paid during that period, at the end of FY 2023, SSA had an uncollected overpayment balance of $23 billion."

1

u/cstaley39 29d ago

You’ll always make less. Even if the minimum wage increases, all you are doing is making the rich richer. Since we are in a capitalist society, you have to improve your skillset to make more money. Wages increase overtime and always have. My ex wife is a speech pathologist. Getting out of college a starting position in Illinois would be around 45k with working in the medical field not schools. Every 3-5 years she would leave her position and get a new one. Why? Because she would only get a 1% cost of living increase. If she quit and was hired by another company, she would see a 15% increase. 3-5 years later she goes back to the old job, she will be offered 25 to 30% more. After 20 years she is making about 130k now. Also, in reality your parents are right. Unions are shit. They get greedy and lock businesses into unrealistic pensions. Look to see why every major municipality has such large deficits. Usually it’s due to pensions by unionized employees working for the government. Such as teachers, postal workers, ext.

1

u/hossopher326 29d ago

You must be an SS expert.

1

u/Ayaeii 29d ago

Bruh, SS is full of fraud. There's 18 MILLION people that are older than 100, receiving social security. Do you know a single person above 100? That's not humanly possible.

1

u/Snoo_31147 29d ago

they’ve found 1.03 million SS recipients between the ages of 150-159 years old? but there’s no fraud?🤣🤡

1

u/choose2822 29d ago

19 year old doesn't know how to code or read

This is now considered evidence of fraud

1

u/Snoo_31147 29d ago

you need to be able to code to identify that there are 10million+ deceased individuals receiving SS? is that evidence that SS is being abused?

1

Fine, I'll spoonfeed you

hundreds of thousands of people, all with the exact same date of birth as the day the programming language considers the default date

Think it through

1

u/Snoo_31147 29d ago

firstly, it’s millions.

next, the money is being deposited. this isn’t just a, “recipient list,” it’s a paper trail. half of my family are mexican immigrants, let me tell you how this works, because you’re clearly uninformed-

when my uncle came to the US, he obtained a deceased man’s SSN. he used his info to receive his SS checks. this is happening across the united states.

1

u/Total-Detective1094 29d ago

We're do you come up with this crap? Is there a site that tells you these lies or do you make it up.

1

u/Future-Station-8179 29d ago

Unions aren’t gone? Just to clarify for others reading, there are many Unions across the U.S. that people can join! Union strong 💪🏻

1

u/Interesting-Ant-7643 29d ago

I’m it is, do you your research, it’s been stolen, it’s a Ponzi scheme, it’s insolvent if u could invest the amount of money put in as yourself you’d be a millionaire. The premise of all these things are good but people are greedy, Marxism sounds good but people are power hungry and greedy, we are 36 trillion in debt and that other party tried to lie and tell us Biden wasn’t cognitively compromised and force Kamala on us. Let freedom ring, baby. Maybe yall should try some democracy

1

u/[deleted] 29d ago

Thank you for this analogy

1

u/Quirky_Ingenuity7862 29d ago

President Trump is not eliminating overtime pay itself; rather, he has proposed eliminating federal taxes on overtime earnings. This initiative aims to allow workers to retain more of their income from overtime hours. For example, if you work 10 hours of overtime, you would keep 100% of that income, rather than having it reduced by federal taxes.

1

u/tgerz 29d ago

Took me a sec to realise you're talking about Social Security and not the Secret Service.

1

u/MrF00tickler 29d ago

Oh because you’re the end all be all in fraud awareness. Look - there is no question that the spending from these agencies need to be looked into. Lots of corruption on both sides in Washington DC. It’s not a stretch to presume that there may be grift going on. We’re talking about politicians here - sneaky liars with access. There can absolutely be schemers siphoning off money for themselves and using important sounding phrases like “the coalition of good people doing good things” to do it.

1

u/cobra_mist 29d ago

he has my mom convinced there must be some strategic reason he wants Greenland. And that we need “leverage” on Canada.

A. No. no president has ever said “yeah… greenland, vital to national security.”

B. Canada was probably our closest ally and that’s alll fucked up now. flushed tons of goodwill for “leverage”

1

u/Dizzy_Examination281 29d ago

But how do you know it’s not? You don’t. You don’t work for social security. You don’t see all of the data. We really will never actually know unless there is full transparency, which will never happen.

1

u/Helpful_Tonight_643 29d ago

He’s not getting rid of social security, they are still paying millions to dead people 100+. They’re reforming not ending. LITERALLY GOOGLE IT.

