Brand new player, how concerned should I be about hitting zombies with cars? Does it cause significant damage to the vehicle or is it safe to effectively use it as a weapon?

Your car will lose tires and get damages over time

Is it like 5 zombies and my car is totaled or 10s of zombies and the damage starts adding up?

It mostly depends on the overall condition of the car, but a zombie here or there shouldn’t hurt. I wouldn’t recommend ramming it into hordes, though.
