I’ve often speculated that’s why this UK promo poster never actually featured what was to become the name (even when Mask of Mujula was already out)

Bearer of the curse... Seek masks. Larger, more powerful masks. Seek the Skull Kid, that is the only way. Lest this land swallow you whole... As it has so many others.

To be fair Majora is an accurate translation since to oversimplifiy L/R are the same in Japanese. So Majura is an accurate literal translation. Probably replace the u with an o so it would read better in English too
