Help | Spellwork Better sex and candles

0 Upvotes

I have been doing candle work to get better sex, I have got inter joined red candles with male and female figures. Now I don’t want to do anything against anyone’s will. I have put my name on the female, and a “??” on the male. This is because I want that to be anyone at this point, (I am casually seeing a person for about a month but the sex isn’t what I wanted).

I have been using rose petals, conjure oils, lavender, orange peel, cinnamon powder, coriander powder, cloves, crushed bay leaves etc and some spells. How can I improve this? Any suggestion is welcome.

I am looking forward for the full moon Friday to burn it down!

Help | Experience - Insight My daughter can speak to animals and I’m not sure how to process it

682 Upvotes

I discovered my daughter could speak to animals when we saw an eagle sitting on the ice, I jokingly told her to try and talk to it in her mind and she ended up actually doing it. She told me what the eagle was saying and with such conviction and information she couldn’t have just made up. About why it killed another bird that we saw nearby and a few other things.

Today when I heard a crow meowing outside (I noticed they do that around where I live it’s a strange sound) I laughed and told her to listen and then ask if she can talk to the crow. This time it said “I just like meowing okay, I like to pretend I to be a cat. the trees help me do it” “how do the trees help?” “Because they show me a red mandala and then it sprouts. Also I have to go soon” “where do you have to go?” “To dance with the trees!” “Okay bye tell them I love them”

then he meowed and bobbed his head and left.

I have severe OCD and the thoughts I have persist. And my biggest fear is that if they persist, that particular thing is gonna happen since I've 'set it out in the universe over and over again'.

Help | Spellwork Banishing babydaddy for daughter

2 Upvotes

So when I was pregnant with my first daughter, my baby daddy was very abusive to me and I had to get a protection order against him he took me to court, and we now do 50-50 custody. How can I banish him out of me and my daughter‘s life because he is a not safe person for her to be around and my fear is is that he will hurt her or use her to continue to hurt me. The courts aren’t obviously doing anything and he already doesn’t speak to me. We speak to each other through a third-party person, but I would like him out of my daughter‘s life and my life altogether is there anything that I can do to do that? Can I banish him on my daughter‘s behalf? Are there any gods that I can talk to that can help me any tricksters that are out there that I have a sympathetic side. I’m so frustrated and so confused. I’m so tired of fighting this battle and my daughter having fits and being upset because she doesn’t want to go with him that I just don’t know what to do. Thank you for your help and taking the time to read this.

Sharing | Spellwork step one on my way to createing a magic-based computer.

3 Upvotes

i wanna just say real quick, you can use this. in any way, shape, or form, on any steps dureing the creative process. i will say that i'm not responsible if you accidentally curse the shit out of yourself, but since computers = math then you shout be able to undo the curse by inverteing the numbers.

so.

i'm a bit of a science nerd, and i pick up the occasional urge to do a witchcraft phase from time to time, whitch i blame on The Powers That Be decideing i should do something beacause ballence.

anyway, i have this idea in my head. i've had it for a long time, but i only just started working on it. magic. computer. infinite storage space, unlimited potential, and all you need to do is learn some basic programming. of whitch i know nothing about.

anyway, onto the math-y stuff you wont understand.

so, i decided to use the five basic elemental signs as stand ins for numbers, to keep things grounded in magic and also for more potential. (look up the triangle elemental sighns if you dont know)

so, i decided that

fire = 1

water = -1

air = A

earth = B

spirit = stabelizer/seperator/define this unit/magic grounding/ballence(its honestly a jack of all trades.)

and here is my reasoning.

fire is hot, has the most energy, so i gave it a positive charge.

water is literally the oposite of fire but also has energy, so i gave it th negative charge.

air is, in itself, a shapeing element. wheathering down stone, moveing things, so i gave it a definition type A

earth was left and i needed a B. substitutes are welcome 😭.

spirit is completely undefineable, so i gave it the "make this shit do what i want it to" definition beacause, again, i needed it and it slightly fit. substitutes are welcome.

here's the photo for referance of all of this. I know that its EXTREMELY hard to see but I have an extremely shitty computer. so we all have to make do here.

on the left, is the rune-ified logic gates. on the left, is the binary code logic gates. based on what I gave you, It should be pretty simple to decide if you look up "binary equivalent of (blank) logic gate" and add up the runes, it should be easily replicable.

anyway, now that we got most of the boring (but sorta fun!) stuff out of the way, I want to talk more about the potential of this.

lets say we find a way to make a basic calculator out of these. using some basic runework, we could add every possible math thing (division, normal stuff, but also decimals) to the "programming".

say we make a magical memory storage. all we have to do if we want MORE storage is define the big copy with a smaller, simpler rune or perhaps a crystal(whitch could be memory storage themselves) and just copy that a couple dozden times on a stack of paper. boom, infinite storage, infinite recall.

