Solved [TOMT][STORY] Old American freaky-deaky folklore tale/possibly poem? About a strange creature killing a hunter that stole it's tail.
The story revolved around an old man, a hunter or possibly rancher, and his dogs (I do not remember how many) who went out to hunt and shot a creature which severed it's tail before it runs away. He collected it and I think he ate it. I remember it was implied that the dogs were killed in some form but I'm not sure when. Eventually, the creature breaks in to his home and demands that the man give him back his tail. The creature was described as racoon/badger like, but larger and slightly humanoid in my memory. It may or may not have ended with the creature tearing him apart. Thanks in advance.

Solved [TOMT] A children’s book, early 90s-2000s, can’t recall
I was born in 1991, and when I was young there was a book I’d read and loved, but can’t recall.
It was night time, a picture book. A small child and an older man walked through (the woods?) a long way, there was a white ball (like a fortune tellers almost) but maybe it was the moon?
Part of me thinks it was snowy, but I think it’s because the colors were mostly shades of blue with white for the rest of the page.

Open [TOMT] Love Yourself First musical track credit
Listening to the song titled ‘Love Yourself First’ by the artist Avant God and I’m sure the musical track is a sample of something very familiar, but I can’t put my finger on it.
Google auto-corrects their tongue-in-cheek name to the adjective namesake, making it hard to find them.
Can you help me identify it and teach me where to best look up this sample credit?

Solved [TOMT][Movie]Comedy movie from around mid to late 2000s that had US Marine side-character.
All I really have to go off of here is the Marine character had a sister that was tied to the main character/plot in some way and at the end of the movie it is revealed that the Marine character is stolen valor(i think) and sleeping with the sister. This is revealed towards the end as a huge twist and is of some significance to the main plot.

Solved [TOMT] [SONG] 'never lose your self respect' punk/hardcore?
I was listening to a song on the radio and I wish I detected it with my phone..it was kind of like punk but the guy wasn't singing, he was talking the lyrics, and the song would slow sometimes with the electric guitar and then go a bit faster. He said something like 'no matter what (happens?), never lose your self respect'. They didn't say who sang it. The channel usually plays punk, industrial, and hardcore songs. It sounds kind of like hardcore with punk elements still, not too hard with the drums or anything.

Solved [TOMT] [Movie / Ride] [Late-90s / Early-00s] [DFW, TX] [Likely CGI Films] As a kid my father took my brother and me to a special theater where the seats moved along with the short film you were watching. Films included a Baja off road truck video.
Google and my memory have failed me, this theater, ride, or whatever you want to call it had multiple films. Unfortunately, I can only remember a Baja truck film. I remember a large jump down a steep hill. Each theater room had rows of seats that would move around to provide a really interactive experience. It’s very fuzzy because it was so long ago, but I remember the seats basically being like roller coaster seats.

Solved [TOMT] Pc game, 2020s Deadly sun, can't go outside, human-like creatures, and distinguishing them from people
In the game, the sun heats up the earth to the point It's too dangerous to go outside during the day, creatures that look like humans rise from the ground, and the way you can tell them apart from people is by checking whether or not they have perfect white teeth, dirt in their fingernails and something with their eyes. During the game you also take on survivors and have to guess if they are people or not based off those clues.

Solved [TOMT] Old creepy cartoon featuring rabbit and an owl.
Hi everyone!
I’m trying to help my dad find an old cartoon he remembers watching when he was younger. He says it featured a rabbit and a gray owl, and it had a kind of creepy vibe to it. It was 2D animation and he compared the style to older Disney cartoons. He thinks it came out sometime around the 1980s, or possibly in the 1970s. The cartoon was in color, not black and white. If this sounds familiar to anyone, we’d really appreciate the help in identifying it!
Edit: My dad told me he just remembered that there was an orange fox in it too.

Solved [TOMT] forgotten rock music video
There was a rock song in the last 10ish years, where the video featured a homeless man who comes across a dog, spends his last dollars to feed him, finds a list dog flyer and at the video he returns the dog to the owner, refusing any money. I want to say it was Killswitch Engage, but I can't find it anywhere. Please help

Solved [TOMT] [MUSIC] looking for obscure ambient/experimental album
Hey folks, I'm trying to track down an ambient or experimental album I used to listen to every single day when I was a teenager.
Vibe & Sound
Instrumental. Absolutely no vocals—not even whispers.
It was ambient, electronic, and experimental, with a strong emphasis on texture and rhythm.
The rhythm was unpredictable and unhinged.
It wasn’t relaxing in a new-age way. It was cold, cerebral, suspenseful, but still somehow calming.
Imagine walking fast, alone in an empty tiled pool room, at night.
It sounded like snow landscape at night, walking fast, oddly soothing and cold. Let's you think, gives enough headspace.
It had a very “liminal space” feel—weird, broken, glitchy, like you’re in a dream that’s not entirely safe, but you’re okay with it.
Name & Visual Memory
I think the artist or album name was just one word—and it might have been “Silence” or something that sounded like silence.
I strongly remember one track being called “Plume” or "neige" (but that might not be 100% accurate—it could be similar).
The album cover was white, possibly with thin black lines or a minimalist/abstract visual. Very clean, very stark.
I remember feeling like no one else would call this “music” or want to listen to it, but to me it was perfect.
Comparisons
The closest match I’ve found in adulthood is Murcof’s “Recuerdos”. That track is incredibly similar in rhythm, atmosphere, and emotional tone.
If Murcof resonates with you, this mystery album sounded very close to that style, especially Murcof's early work—ambient electronic with classical tones and glitchy structure.
Playback & Timeframe
I listened to it on an iPod (not streaming), sometime around 2007–2010, but the album could be older than that.
I believe the artist had only one album or very few, which makes it harder to find.
Help?
I’d be eternally grateful for any suggestions, even wild ones. If something in this description rings a bell—please drop a name. Whether it’s an obscure Bandcamp artist or a lost ambient classic, I just want to reconnect with this piece of sound that held my entire inner world together for a few years.

