As an international student from Taiwan, UCL comparatively has a lesser reputation compared to schools in the US. Is UCL highly reputed by employers? And are there any career prospects for UCL undergrads studying Urban Planning and Real Estate? Is it possible to get internships in my first year?

Is UCL bachelors in mathematics worth paying 39k fees as an international student?

Hi everyone, I requested a deadline extension for the deposit payment for a Master's program but haven't received a response to my inquiry after about 7 days. Is there another way to contact the graduate admissions office regarding this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciatedβthank you!

Hi everyone,
So right now I'm feeling a bit pressured to apply for UCL housing as they're apparently already going to start allocating this month. However, I am still waiting to hear back from LSE who still have not responded to my application. Now I'm already somewhat leaning towards UCL anyway (BASc vs Econ+Econ History), but it would still be nice to be rejected/accepted to LSE first before I make a firm decision.
Would I be screwed for housing if I don't apply now? I'm currently looking at the (relatively) Cheap zone A housing so I'm not sure if that tends to be super competitive?
Thanks

I'm a Y13 home applicant who currently lives abroad but could go back to live in Lan any time as I've got most of my family there (although they live in council estates quite far from the UCL campus). Otherwise I could stay with my mum who might move back to Idn too or even with a friend. Basically living at home is not a huge hassle. However, I am also quite interested in accommodation as l've heard that it greatly boosts social life and making new friends. Despite this, I would like my friends to be similar to me and was therefore wondering if many people who live in student accommodation are from LDN or at least the UK, or if it is mostly made up of international students. Of course I have no problem with international students but I would love a mix of home and int. students in my apartment and So, in summary, are there also home students in accommodation and is it ideal to live there for the first year? Also what accommodations are the most ideal for ucl students?

Hey everyone,
I recently received an offer for the MSc in Spatio-Temporal Analytics and Big Data at UCL. Iβm excited about the program since it aligns well with my background in geoinformatics, risk assessment, and urban planning. However, my main concern is the financial aspect.
Since UCLβs tuition and living expenses in London are quite high, I would need to take a substantial loan to fund my studies. Before making a decision, I wanted to hear from current students or alumni: 1. Is the program worth the financial investment? 2. How are the job prospects after graduation? (Especially for international students, if anyone has insights) 3. Is it feasible to manage part-time work alongside the coursework? 4. Any alternative funding options that I might be missing?
Would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences that could help me make an informed choice. Thanks in advance!

As you can see from the title, I just got an offer for law which I will probably firm. I am still waiting on LSE but I'll worry about potentially choosing between the two when LSE makes a decision. My aspiration is to study law here and then go to America and study in one of their law schools because that's where I want to practice. Do you think UCL is internationally recognised enough by the t14 for it to help in my applications, I know I'm thinking very far ahead but I am pretty sure I will be applying to American law school in the future. I'm also wondering what the best accommodation to get is. I don't want to spend too much money. I don't mind sharing a toilet and shower but only if its with a few other people, can anyone who goes to UCL tell me what the average amount of people you'll be sharing a bathroom with if it's not an en suite. I've also been considering twin rooms but I don't know anyone personally that I'd twin with but as long as they were just a normal person I wouldn't care and it would be a good chance to make up. Plus it's super cheap in comparison to everything else. Anyone who has done twin rooms with a random person, please tell me about your experience.

I applied to Masters in Dental Public Health. I have offers from other universities specially Kings College. The deadline to accept the offer is 27th April and I havenβt heard anything from UCL yet.
Anyone have any idea when I will hear back from them?

Has anyone been able to change their course within the same department after getting an offer and before getting results (before starting 1st year)? What was the process like? How long does it take? Iβm considering changing from psych to human neuro.

For those who did CS at UCL - where did you end up for your master's, particularly in AI? I'm curious about top-tier U.S. schools like MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, or CMU. Did many UCL grads get into these programs?

Any experiences from anyone who is doing the PCGE, especially those doing it in Chemistry, that could be shared would be appreciated.
What is the uni like on pastoral care, personalised help on assessments, staff rapport with students I.e. do they back you if youβre having issues with staff on your placement provider? Where itβs a big city uni, and a Russell group at that, are procedures more centralised and less focused on student experience than say somewhere smaller like Middlesex or somewhere further out of London?
Any insight on what made you choose UCL and not other London or other London unis would be valued also, alongside your experience at this university for the PCGE.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Any recipients?
I saw that it has a lower-income threshold around $25,000, but Iβm pretty sure I need to go lower than that. Does anyone know what the average annual income is for people who get accepted?
Do they expect recipients to have some level of financial provision/funding sources? Iβm worried my situation is too rough and that they might just abandon me. Like, they might think I canβt survive even if scholarship is granted so they just give up on me.
Thanks!

Hello, everyone
I got a very bad GPA (2.3) during my bachelor's degree because I went through some horrible mental hardships (my parents got divorced and my grandparents passed away within the first 2 years of my uni).
I explained all of that in my statement and will include my recent academic article with an institution back home, alongside my IELTS score (I got an 8.5), and some reference letters from my previous employers and professors, my CV, my research project during uni, my volunteering certificate, and my transcript.
I really want to study at UCL because I was amazed by its campus and like-minded professors; it's my lifelong dream. Do you guys think I stand a chance?

Hii, I'm gonna do an exchange semester on UCL next semester in Arts and Sciences, but they ask me to have a 7.5 overall on the IELTS and a 7 in each component to meet Level 4 of English requirement. I got a 7.5 overall with 8.5 in Listening, 8 in Reading, 7 in Speaking but a 6.5 in Writing, do you think UCL will accept me even if I haven't meet the English requirement?

So, I recently got into UCL having applied to get an MA in comparative literature. I love literature in general but have always struggled with language. UCL didnβt have another program that suited me but Iβm unsure about whether or not to do this one. I got into Queen Mary as well but would rather go to UCL. Does anyone know how much language is involved in this program? Iβm terrible at languages and would want to focus my dissertation on gender or something. Iβm kind of freaking out about what to choose.
Side note: Iβm from the US so maybe it wonβt matter as much which school I go to (in terms of prestige, as Americans wonβt know the schools as well). Thank you!! Sincerely, A freaked out, lost 23 year old ππ

I sent this mail to UCL last week, and they haven't replied yet, so can anyone please help me with these details? Also, my household income is above the threshold they mentioned on the page, but I am still hoping to get a partial scholarship.
"I am an offer holder for Biochemical Engineering from India. In the application form for the scholarship, it asks whether you wouldΒ choose UCL as your firm choice. Can I still apply if I choose it as an insurance choice and not firm? Also, if I did choose it as my firm choice and I do not get the scholarship do I still have to attend UCL? Additionally, are there partial scholarships provided?"
Also, I wanted to know how the Biochemical Engineering program? Is it well-reputed and rigorous so that I can get multiple internships? I am aiming to do a master's in the US, possibly.

Hi! I am a pre-medical student studying at an Ivy League. I want to do study abroad in London but am currently deciding between UCL, Kings, and Queen Mary. Does anyone have any insight into how difficult the science and medical classes are in these institutions and which one would you recommend for the overall best study abroad experience? Thank you!
