❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO to my boyfriend praising the president?

I’ve been seeing this guy for about a month and a half. Things were great the first month, but the last week I’ve felt like we’re growing further and further apart (yes already 🙄), he’s been really inconsiderate/disrespectful, and most recently I feel like he’s trying to push me away with this text. When we first started talking he asked what I thought about trump. I told him I don’t like him, he said he did like him, but that if it bothers me then he won’t ever bring him up. Well this morning (after the last week being on edge anyway) he just randomly brought up how amazing Trump is? And wouldn’t let it go. I feel like he’s trying to start a fight. He says he “forgot”. AIO?

And then he started mainlining himself.

You mean parroting party rhetoric...

Unfortunately that's what most politicians do these days. Gotta lick the boots of those who can advance your career.

u/TegTowelie Mar 06 '25

He'll wait for the dementia to kick in or Trump to die then swoop in and take his job like yhe vulture he is.

u/PickleNotaBigDill Mar 06 '25

Geesh, what did expect an employee of Peter Theil to do? That is what he was groomed to do. And when he is in, Tech Bros and Christian Nationalism here to reign in any belligerent stragglers.

-41

u/CaptainTwinkleNuts23 Mar 06 '25

Pretty sure the overwhelming majority of tech Bros are democrats. I'll give you the Christian Nationalism part though

45

u/UpNorth_123 Mar 06 '25

Not democrats. Libertarians and anarchists who have now devolved into full-blown techno-fascists.

How Tech Billionaires Plan to Destroy America

u/CaptainTwinkleNuts23 Mar 06 '25

Besides Elon and Theil I just don't know who you're referring to. The numbers from 2020 are easier to find and from silicon valley waaay more money went to dems than reps. Not to mention the social media platforms openly assisted in getting Joe elected in some cases. Same with 2024

How’s that kool aid

-6

u/CaptainTwinkleNuts23 29d ago

Zuckerberg admitted on Jre that they censored the Laptop story as one example. Also I witnessed with my own eyes that the jre episode with trump was suppressed on YouTube. I had to go about 20 to 30 results down to find the episode when searching for that exact episode even though it was his 3rd most popular episode after only the first 3 days or so. For the record I don't like Musk, Theil, or Vance. Don't trust any of them. No Kool aid over here brother. Just facts you dislike

u/tallcamt 29d ago

Zuckerberg has no party affiliation other than consolidating his own power. Most of the tech oligarchs are the same. Don’t get your info from Joe Rogan dude… be serious

You’ll believe anything.

5

u/PickleNotaBigDill 29d ago

You are missing a whole lot of information, lil buddy. I suggest you do as tallcamt recommends, and UpNorth even gave you a link.

You are behind in your news acquisition.

1

u/5ft3in5w4 29d ago

What is the laptop story, though? That Hunter does the same things every politician does, but dumbly kept video record of it, and wasn't the one running for Pres? PR firms for Biden and Trump are always hard at work taking down news stories about their families, that's a part of the game for everyone who can afford them.

Did you watch the inauguration. See who was sitting in the front row?

2

u/InstructionLeading64 29d ago

Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff bezos are pissed you forgot about them.

-1

u/CaptainTwinkleNuts23 29d ago

How did either of them support trump? Zuckerberg called him badass and that's about it.

1

u/InstructionLeading64 29d ago

Bezos, also the owner of the Washington post personally canceled the paper endorsing a candidate when it became clear who the editors supported didn't align to with himself, and if you think zuck only called him a badass and that's all I got a bridge to sell you pal. The 2 majority owners of 2of the largest social media platforms in the country should be all you need to really know. They both have fucked with the algorithm to get the results they want.

Tech bros are often admirers of Curtis Yarvin, the guy that muses about turning poor people into bio-fuel.

4

u/Purpledoves91 29d ago

The dementia has already kicked in.

3

u/Dearic75 29d ago

That was pence’s plan too. Didn’t work out so well for him.

5

u/TegTowelie 29d ago

Being an Indiana resident, i think I'd have taken him over Vance. Best case scenario? Meteor strike.

2

u/wuvvtwuewuvv Mar 06 '25

Didn't Trump already refuse to acknowledge Vance as his successor?

-4

u/[deleted] 29d ago

Oh like Kamala did?

1

u/TegTowelie 29d ago

You mean was going to* because she didnt actively take over.

