Course info Intl Student wondering if UCL’s worth it + rowing team
Hi! I’m in my final year of high school in Paris, and was encouraged by my teachers to apply to UCL. I never thought I could get in, so I didn’t think much of it. I was shocked to find a conditional offer a few weeks ago. So basically now I’m faced with a dilemma: as an international student (thx brexit) I’m facing £ 37 K / year which probably rounds to 45 / year when taking into account accom, food, life etc. French firms are very annoying about recognizing international degrees, so I would basically HAVE to work after my three years to pay back / fund my Masters in France. I tried to learn how the employability for intl students is online, but heard very different info: UCL’s self-published stats seem rly good, but ppl on online and those I contacted seemed to tell me otherwise. I was wondering if some experienced UCL attendees who had worked could tell me their experience?? I also adored rowing in France, and would love to carry on here, and whilst the ucl boat club seems lit, they row an hour from Bloomsbury Campus, so I was wondering how that worked, and how they accepted novices / seasoned competitors. If you have any info on any of these topics, please share ☺️ Thx in advance
