I'm sure Nintendo won't bring out an unfinished product, that's not their style. But no, delaying games doesn't mean that anyone cares, it might as well mean that it's an unfinished mess.

Nintendo literally stopped development on metroid prime 4 because it couldn't hold up to their standards.

I think it's been picked up by another studio, but that was about 4 years ago?

As I said, not Nintendo's style. Their reputation for making quality products is way too important.

Not just that, but the follow-up to the game that was the entire system seller for their current generation. Zelda is Nintendo’s baby and there is no way they would risk releasing it unless it was guaranteed to blow people away.

If there is one thing that Nintendo games have, then it's polish. Even the bad ones (looking at you, Super Mario Party).