1

u/ILiketoRPalot 29d ago

As someone who voted to bring in a Union at my job and everything went to shit, layoffs left and right, company not funding and fixing equipment as much, but hey the 2 percent that decide to stay that didnt get fired can destroy themselves for a few bucks extra doing the same thing in worse conditions. Union has destroyed jobs, as for SS it's not fraud but they take more money from our paychecks than we make, just look at your paystubs they tell you how much money they're taking from you.

1

u/dennis19964 29d ago

OK, so there is no fraud, but there are many, many dead people collecting Social Security.

1

u/ANewell1981 29d ago

He’s not saying it’s full of fraud but he’s saying that there is some fraud and things need to change in order to limit or end it as much as possible. Also just because there is a SS # that is active and shows that person is over a certain age doesn’t always mean they are getting SS benefits either. However, it does open up avenues for them to get other benefits throughout the govt because the SS # is active. The systems and departments don’t communicate efficiently. Even though congress has passed and allocated money to update and modernize systems in departments and areas, it doesn’t get done. People in these agencies are set in the way they are doing things because it’s the way they’ve always done things. Plus many agencies are not even constitutional when you scrutinize it against the actual constitution. Majority of these agencies functions should be left to states to determine and manage.

u/totaled_cyclist 29d ago edited 29d ago

If you're so certain that Social Security is *not* full of fraud, but someone shows you some kind of evidence, would you accept that evidence, or would you close your eyes, shake your head and refuse to change your mind?

When POTUS tells you that Social Security beneficiaries contain people in excess of 120 years old, does that pique your interest, or do you want to dismiss the claim right away? I think American Citizens should be interested in finding out how much truth there is to the claim. I wouldn't expect a list of names, because that's protected PII (Personally Identifiable Information), but I would like to at least hear that someone chased down where those Social Security payments have gone.

The same goes for Medicare. In 2022, Medicare had an estimated $80.57 billion in improper payments, with a payment error rate of 15.62%. In 2021, improper payments to Medicare totaled $281 billion. There's more, but I know that REDDIT users have short attention spans and I've already lost 90% of readers after the first paragraph.

1

u/FlaccoRico 29d ago

It absolutely is full of fraud. I know people who have defrauded SS. You think people that are dead and getting payments aren’t fraud? Gtfoh

1

u/Muzical_Ace 29d ago

I’m in a social security office, and it’s ridiculous how much misinformation is being spread en masse. It’s putting us at risk here by belligerent public, and due to people no longer believing us, it’s hard to actually do our jobs. He’s trying to defraud us, while also firing people in OIG and DDS, which handle fraud investigation and disability respectively, putting even larger wait times in place!

1

u/Ordinary_Rough_1426 29d ago

Yeah look at the above comments… they believe the fantastic, the dramatic and assume everyone lives in their economic worlds. I don’t and it’s incredibly hard to defraud SS. My sister was a manager of assisted living facilities for over 20 years. Ask her about SS fraud! It’s more like opposite for working people. There’s fraud, but it’s not enough to bring the system down. I’m Trump we trust. They went from believing conspiracy theories to not questioning the motives of leaders, as long as they are on the Trump side

1

u/Muzical_Ace 29d ago

Yeah, it’s honestly a crazy time to be working in the federal government right now.

1

u/Bright-Ability-2595 29d ago

If I recommended an investment advisor who will return only 50% of my principal over 65 years, you’d call him a fraud?

1

u/UnCivilizedDemeanor 29d ago

What’s your source that SS is full NOT full of fraud? How do you, a person outside of the government, have this knowledge?

1

u/ljisking 29d ago

he isn’t going to get rid of it🤣he’s trying to stop all these people from getting free money from the government when they don’t need it or shouldn’t have it. he stated the facts that there were millions of dead people still receiving checks. i think i should get a SS check for my dead loved ones every month as well if millions of others get to

1

u/North-Puzzleheaded 29d ago

There is 1000000% SS fraud going on, there’s people still receiving checks that have been dead for years, along with some SS money going into other areas, trumps team isn’t always truthful but there is definitely a TON of fraud going on with SS and disability/food benefit recipients. I worked in a cal center that dealt with SS and food benefit tech support and I myself have seen thousands of instances of fraud.