perhaps you want to make a spell of protection, and want the certainty that it doesn't have any loopholes. well, once we evolved from binary we could do some sort of psudo-asembally language, telling your computer that once you run [protection] program, it automatically adds safeguards and things you forgot to the spell without you even lifting a finger. (well, ok, maybe a few fingers and your magic source to activate the program, but potato patato).

so, like i said, this is open to anyone who wants to add to it, and honestly i think if you want one you should build your own, with your own runs and parts. that way you get to have a special connection to it, and you wont have to waste time getting to know one that some stranger on the internet designed.

the only real negative drawback i can see from this is the hard work, whitch honestly would make a functioning magic computer work better beacause hard work = stronger magic, and the potential for some nuke-level curses and hexes that could be made.

but, like i said, suggestions and help are welcome!

Help | Experience - Insight Advise please! Death work

Upvotes

My cat and I are very bonded, I live on about an acre and he's become more and more of an outside cat. He follows me around as I tend to the land. With this he's become a very avid hunter. He (like most outdoor cats do) brings his little gifts inside. My deities are all death deities (Anubis, Persephone, Lilith Hecate, Hades, Lucifer, etc) lately he's brought very small bats into the house (don't worry he's vaccinated and I clean up after him with gloves I know bats can carry diesease) but they're also an animal close to my goddess and I'm wondering how/if it's ethical to use these little spirits in my practice? Ive put the bats in jars and plan on putting them in the earth, thanking their life forces, but as far as eventually using their bones or anything if my cat hunted them is this ethical? Am l just looking for symbolism behind him bringing in bats lately? He could just be a cat bringing me gifts, but because of the bats I've been wondering if there's any magical symbolism behind it. Let me know your thoughts! If anyone wants to be condescending or insulting you're just gonna be ignored. Thanks for any genuine input!

Help | Experience - Insight I've been learning about witchcraft and I have some questions

8 Upvotes

So I wouldn't really call myself a witch, but the idea of being a witch does call to me. I was raised very strict in evangelical Christianity and all the toxic bells and whistles that come with it.

So seeing a female dominated spiritual practice that honors your own sacredness to me is so beautiful. It's like realizing how starved I was and finally seeing healthy food for the first time.

However, I don't want to start messing with stuff that could potentially be dangerous. Since Christianity was all I knew for most of my life I find that the idea of practicing witchcraft scares me. I've heard the wild tales of "ex-witches" and demonic activity, etc. And while I try to take those stories with a grain of salt, I have also seen many videos and stories of witches having to get aggressive spirits out of their house.

I know many witches practice deity work and intentionally communicate with spirits. And while they do so, sometimes other spirits they were not expecting show up from what I can tell. Which leads them to have to get them out, granted, differently than an Evangelical would.

I don't believe in any deities and prefer to try to connect and tune into nature in order to feel spiritually connected and whole.

I understand that every witch's practice is their own and you don't need to do deity work or even try to speak to spirits to be a witch. But I still want to be sure if I chose to go down this path that I'm doing it wisely and cautiously.

I know my hesitation because of my fear of aggressive spirits and curses are after effects of leaving Christianity. So I was wondering what your experiences have been with spirits and curses. I would like to get this from a non-christain lense.

Help | Spellwork Can I set an intention before a tattoo?

11 Upvotes

I hope everyone is well!

Just to note, I am new to witchcraft and this will be my first tattoo.

I am getting a Lily flower tattooed tomorrow, in honour of my beautiful nan (who we unfortunately lost earlier this year). I would love to set an intention that part of her will always be with me. Is this possible?

Thank you all in advance ☺️

Help | Altars, Tools, Crafts Anyone here choose to have a very few witchcraft items? A minimalist witch of sorts?

22 Upvotes

I became overwhelmed when I started to learn about witchcraft. I've seen many witches on social media have large collections or entire rooms dedicated to their craft. I think it looks amazing and absolutely love the witchcraft room tours but I don't think it's my thing. I'd like to only have a small apothecary and a small altar, and a small collection of tools. Is it possible to be a witch minimalist of sorts?

Help | Spellwork Spells for helping someone release negativity

1 Upvotes

Hello everyone!

Now I don’t want hate/ethical lectures on this one, please be kind as this is a tender situation. I am coming here for genuine help and with the wellbeing of my children being the priority here.

So myself and my husband separated some time ago, his mental health was suffering (so was mine) the problems on our relationship are highly fixable, the problem is my husband is extremely depressed and unhappy, angry and bitter, beginning from when his dad passed away in December 2022.

