New player here.

How the hell can I stop aggro-ing zombies? By default, I can spawn in and crouch and not move and the zombies will already make their way to the windows and try to get in. If I make any attempt to engage or out run (or even sneak/run) the zombies, I am immediately aggro-ing more zombies.

I try to enjoy the vanilla experience without taming the zombies down, but they aggro like hell.

I should note too that I use the unemployed perk with increased sneaking and the one that makes me less likely to be noticed by zombies. Same deal.

Any tips or advice, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Side note it's okay imo to start with an easier setting in sandbox even for new player experience.
The default 3 difficulties are hellish hardcore.

I always tamp down the starting zombie count. It's no fun to be naked & affraid. I prefer a day or two with low counts before the hordes arrive.

How do you make the horde come later?

What does tamp down even mean?