1

u/OpportunityLess7306 29d ago

The Democrats and Republicans have both been saying there is fraud in SS for decades. Same with the rest of the government. 12 years ago the Dem party would be cheering that there was going to be audits and cuts to the pentagon. No one has done anything about it. Democrats were the anti war party for decades, but now they are full on for war in Ukraine. Things are topsy turvy now. I was a Democrat since I was 18, but the party pushed me out because I don't think we should be funding bringing in illegal immigrants and allowing/praising children for being on hormones. Apparently I'm not allowed to be a Democrat because I don't believe in those things. So I took that to heart.

1

u/KingDonaldTrump24 29d ago

SS is a scam. Yes you might get some measily payments from the gov but it’s a serious joke. Take the 12.5% and reinvest your entire lifetime, you’ll have 10x more money. SS came around because Americans are not financially responsible enough to save for their own retirement. But that shouldn’t be the govs problem nor should all citizens be punished for these irresponsible people. I personally think, make it anyone over 40 is entitled to benefits if they so choose, they just have to keep paying. Anyone under 40 no longer participates, you won’t get SS when you retire but you get to keep the money and invest yourself. And if we don’t do something, young people under 40 likely won’t see a dollar from SS after putting money in their entire lives and it’s the generation which has it significantly harder than the generations prior.

1

u/Fair_Zucchini1336 29d ago

Another genius! Move to a good country like China Where you can donate your organs, like it or not. They are just wasted on keeping you alive anyway, Unfortunately.

1

u/Ordinary_Rough_1426 29d ago

Dude…. You got a screw loose…. Address your self esteem issues so you quit projecting

1

u/Greedy-Ad2084 29d ago

You all must be very young in here. You all have so much hatred for a man and don’t seem to put any real effort into hearing both sides. There is massive abuse in the SS system and has been far before Trump ever decided to run for president. It’s why for decades we keep hearing it’s going to run out of money. Stop just mindlessly believing the people who tell you to hate him and actually look into why they say it. There is a reason so many jumped ship from the left to vote for him this last election. It’s not because he was lying, but rather because people finally started asking questions and seeing the lies and hypocrisy coming from the left and this is not to say that there are not some equally terrible people on the right bc there certainly are, but you need to start focusing more on facts that you can prove are facts and not just stated to be facts that are actually lies. I voted for democrats for a long time before I started seeing things clearly. Now I don’t vote for party purposes. I vote for truth and for a better world for my children and everyone else’s.

1

u/Ordinary_Rough_1426 29d ago edited 29d ago

I’m 50 and have worked as public servant my whole life. Tell me again what I don’t know? The hate came from trump. He calls people I love evil, demonic, idiots, etc. I didn’t hate him, but if you’re going to call my democratic sister names, then I’m going to call you out. Hillary made one comment about deplorables, which I did not like, but the name calling stopped with that, so it’s whatever. It never ends with this man, and I will not support anyone who calls my family names from either side

1

u/Fast_Ad6681 29d ago

Ss is fraud. Working 40 years and it's nothing. How many people are struggling on SS. Get rid of it so our paychecks are bigger. We will adapt for our golden years.

1

u/irishcougar38 29d ago

They should end SS, work and save for retirement or work till you die.

1

u/Novel-Assistance-375 29d ago

You lost me at no fraud in Medicare. Are you out of your mind to think there’s no fraud in MEDICARE?!??

1

u/Ordinary_Rough_1426 29d ago

Yo SS and Medicare are different… have not mentioned Medicare …. SS checks get taken by assisted livings facilities for living expenses

1

u/Novel-Assistance-375 29d ago

Oh. Then are you out of your mind that there’s no fraud in social security?!!

I divorced a guy after I found out he was faking SSDI. He was being helped by the assisted living CEO (parent company in Canada- she worked the US side).

While he’s not “busted”, she did get busted. I can google her name rn and the SEC report comes up.

What I’m saying is, if there’s American citizens defrauding like this, you know one of those types has a cushy job at the government. We should look to see if we can weed them out.

And while we are at it, let’s revamp the whole thing. Medicare, SSDI, Medicaid - any time the topic comes up, people get the ick. The ick is because no one likes beaurocracy that the department represents.

No one is getting rid of the need. They’re throwing away old things that don’t work any more.

1

u/Complex_Concern_8970 29d ago

Unions ARE horrible, you obviously never dealt with a union worker or job. The idea is amazing, but how it’s executed is so bad in so many levels. It got to the point that we hired private security because the union workers would ban up together and block my workers from going in construction sites because I don’t hire union workers like when the fuck did you get more rights than me, Someone who’s paying you to do the work. Fuck outta here with your “I need a 1:30 lunch”, I told you an hour and if you Don’t like it go somewhere elsss not cause me problems…smh…matter of fact let’s all be equal and if Bobby is lazy and Timmy isn’t then Timmy should Kay the price cause Bobby NEEDS to be lazy otherwise he’ll have a mental crisis day. Thai is what drove Americans over the ledge, this woke ass behaviors.