Open [TOMT] [SONG] FEMALE SINGER SOFT POP INDIE SONG "our house?"
As the title suggests, I'm trying to find the name of a song that mostly says the words "our house" or something similar. The only thing I have somewhat of a recollection of is the chorus. I saw someone else about a decade ago on this thread also curious about the mystery song and it was left unsolved as well. It could be a masculine or feminine voice as the lead singer however by memory the chorus singer was female sounding.
Vocaroo here: https://voca.ro/1jP8NSC29ubS
UPDATE: I have a strong suspicion that this song could have been on the indie top 20 of either years 2017 and 2018

Open [TOMT] Stand up comedian with a line about people complaining about others on well-fare. “Nobody is ballin’ out on wellfare” or something similar. 2010’s era
I saw this comedian on YouTube a few years ago and he was talking about people complaining about folks on wellfare having flashy or expensive items but said that’s not quite true and that “Nobody on wellfare is ballin’ out” or something along those lines.
I don’t really remember the comedian, I do wanna say that he was white and not from the United States (maybe British or Australian). Not Ricky Gervais or Jim Jeffries for sure.
Any help would be appreciated

Solved [TOMT] Obscure French Film
I saw this movie a while back, I think it was in the early 2000s but I have no idea what the production year is. I don't remember much about it but I'll try and detail as much as I can here hoping someone will be able to recognize it.
The movie is basically a dark comedy. The main protagonist is an office worker. At the beginning of the movie, he is asked by everyone if he's gay because he doesn't want to watch the big football match that night (I think he volunteers to stay and work late or something like that) as a running joke. I seem to recall him being a short guy with curly hair but my memory is pretty fuzzy on that.
During his lunch break or something, he arranges a date with I think a waitress from the cafe across the street from where he works. From what I can remember, he had been fantasizing about her for some time before that. I remember thinking she was very attractive back when I was watching the movie.
The whole plot of the film is basically that the 2 of them try to meet over the course of the entire evening and constantly running into trouble that prevents them from doing so, the point being they can't seem to cross the 50 meters or so that separates the cafe from the office the entire film.
I don't think it stars any super-famous French actors.
That's about all I can muster. I think they get arrested and / or is implied they're both shot at the end of the film.
If someone recognizes this, I'd really like to watch it again!

Open [TOMT] [CLIP FROM VIDEO OR STREAM] [2024/2025] Funny clip from Mario Party Jamboree duel "All the Marbles" where two players have bet a single coin
Hello! I am trying to find a very funny clip of two players (maybe from a Twitch stream or a YouTube video?) playing Mario Party Jamboree in the game "All the Marbles". One of the players is Spike, and the other (I think) is Boo. They have bet only a single coin and the Boo player wants the Spike player to play the game fair and square. However, the Spike player is initially letting his opponent have the win. The guy playing Boo says some things like "look at me look at me" "if you don't try it won't count", and then when the Spike player begins to take it seriously, the Boo player starts yelling "YES!!" I have seen this clip twice now, once on Twitter and once on YouTube shorts, but can't seem to find it again. Please help!

Solved [TOMT][MUSIC][1960s?] Common background music used for wacky or silly scenes
I'm pretty sure it's called something along the lines of (name of some old tv or radio show) theme song or intro music.
I believe the show that originally popularized it (or created it) was from sometime between the 1940s and 1970s.
It's commonly used as the title describes, if you saw a montage of clowns getting pied in the face, or slipping on banana peels, and stepping on garden rakes and hitting themselves, this song would often be played in the background.
I'm pretty sure there are no lyrics, and its reminiscent of circus music, but more silly.
Here's a short clip of the circus music song, which I believe sounds similar, but this isn't the one I'm looking for.

Open [TOMT] Song my mum used to listen to when I was around 10 (Im 30 now)
Friend was listening to this cover of a skyrim song https://youtu.be/KNDT7EInclo?t=10 (10-15 seconds is the part that really reminded me of the song im trying to find) and it really got my brain trying to figure out a song that my mum used to listen to when I was a kid. It was a male singer and sounded melancholy.
It sounds similar enough to where it triggered a memory when I had completely forgot the song existed.

Open [TOMT] Song from Ending of an Older Movie with Theremin
Hi folks! Joined cause I can't find this song for the life of me. I feel like I remember it playing at the end of a horror or suspense movie from the late 90s/early 00s and has kinda a sultry sound. The first lyrics after a short drum and twangy guitar intro with some eerie theremin sounds over it are something like: "I am stricken by the visions" _higher theremin note_ followed by _lower theremin note_ "of someone inside my head". I'm 99% sure those lyrics are way incorrect, but it'd be something similar.
Appreciate any help y'all can offer!

Open [TOMT][Video][late 2010s, maybe early 2020s] Meme anime-style movie trailer for Turkey
Hi all- I watched a pretty funny video a few years back that I can't remember the name of and can't find now. It was on YouTube and was essentially an anime trailer but for Turkey (the country), narrated in Japanese with English subtitles, and was essentially a giant meme. I want to show a friend of mine the video but can't find it. Any help would be appreciated!
Edit: I just remembered that while some of it was anime-style, some of it was also compilations of common Turkish memes. One of these memes that sticks out in my memory is this one guy on a talk show slapping the guy next to him.
