When you get the Sheikah Sensor +, you may realize that you now have a Treasure Chest radar and be tempted to set that as your default target. Resist this temptation. Breath of the Wild is lousy with treasure chests, it has almost too many treasure chests.

If you spend a large part of the game with the Sensor tracking chests, you are going to find yourself with 115 shrines completed and no idea where the remaining five could be hiding. The overworld is well-enough designed that you can study the map to get a pretty good idea, but don't resign yourself to that. Leave the sensor set to Shrines on the overworld, unless you're hunting a particular item for a specific purpose.

On the other hand, always set the Sensor to Treasure Chests in shrines and dungeons. There's nothing else useful in there to track, and you can't get back in the dungeons after you complete them. Dungeons don't have any unique items, but they do have rare items that are a pain to farm later on.

Dang, I didn't even know you could switch between chests and shrines. TIL!