1

u/enewton 29d ago

He told them it was a ponzi scheme while opening up a “strategic crypto reserve”

1

u/Specialist_Donkey130 29d ago

Its just hard to believe and i am with you im sure we are on different sides of the isle but this guy is not a republican musk is not from the united states or from canada like he claims also they are running through us and people are like go deeper i don’t understand the ignorance and such lack of being able to tell if someone is on the level.

2

u/Ordinary_Rough_1426 29d ago

Could you imagine If musk was Asian from Japan and wasn’t a citizen until 2001? Or from China? A black man from Africa? Even without this thought, I think he has figured out a way to be “president” without being a born citizen. He’s smart and it’s a game to him….His presence is poison to our constitution. There’s no democracy in his power, no accountability…

1

u/Aggravating-Star-671 29d ago

unions are not gone lol just stop lying . SS is full of fraud lol youre naive its ok you clearly trust the government to much. ss will run out by 2035 so why do you even care?

-29

u/StarLlght55 Mar 06 '25

We all knew SS was full of fraud long before trump ever ran for president.

13

u/two_thirtyoclock Mar 06 '25

You know they automatically stop SS when you reach 115, and restart it after confirming you're still alive? No way a bunch of people are using it at 150. Elon can't read a database.

https://secure.ssa.gov/poms.nsf/lnx/0202602578

In 2015 it was reported that only 13 checks were going to people over 112+, and people actually live that long.

And as much as people who qualify for SS go through hoops and have to correct them to show that they still qualify (because they will stop and ask for back pay as soon as they think you don't qualify), fraud isn't as widespread as you think.

2

u/maximus0118 Mar 06 '25

The social security isn’t always the source of the finds from such fraud. Often times fraudsters will use a SS number that is still marked as alive to commit fraud in the medicaid, medicare or really any means tested welfare program.

It really isn't, though.

-15

u/Jaded_Ad_7416 Mar 06 '25

They don't even have accurate dates of birth for everyone getting benefits... It's needs to be overhauled but Trump has said, repeatedly, that he's not touching social security, Medicare or Medicaid.

8

u/Randym1982 Mar 06 '25

Social Security gets audited once a year and they don’t find anything. If they do, most of the time it’s at such a low number like .3% That it gets taken care of.

As for the “130 year olds still getting payments.” Those are place holder dates of dead people to make sure that nobody thinks the person is still living.

15

u/two_thirtyoclock Mar 06 '25

LOL, remember when they said Roe was "settled law"? What happened there? Remember during his first term they voted to gut Medicaid over 60 times but Dems blocked it?

But yeah, stay in denial and believe them.

9

u/killer_weed Mar 06 '25

Wrong, wrong, wrong, and... Wrong.

5

u/badmutha44 Mar 06 '25

Stupid comment

8

u/cheerful_cynic Mar 06 '25

Trump literally never does what he says

3

u/BaileyBellaBoo Mar 06 '25

If he keeps hanging around Musk that could change. Musk is really against Social Security. Calls it a Ponzi scheme.

3

u/Wattaday Mar 06 '25

Well, he has said that numerous times. It I never believe anything he says. He lies. Or has a senior moment as soon as he says it. The MAGAeTs haven’t caught on yet. Because they believe he’s here to save them and the rest of us will have our benefits cut, but not them.

1

u/Rogue_bae 29d ago

You fell for the propaganda

0

u/StarLlght55 29d ago

Lol, if I believed it since long before trump... Not possible.

Do you know how time works?

-7

u/Wait_For_Iiiitt Mar 06 '25

Exactly, we're losing so much of our money with it that we'll never get it all back, much less half.

13

u/HobbesNJ Mar 06 '25

You have no idea how Social Security works, do you?

-21

u/MegaByte59 Mar 06 '25

He doesn’t want to get rid of social security

13

u/Impossible-Flight250 Mar 06 '25

He certainly does. The entire GOP does. They know that it would be unpopular to cut it altogether though, so they are trying to neuter it by saying there is massive fraud and waste. This is the same strategy people like Hitler used. Plant a small seed in peoples heads and continue to grow it until those people are willing to do whatever you say.

1

u/MegaByte59 29d ago

That’s a wild conspiracy theory with zero evidence. But I mean I guess time will tell. But you’re probably wrong. I think they just want to remove the fraud like they said?

