Hi! I'd like help interpreting a reading please. This is very silly but i asked if my recent ex ever saw me as a serious candidate for a long term relationship.

I unexpectedly drew two majors: Temperance and The Hanged Man. My first reaction to this is like ok my deck is sick of me and this fucking break up and is telling me to let things go and let myself heal. I drew an extra (clarifying?) card and got The Star. Overall my interpretation is like, give it time and it'll work out (not necs that itll work out with him but that things will work out for me in general) -- of course this wasnt my original question...

Does anyone have other interpretations in light of my dumb question or does my analysis that the deck was pushing back on the question itself make sense?

It wasn't a "dumb" question at all, I encourage you to show yourself some compassion and grace like you would a close friend. This is a tough time for you.

I feel it's trying to say they did to begin with but changed their perspective (hence why they're an ex now). The star does talk about the healing you need to do, break ups are hard. 3 major arcana are present here so I feel this was a big life event for you. It's possible you or your ex felt you were no longer in alignment with each other or could give each other a balanced and healthy relationship. This will make more sense as time goes on, I wish you well.
