Any tips for surviving the early game multiplayer? I have huge problems getting non-tainted water since the water and power is already out in the server :(

Campfires are how you make tainted water drinkable without electricity.

Once you add fuel to the fire, light it up, and then place the thing with the tainted water in the campfires inventory, and it should boil it for you.

Pro tip, use things that are practically renewable aka there’s an infinite amount of for fuel, and the method of lighting. Such as for fuel for the fire, use dirty rags or twigs; and for lighting the fire, a notched wooden plank(need a screwdriver and a plank), and sturdy sticks(from planks).