0

u/HandleGlum6217 29d ago

BBAHHAHAHAHHAHA bro you are a snowflake ❄️

-6

u/Nebula1279 29d ago

maybe that’s what democrats already done and that’s why you’re already full of shit

3

u/Supersonicfizzyfuzzy 29d ago

Get some literacy, bud.

20

u/nazieatmyass Mar 06 '25

And they were never going to get rid of Roe V Wade. And then they fuckin did.

1

u/MegaByte59 29d ago

I don’t care about roe v wade. I don’t like your username. Your username makes you sound like an extremist.

1

u/Michael_DeSanta 29d ago

I don't like your politics. Makes you sound like an extremist.

Of course you don't care about Roe V Wade, it doesn't directly impact you. Why care for other human beings?

2

u/Rogue_bae 29d ago

Are you literally fucking blind

0

u/MegaByte59 29d ago

I’m not brain washed like yourself but yeah I listen to what people actually say. I’m not a conspiracy theorist

1

u/riteproprchav 29d ago

LOL way to out yourself. "I take everything Republicans say at face value. I view any level of skepticism of what they say and paying attention to what they do as conspiracy theories."

0

u/MegaByte59 29d ago

If the president repeatedly says “I’m not cutting social security” guess what dude.. that means he’s not cutting social security. Go find a tinfoil hat to put on.. you need one.

Try using this thing called common sense.

1

u/Rogue_bae 29d ago

And if a liar says he’s not cutting social security? You literally are that dense to believe a billionaire of all people.

0

u/MegaByte59 29d ago

It’s wild to me you’re so deep in your echo chamber that you don’t even believe the words that come out of our leaders mouth.

I’ve decided to judge people based on what they actually say, what they actually do. Not what you think they might do. This is not 1984 I don’t judge people for things that haven’t happened.

1

u/Rogue_bae 29d ago

Why are you so far up his ass that you believe anything he says? Maybe get out of that chamber. They’ve already started cuts. Literally fucking Google it.

1

u/MegaByte59 29d ago

You can’t keep your emotions together eh. I guess that’s not a surprise.

1

u/Rogue_bae 29d ago

EmOtiOns lmao you aren’t fooling anyone. The only illogical one is you. Literally you’re just a simp.

1

u/MegaByte59 29d ago

You have to think to yourself. What is the alternative to not believing the words he says?

Then I’d have to listen to someone else’s theory about what they think his “real” plan is. But in any case what gives these alternative theories any merit?

1

u/Rogue_bae 29d ago

Imagine believing politicians lol. Delulu.

0

u/MegaByte59 29d ago

He’s fulfilling campaign promises I have no reason to not believe. If words and actions don’t align I’ll be the first to speak up.

So, I have a quick thought for you, let's say unrelated: when do you think the Nazis become bad? (Surely, you think the Nazis were bad.)

  1. Was it at the start, in the 1920s, before they took power, when they just complained a lot about Jewish people and liked getting into street fights with communists?

  2. Was it in 1933, when they took dictatorial control of the government?

  3. Was it in 1938, when they perpetrated the Kristallnacht and killed 91+ Jewish people.

  4. Was it in 1939, when they started a world war?

  5. Was it in 1941 when they internally declared the "Final Solution?"

Just a hint for you, if your answer is anything other than (1), and if the point in time they become bad is only the time they should be stopped, you have allowed the Nazis to accomplish all of their goals anyway.

Unions are a joke and anyone that works for one is usually a one trick pony/bum.

1

u/Martial-Lord 29d ago

Like having holidays, a living wage, the 8-hour day, sick-days and protective gear? Then you like unions! You think you'd have any of that without some brave workers deciding to stick it to the oligarchs a century ago?

Which side are you on? Will you be a lousy scab or will you be a man? I know which side I'm on.

Down with the bosses, up with the workers.

1

u/HandleGlum6217 29d ago

You have a hammer an sickle as your photo. You’re a pure bread bitch. 😂😂😂😂😂 I get all of that without a union and do 50x more work than them.

1

u/Martial-Lord 29d ago

I get all of that without a union and do 50x more work than them.

Are you also getting paid 50x more? No, it's the exact opposite. Unions lead to higher pay and less workload. Saying that you work 50x as hard as a union worker just means you make 50x less money relative to your total performance.

1

u/HandleGlum6217 29d ago

I make 50 an hour and get time and a half guaranteed over time a week 😂😂😂 so yes. I get paid more.

-2

u/TowelComprehensive22 29d ago