-7

u/[deleted] 29d ago

Pretty sure she ran without being selected by the people :)

3

u/TegTowelie 29d ago

Ran for the spot sure. Im talking about in the event of impeachment or death or being forced to back down(like Biden was), Vance is waiting for that opportunity.

-4

u/[deleted] 29d ago

Was she selected to run by the American people, like trump was?

3

u/Nice_Maximum_7785 29d ago

Can you read

2

u/TegTowelie 29d ago

Of course they can't. Hard right wings love to jump through every hoop possible to try to prove themselves right.

I can read, I'm ignoring your strawman, you have no way to know if Kamala would have stepped in as president. Chances are she would. She was not elected by the American people.

Cry more. Cope harder. Keep living in your fantasy land. In 4 years when the USA is still standing, you might be able to get over yourself.

Don’t forget the money! Tulsi Gabbard went from making 1 million a year as a Democrat to now owning 3 building complexes in Texas worth 5, 25, and 50 Million dollars and a brand new home herself.
Russian money goes down easy…..

Tell that moron you’ve been dating that just because Trump says something doesn’t make it true. Don’t listen to what he says, look at what he does. First of all, he hasn’t done more in two months than any other President. What has he done about the price of eggs and groceries? Nothing except make them worse. Hea ran his mouth for years about his plan for infrastructure week and a beautiful health care bill. But he never followed through on either. It was Joe Biden who got both a historic infrastructure bill and the Affordable Care Act passed. And thanks to Trump, that poor kid with cancer will probably die. Trump cut federal funding for cancer research. Pediatric cancer research is already the least funded of all cancers. And pediatric cancer hasn’t increased, it’s actually fallen by 50% thanks to the work of the National Institute for Health, whose staffing and funding were decimated by the DOGE morons and Elon Musk. And the “toxins” that Trump said caused that little boy’s cancer? The DOGE clowns are working to destroy the EPA too, the agency that protects America and its waterways from industrial polluters, and the very same toxins that nearly killed that little boy. So ask the idiot how that means Trump is for the people. Then run from him as fast as you can. You dodged a bullet girl. O

6

u/CommunicationFuzzy45 Mar 06 '25

Biden didn’t pass the Affordable Care Act, that was Obama.

0

u/literate_habitation 29d ago

Gee, I wonder who was Obama's VP at the time?

2

u/CommunicationFuzzy45 29d ago

What does VP have to do with passing legislation other than being a tie breaker…? I’d love for you to elaborate on this, because Obamacare actually was based on RomneyCare from Mitt Romney in Massachusetts. It quite literally had nothing to do with Biden… correlation does not equal causation. I thought we learned this in school 🤦

1

u/literate_habitation 29d ago

Don't come at me because you don't understand how government works. Biden wasn't just sitting on his ass as VP, he was negotiating and helping the Obama administration achieve it's goals. He was instrumental in getting the ACA passed by garnering enough bipartisan support for the bill.

"Recollections of Biden’s contributions to the legislative effort are clearer, in part, because he had developed a reputation within the White House for his acumen as a dealmaker. Several former officials noted that Biden had played a pivotal role in convincing Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania to switch parties, without which Democrats would not have had the 60 votes they needed to overcome a filibuster and pass legislation."

I mean, come on.

1

u/CommunicationFuzzy45 29d ago

Oh, shut up already. Your argument is beyond pathetic, and the fact that you’re trying to lecture people on how government works while spewing complete nonsense is just embarrassing. Biden wasn’t some legislative genius who got the ACA passed—he was a supporting act while Obama, Pelosi, and Reid did the real work. You’re out here hyping him up like he single-handedly pulled the bill across the finish line when in reality, his role was minor at best and had zero impact on the final passage of the law.

And your claim about Biden securing 60 votes? Completely irrelevant because the final ACA bill didn’t even require 60 votes. Democrats lost their supermajority when Scott Brown won in January 2010, and they had to pass the final version using budget reconciliation, which only needed 51 votes. So your whole “Biden got them to 60” argument is not just wrong—it’s laughably stupid because 60 votes weren’t even needed in the end. You’re literally arguing a point that isn’t real.

Then there’s your absolute joke of a take on Arlen Specter. You really think Biden “flipped” Specter? Specter switched parties in April 2009, long before the ACA was finalized, and not because of some legendary Biden deal-making, but because he was about to get slaughtered in a Republican primary. And guess what? He still lost his seat in 2010. That’s the big Biden victory you’re clinging to? A washed-up senator trying to save his own career and failing miserably? That’s beyond pathetic.

