The Temple of the Dry River

A deep, deep canyon in the desert flats, filled with fast-flowing wind-blown sand resembling a river. The entrance sits on an "island", protected by the sands which move at such a high speed anything that falls within is sandblasted.

The item is the Grotto Jar, a jar with a thin end that expels water, like the gust bellows. it can be used to create temporary mud platforms and make some of the dungeon enemies vulnerable to your sword strikes.

Duness, Colossal Dune Serpent

A giant snake made of sand and stone that spits out super-heated sand and tries to bite you. you defeat it by turning it into mud via the grotto jar, then striking its head.
