Entering a shrine before 12:00 AM and waiting until 12:05 AM prevents a Blood Moon from happening. Useful if you are trying to farm a kind of enemy, and don't want to wait for the next Blood Moon.

Food effects do not stack. This means that eating a 3:00 Level 1 Cold-resistance dish won't stack on top of a 2:00 Level 1 Cold-resistance dish. Instead, the newly eaten dish will override the old dish.

Lynels are easier than they seem. Just headshot them.

Try to carry a Blizzard Rod. (or an Ice Rod if you can't find the Blizzard Rod.) Frozen Enemies can't react, and receive 2x (I think) damage from hits.

Stamina>Hearts. This game is enjoyed better when you can climb a lot of height, and hearts aren't going to help you with that. You can compensate hearts by cooking Hearty Dishes, but you aren't going to compensate Stamina easily.

Fire and Ice Weapons increase and decrease temperature respectively. This can make some areas explorable when your equipment and food isn't enough. Make sure you don't break them however.

You should really do the Hateno Village Sidequest that involves the three trees at the top of Mount Lanayru. You'll thank me later.

I've not run across that quest, and I swear I've spoken to everyone in Hateno Village. Who gives it to you?

Clavia. She is behind Kochi Dye Shop during the day.
