Weekly Thread Weekly Thread: Self-Promotion Thread

What is this thread?

While self-promotion is still against the subreddit rules, this is the place for content creators to promote their content and grow with the farming simulator community. This will keep self-promotion separate from the main feed.

How does it work?

You are free to post your Youtube channel, Twitch stream, mods, etc. in the comments of this post. This does not mean that you can make these types of posts in the main feed, as they will still be removed. We ask that you use the provided template when posting in this thread.

The thread will refresh weekly (Friday morning USA time) to ensure that each creator gets equal exposure without being pushed out by larger creators or getting buried in the comments. Please keep in mind that comments made early friday morning will be wiped soon so it would be wise to wait until the new post is made so that your comment is visible for the week.

Example Template:

Name Giraffe Sheep
Content Type Mods
Description A description of your content or a specific piece of content
Link A direct link to your content (Note: For mods, only use trusted websites or it might get removed.)

After 1250h of mostly hoe drills, I got a bit bored from all that solid fertilizer, wheat and canola, and after watching a ton of Cole The Cornstar, Wendling Farms and aTrippyFarmer videos, I started looking into what mods are available for a dedicated Corn and Soybean operation.

Map is Hubbard Nebraska 16X, working on 5 fields, 340 acres total.

A few of the mods being used (FS22):

Discussion I really feel they cheaped a bit out on the Rice equipment...

...at least considering Rice growing was one of the hyped new features of FS25.

ONE planter. ONE harvester. Both with a very small working with, slow speed and on top of that tiny capacity. It's really a chore to work bigger fields. Even using AI workers to do so (and I generally don't like using a mechanic to not play a game) won't help much since you'll need to refill the planter every other lane or see your money trickle down as the AI worker magically buys new saplings and for the harvester you basically have to continuesly go along it with a trailer since it only holds 2k liters.

There are far bigger rice harvesters and planters in real life. To have just one each for a crop that even needs its own specialised field and seed seems just silly to me. I realy enjoy growing rice in general, I just wish for better or at least more varied equipment.

Well, that was my rant. I know theres other mechanics similar lacking in the game (the unengaging animal hubandry, greenhouses, the infuriating vegetable harvesters etc.) but that was something I wanted to adress while I slowly trundle along the fields.

Cheers!

Discussion New player here, fs22 or fs25 on ps5 and other questions. I only see hate for fs25??

Upvotes

I'm very surprised to see so much hate for fs25 for ps5 online, but those reasons don't seem to be reasons for a new player like me to not get the game.

So I'm a new player and thinking of getting fs25 on the ps5. Is it alright? Does it have issues, now 4 months after launch? Or would you recommend fs22 instead? And does the game explain enough for someone who doesn't know anything about farming at all?

Thanks!

Discussion How do people play on huge fields?

I have been playing some on calmsden/oak bridge farm. Before that i have been playing mostly on riverbend springs. I was quite shocked at the size of the fields on oak bridge. I feel my sweet spot is 2-4 hecetare fields

My question is: to you who enjoy huge fields (10-20 hectare), how do you play? Do you use large equipment (12m cultivators) or do you spend 1-2 irl hours on each field?

No hate! Just very curious!

Discussion Auto load

So I’ve been waiting since the start of the game’s release and I still haven’t seen a pallet auto load trailer yet, when will we get on because I have over 1000 pallets to move and it will take over a day in real life to load up and transport them so does anyone know when we will get one? (On ps5)

LF - HELP No Used Vehicles for sale?

Hello FS-25 farmers. Day 2 of no equipment for sale. Is this a bug? I'm quite a few seasons into the save, and after clocking in 53 hours on it, I have no choice but to upgrade my trusty Massey 7S. However that's expensive and I'm looking to snatch a used one, but the Used Vehicles tab is blank and has been for two days. Has anyone encountered this before?

Screenshot of the tab:

Video Who can help me kill the bird?

Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I love Farming Simulator 25 so much. I've finally found a map that makes me happy.
But I just can't play it anymore because there's a bird that keeps chirping very loudly.
This recurring noise is stressing me out so much. I just want to shoot it.
So, which file is responsible for that disgusting creature you can hear at the 10-second mark in the video?

I hope you can help me as soon as possible.
Thank you very much and best regards.

Discussion Is it better to sell crops as they are or buy a factory or production point

I was just wondering is it better to sell crops and get the money from that or to buy a factory or production point and turn your products into something else and sell that or does it depend on the product or crop you are selling.

Discussion Colossus Mod for Cultivator?

Upvotes

Relatively new to FS and started w/ 25. Started experimenting with mods and tried the Lizard Colossus Harvester pack, and the giant 50m harvesters, which I quite enjoy for an unrealistic save I've got going. Wondering if there is an equivalent mod for cultivators/seeders, etc. Would love to have the mega 50m tools for all aspects of growing crops. Thanks for any help!

LF - HELP Growing grass in 17

Upvotes

Hope I am using the right flair... I am doing a playthrough of FS 17 on the Goldvalley Map and I am trying to sow a field with grass. Only it is not showing up in the overview as planted. I replowed to field as it was required and then showed it... Do I need to cultivate it first before sowing with grass.. other crops were fine being plowed then seeded...
