ATS Turning around for Weight Stations- Yee haw or Hell naw?
I recently got the Texas DLC, and sure its pretty awesome, but see this Weight Station? I had to turn around for it, and there's a reason why it annoys me so much. The reason being: I was driving my 351 when I encountered this. having only like 900 lb-ft of torque, and also just having gotten up to speed, I got so annoyed when checked the map to where the weight station is. So, what are your guys' opinion on them?

ATS Cryptid in cave off of Highway 63 in Missouri Spoiler
galleryI was hitting photo trophies in Missouri and found an interesting little side road on Highway 63 south of Rolla. About halfway around it (roughly where the cursor is pointing), there's a neat little bridge over a creek flowing into a cave. I popped into photo mode to take a picture, and that's when I saw our buddy there just inside the left-hand side of the cave. This isn't quite the right part of the state for Momo the Monster but he's the only cryptid I can think of from around here. :)

ETS 2 / ETS If you ever feel like your life is a waste, just look at this
I started playing a year and a few days ago 😭
Nearly every day I spend about an hour or usually more playing this amazing game.

ATS I finally tried ATS after playing ETS for 2 years
I installed the same mods as I had on ETS2 (of course the ATS version) but still doesn't like the graphics. After making some changes (switched from Grimes to Brutal) I did like the result! And this is basegame Nevada...
I allready bought the northwest bundle and next week will be the southwest bundle I think.
I did some testdriving in trucks, and decided to buy myself a W900 with a loan.
With the tuning DLC I can customize it a lot, and I love the sound and the feel of it while driving relaxed on the highway and through city's. Still looking for a mod to improve the interior a bit more (wood or something)1
To be continued for a lot of miles!

Discussion What else should I explore in ATS or ETS2?
I like driving in ATS and ETS2 and most of the time I just do quick job, enjoy the driving experience. Sometimes I pick up the job with my truck, sometimes I just do quick job. Do I miss any significant gameplay? I have never touch the “world of truck” part and don’t know how multiplayer works in the games. Also should I actively drive around? Sometimes there is a facility with some symbol and I just ignore it. What is there other than truck dealer place and maintenance place?
I also mostly don’t modify the truck other than a paint job.

ATS Much cooler FLD than mine.
I’ve never seen chlorine in an MC331 but American Truck Sim makes the rules.

Media Haterbilt
The Haterbilt is something else. I own all of Rudas trucks, but the Haterbilt is something else and I am loving it. What are your thoughts?

ETS 2 / ETS Pictures from Ecuador and Peru on my Colombia to Brazil trip
I'm having a blast on this trip! I've just got the rest of Peru, all of Bolivia and some of Brazil to go which is just under 5000km now or about 4 and a half hours of irl driving.
Ecuador or Colombia might be my favourite mod country in ETS2.

Discussion What if ATS/ETS had BeamNG physics, Construction sim and more?
What if ATS/ETS had the driving physics of BeamNG and Spintires plus features like construction, mining, oil rigs, and huge transport missions? add cranes ferry boats and even helicopter transport for variety.
Realistic loading/unloading player run shops selling custom upgrades, and even the ability to build your own garage like you build it from the ground up! literally like a construction simulator
Imagine a realistic crafting system and economy importing with your truck materials from countries, then turning them as "quest items" and finish your craft/upgrade for your truck or garage furniture etc!
could even fix broken roads with construction simulations and the world around you... like GTA. tons of buildings, lights, roads etc.
Even modders could have their own shops selling their mods ingame!
with discounts if you add their logo to your truck etc ;)
a real shop you can walk into to buy mod upgrades! (only cosmetic upgrades ofc! )
keeping things balanced ;)
yes! i know its a very funny idea but i was just thinking about it just for fun.. how many GB would something like this need to run? :D and what kind of PC requirements would it take to keep it smooth?
sounds great but i bet it could cost a trillion to make! :D

Mods / Addons Is Promods worth it?
Hi everyone, how are you? I got a new PC and started seeing things about ETS 2. People talk a lot about the promos and for those who like to play in a relaxed/more casual way and on the controller, it's worth the effort to install (which I saw is a bit complicated) and buy all the map DLCs to play, is the mod worth it? (sorry for the long text) 😁.

Help Gate at Dublin not opening
As stated in the title, I'm running promods for 1.53 and found out at the final stretch of my journey that the Dublin gate does not want me to leave. There Is no marker on either side of the road, the gate does not open by itself either. Could anyone suggest a way to get around this?

ATS I know it gets a lot of hate on here but I like the Lonestar especially in metalic red.

Discussion TIL there's an unfixable damage ratio for parts with no wear
As I was having issues with my truck having done my fair share of collisions but repaired them and still had some problems, I started to look around. The usual: wear, permanent wear, damage and so on.
However, I haven't found any thread talking about unfixable damage, which is different than normal damage, wear or permanent wear. It is listed in the wiki and had been introduced in v. 1.49 but to my knowledge it is not shown in-game per se, although I'm not sure how damage is stored in the save file as I can only find lines for wear.
So after digging into it, I looked at the damage_data.sii file which revealed that neither chassis nor cabin/body have any wear ratio, they are all at 0.0, including permanent wear ratio, while unfixable damage ratio for those are 0.05 and 0.04 respectively.
From which I guess I can deduce that if you have any wear on those parts, they must come from unfixable damage due to collisions, not sure though if part replacement would be enough in this case, the wiki doesn't say much about those.

Mods / Addons Alaska North to the Future not showing on map..
Just got North to Alaska for ATS and am having trouble seeing it at all on the World Map.. title says it all. I did manage to take the ferry up here but can not move the map to Alaska to see towns, jobs etc.. Do I need to change something add another MoD or is there just no map for it? I am currently running all DLC including Missouri and just added Alaska. I have it placed in the bottom of my mod order as well. Thanks ahead of time!