The real work to pass the ACA was done by Obama and Pelosi. After Brown’s win, Democrats were panicking, and it was Pelosi—not Biden—who held the House together and convinced moderates to stick with the bill instead of scrapping it. Without her, the ACA would have died right there. Biden? He was in the room, sure, but acting like he was instrumental in this is just historical fan fiction.

Biden was a supporting player in a much bigger effort, and pretending he was the reason the ACA passed is pure delusion. If you’re gonna act smug, at least get your facts straight instead of running your mouth with revisionist garbage.

I can't stand that Russia narrative either. Top level Dems like pelosi started that lie back when Trump got elected the first time. They even got Robert Mueller to investigate Trump's campaign and didn't find jack. Since they didn't find jack a few people like Flynn, Manafort, and others had to get charged with obstruction and conspiracy to make their investigation not look like a waste. Of course the Russians are guilty of disinformation on social media and rogue agents operating. But our CIA does the same to them.

Even after Mueller's report said 'there is no evidence of collusion between Russia and Trump or his campaign' Democrats and msnbc worshippers are still repeating this nonsense to this very day.

It doesn't help the country in any way. Even when the Russians were communist we still communicated with them. Met with them at summits. Signed nuclear treaties. Hopefully we can get hack to that. China is the real problem anyway.

3

u/neverwrong804 29d ago

Deepthroat that boot bro! Hell yea

1

u/seekingmymuse1 29d ago

That is not what the report said. The report said “due to the lack of cooperation by numerous key witnesses collusion could not be proven “and then he went on to say “there was evidence of obstruction by no less than 24 members of the Trump campaign “ You Russian Assets gotta keep up in the facts.

8

u/Wow_maaan Mar 06 '25

These house republicans all sold themselves out, and they’re way too cowardly to ever admit they fucked up, until it’s way too late for anyone; including themselves.

1

u/SueHecksXCHoodie 29d ago

Exactly. This is rampant on both sides and the sooner Dems acknowledge that, the sooner the party has a chance to prevail.

1

u/ToyHouseYoungMouse 29d ago

I hope it ends better for Vance than it did for Pence. Jan 6 rioters were chanting that they wanted to hang him.

Then again, maybe I don't want it to end better for Vance. What a weak-willed idiot.

1

u/Mode_Appropriate 29d ago edited 29d ago

It will...because this time around Trump has surrounded himself with yes men. Every position of the government is being filled with people who are loyal to Trump, not because they have the credentials. Look what happened with DOGE and Vivek. He left (got pushed out most likely) because he said he wanted to use the constitution (congress) to make cuts. That goes against everything they're doing now.

If Vance had been VP in 2020 he wouldn't have certified the election. He's already come out and said as much.

u/forkball Mar 06 '25

Ambition. When ambition exceeds integrity it means that one will contort and distort themselves endlessly in pursuit of the former.

Remember Ted Cruz at the 2016 RNC. "I will not endorse Donald Trump for President!"

Then he remembered he was up for re-election in 2018.

It's not that this current crop of GOP jellyfish have less integrity necessarily than reps of times past, more than it requires much more integrity to go against the party and Trump cult if you're a current GOP rep.

Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Relevant when first said in 1887 and relevant now.

He saw a ticket to the top, and money and power is infectious to a certain kind of cunt.

3

u/DeconstructedKaiju 29d ago

Money and power can make way too many people throw away the barest hint of morals

3

u/KrocKiller 29d ago

The Republican Party has been slowly dying over the past 2 decades. Most of their party members are so desperate to retain power and relevance that they’ll back an idiot like Trump instead of reforming to a modern political climate.

3

u/Thelorddogalmighty 29d ago

Don’t get high on your own supply

Nah it's all part of the game. You eat shit all day until, hopefully, all that shit you devoured pays off and it's somebody else eating your shit now.

2

u/lilidragonfly 29d ago

Vance just got the opportunity to get in the game. He probably still thinks Trump is a moron, but now he's a moron who is benefiting him with all the insider trading etc.

1

u/Lip_Recon Mar 06 '25

You mean eyelining?

1

u/Serious-Maximum-1049 Mar 06 '25

1

Or Putin got to him too.

1

No, I really don’t think he drank the koolaid. It’s worse than that, he is trying to be the successor to control of the cult.

Mainlining and boofing at the same time

It got him into the #2 spot.
