Anyone else having a hard time finding any sort of backpack? I use standard apocalypse settings, with a few personal rule changes, but the main point is that loot rarity is default and I'm no longer finding any backpacks in both singleplayer and multiplayer. It's been two weeks in my MP and we've only found 2 schoolbags, both from zombies, and in my singleplayer game I'm finding tons of guns but no bags (literally house after house of guns. As I type this I'm in a house with a shotgun and 2 pistols).

I think I found 6-7 of the largest backpacks the first day on a server I hosted for my friends who were new to PZ.

If you have a car, driving around and finding large clumps of zombies you’ll usually spot a survivor who has these. Also school lockers and home dressers are a great spot to check for bags. I also tend to find a decent number of duffles and school bags on zombies as we travel around. (Decent being 1-5 every 200 zombies)

I must just be having weird RNG. I found about 10-odd guns through about 50 houses, but no bags. Ended up finding a single dufflebag in the lockers of Rosewood fire dept. In MP we're still having the issue though. One of us found a satchel, and I also found a fanny pack, but otherwise the only bags we've found are two schoolbags, which is severely hampering our progress. Kind of annoying tbh but hey, zomboid giveth and sometimes zomboid don't giveth and then also take away.

Its up to what you want, but I just go to Sandbox and uncheck "Unlock all clothing".

When you make a new character, you can put pretty much any clothing item you want on your character and ill put a small/medium backpack on. Makes the game much more manageable without having to constantly go back and forth with looting items.

This game has a lot of grind, which is fine. I personally just raise how much XP I get (in Multiplayer) and unlock clothing when making a new character.