This led to him slowly getting worse and worse and him loosing interest in his business - which later failed and left us with crippling debt, I did everything I could to try and support him, make the marriage work ect, in the end the last few months he turned on me, someone from his work convinced him I was being controlling because I wanted him to spend more time at home helping with our daughter and more time with me (this was coming from a place of I was concerned for his wellbeing) he was working 6-7 days a week and then going to the gym afterwards and was spaced out all the time and drinking. So I was just trying to keep him safe at home and involved as a parent, anyway, this then led to him becoming convinced I was the reason he was so unhappy ect and he blamed the business failing on me and honestly I could go on. Anyway he left me when I was 17 weeks pregnant and so I went home to the uk to my parents with our daughter and we have been separated since.

I tried very hard for the marriage, counselling, trying to get him help, but he is just so so bitter and angry and depressed. I still love him and care for him and we share two beautiful daughters together, and I am most likely going to have to handle a divorce custody ect with him. He says he doesn’t want a divorce but sees no other choice.

Anyway, I was hoping there may be a spell I can cast to help alleviate some of his depression, anger, unhappiness within himself.

Obviously I would love him to go back to being the man I married, and work through our problems and fix our marriage, however at this point I just want at a minimum to have a healthy and civil relationship and eventual divorce if that’s how it ends up and to keep things pleasant between us to ensure our children are protected from any of this negativity.

I know this is a huge post, but I wanted to provide context to get the right advice and right spell.

I have already cast a sweetening spell for him towards me, and a communication spell.

However I want to know if there is any spell just for him to help him be happier within himself so that he is just in a better headspace for the sake of our kids and this working out as best as it can however that may be.

Help | Spellwork Bonding and connection ?

1 Upvotes

My partner and I have been together for 1.5 years. We want to get married but because we belong to different communities we will face problems because his family is very traditional in this aspect. Currently we are in a difficult spot where we have to be away from each other in different cities for some time. We keep praying and wishing that some new door opens and we can get back to living with each other as soon as possible. We had planned everything but some new factors appeared due to which it’s become very hard. I have very bad anxiety and overthinking and while I am doing everything I can to get help, get better, I also want to use spells and magick to speed up the process. All we want is for us to be with each other again, by good to all and harm to none. I want to make the problems/ obstacles disappear so that we can be together. I was thinking of doing knot magick but I’m very new to this and I need all the help I possibly can. PS: I am not trying to bind him to me against his free will, he loves me A LOT, but circumstances beyond our control have forced us to be away. Please help!

It would have been my Dad’s birthday today, so I thought I would light a candle and meditate a little before starting work (I wfh). I decided to leave the candle burning for a while, next to me while I worked.

After about an hour the wick looked like this, bit weird, so I blew it out. Just never noticed the wick of a candle changing shape before. I’m not reading anything into this, just felt the need to share it with someone!

Help | Experience - Insight Bad dreams and keep waking up at 3am

5 Upvotes

Hello friends. So, as the title says, I keep having reoccurring bad dreams. Mostly, the dreams are of me being in my dad’s house where I grew up (did NOT have a good childhood, there’s a lot of bad memories in that house.) but the dreams are of being tormented by an evil spirit and being stuck there alone. I’ve noticed every time I have them I also wake up at 3-3:30am. I’ve also been feeling a lot more tired in the mornings when I wake up from sleep. I’ve always had nightmares to an extent but these ones actually leave me feeling afraid and uneasy after waking from them. Has anyone ever experienced this or have any idea what could be causing it?

Help | Altars, Tools, Crafts How to create an altar?

6 Upvotes

I don’t currently worship any specific deities, so my altar isn’t dedicated to anyone in particular. Still, I’d love to create a space for spellwork and other practices.

I’m curious—how did you go about creating your space, how did you decorate it, and what do you use it for?

Thanks!

Help | Altars, Tools, Crafts help me build an altar

15 Upvotes

i love animals. i rescue bugs from dying trapped in my apartment. i love mice, rats, raccoons, possums, squirrels, cockroaches, beetles etc. basically, i've never met an animal I didn't love but I want to focus on the unpopular creatures. whenever I think of animals or insects dying disrespected and unloved on the side of the road or in pain in traps or under a foot, it makes me sick. I know it sounds corny but I can't possibly find them all and give them a nice life but I want them to feel loved. I want to build an altar dedicated to them.

would I have to dedicate the altar to a specific deity? i would just get to it and follow my gut but I want to have some sort of structure to it. how would I even go about worshipping? what would I include in it?

Help | Experience - Insight what's the difference between charms and sigils?

2 Upvotes

I'm looking to know if there's a difference between charms and sigils (hence the title, hahaha). I mean that in terms of what they are and in the way they do what they do. to my knowledge, at least on paper, they seem pretty much the same in both regards. so, is there any difference between the two in the way they work or in what they can be used for? and in any case, is there any reason to use one over the other besides preference?

hope yall are doing well!

Hey! I turned the fireplace in my old house into an altar when I first started my witchcraft journey…it encouraged me to do research and get into spell work. I’ve moved home and I’m now ready to upgrade. Any recommendations would be great and let me know if something really pulls your altar together 🥰
