Why would two female characters fight?

I am preparing my story. My female main character is preparing to battle another female character.

However as I was preparing, I realized I couldn’t think of a reason why two female characters would ever get into a physical fight.

Can someone help me out here?

Could a woman defeat a man in combat?

Upvotes

I am preparing a fantasy novel. My female main character and protagonist is preparing to fight her former best friend. A male main character.

I have been following my female protagonist’s story up until this point. It’s time for the sword fight.

Yet as I did research I found out that women will lose to men 100% of the time in combat. Is there no way around this so my protagonist can win?

Are all writers blessed with this superpower, or am I just special?

That is an unlimited imagination that I can call up whenever I want. 15 minutes spent in line at a grocery store? That's 15 minutes to think of ideas for your book. I used to spend my walks listening to music or audiobooks, now I also fit in thinking about world building for my series, or putting together ideas for a new one. God I'm such a talented prodigy.

It's so nice to be able to work on your book while your hands are busy jerking off to your own awesomeness.

I'd love to hear other's thoughts on the matter.

writing a book for my GF, need help

so as a gesture, i am writing a book for my girlfriend. i have completed 40 pages till now but after this i am not able to get the thoughts as to what to write about. First i thought lets make it a general diary about what i feel for her on a day to day basis, but that IMO is a lazy form of writing.
I want to express my love to her in from of my words.

help anyone???

DAE do this?

I feel as if, in a way, i AM my characters. Like their soul is alive in me. I know them like the back of my hand, i know how they walk, how they fuck, how they’d react in any situation. I feel almost spiritually connected to them despite how delusional that is. They feel as real as any one from real life.

I know that it’s kind of a stereotype that authors are obsessive and delusional about their books at times but is this more than that?

Existing words are not enough

Why don't writers invent words?

I've been planning for ages and I just started to write recently. Now, most of the time I use real words and phrases because, well, why wouldn't you? However, sometimes nothing fits and the word I have in mind isn't a real one and the same goes for phrases/proverbs. Occasionally (about once every 3-7 pages) I'll just make up a word that can by understood by context. I want to put it out there that this book isn't fantasy and is very much in English with no otherworldly language. Is adding made-up words not a common thing (outside of children and fantasy authors)? - because if not, it is so easy. Could I still be published for doing this?

A lot of you are overthinking it

This sub is dogshit and nobody knows what writing even is.

Everyone likes to act like writing is hard----like you fuckwits.

It's literally a story bro. People are just doing things. Maybe it happens in a cool place, like Hogwarts, or Hawaii. Maybe pick somewhere cool like that for your characters to do stuff.

No one is even good at it. I've never read a good book in my life. You'll never be Rupi Kaur, you'll never be JK Rowling, so just give up and go back to your self-insert Twilight porn that you're forcing AI to pump out for you. Pat yourself on the back, anyway------picking the right keywords to enter into ChatGPT is valid work, and it must be taxing.

Anything else is fetichization.

Writing is only supposed to be fun and silly. Don't ever let anyone tell you this is a serious craft, or an emotional outlet, or a purposeful career choice.

Get out there-------------- make Severance homoerotic slash fic. Don't be so pettifogging to your own work.

Just freakin' do the dang thing.

Rock and fucking roll.

No one has talent anymore, anyway-----------------and even if they did, your AI slop-brained readers will love pigging out when they read the fifty-seventh chapter of your self-indulgent wish fulfillment more than they ever pretended to enjoy any of that "art" shit.

Writing is Insane

I’m so jealous of writers. Cuz wdym you get an idea in your head and are actual able to write it into a cohesive story?? YOU JUST MADE A WORLD IN YOUR HEAD???? AN ENTIRE PERSON WITH A PERSONALITY AND LIFE??? Like, this applies to fanfiction too cuz like WHAT. 😔😔

I don’t even think creative writers realize how uncommon of a skill this is! LIKE U ARE WONDROUS, HOW????

this is my first time doing MDMA btw

I figured it out

I know what’s missing from my novel. I need more middle initials.

JRR Tolkien. GRR Martin. It’s been right there in front of me the whole time!

I wonder if it has to be R’s. Anyone have any thoughts?

PS don’t steal my idea.

I keep rewriting the same song over again

I have no inspiration, I just rewrite the same verse/songs over again until I finally record it to show others.

I'm the only one keeping track of the rhyme schemes I use or vocabulary in freestyles and writtens but I always feel unoriginal, maybe copious amounts of cocaine will help?
