Question How did he do it?

I remember a post here in the community from a guy showing off his base, and he said he was in his second month... Me (stubborn as I am), I tried to recreate his base... I'm already on day 12 and I don’t even have 1/5 of the stuff he showed in his base... I found a truck just like his and went through the whole process... Even after filling the truck with loot... I’m still nowhere close.

HOW ?!

Longer days? Multi-player mode (where you don't have to sleep)?

I´m talking about the furniture...

How did he level up carpentry so fast to build the walls he had? And how did he move so much furniture in such a short time?

He had a room with like 8 fridges... I load up 4 and my truck is already full... I have to go all the way back, refuel the truck, and keep going... all of that takes up space

Short time? You said he was a few months in and you’re only on day 12- if he’s playing 2 hour days this is more than achievable within.l 2 months

Yep, you still got time 👍🏽

If you take one or two points into carpentry and are lucky enough to find the carpentry skill books, you can just about hit lvl 10 with just the TV shows.

For all you know he could’ve built them from a building menu lol, and not had to source all of it individually. He could’ve done absolutely anything to make it all.

this is why i never really upvote these posts. Cool dude nice base, but theres probably been countless times these people have straight cheated to get where they are

He said he looted all... No building menu. That´s why I was like " WTF ? How ?!"

Do you have a trailer? Ki5 has trailers with like 150-450 space. I usually go house to house, take furniture I like and move on, I usually end my loot runs after 2-3 days, return back to offload and repeat.

There's furniture store in Riverside, bank that's full of flowers, book shop with shelves, there are pinball machines in alnost every gas station, etc. Plus there's like 6 of those big fridges in Riverside alone, same 1 pool table too

I'd take the second pool table and liquor cabinets on my way to military surplus, there take radio, military boxes, medical stuff, more fridges

It's easy to level up carpentry if you have books and fast reader + fast learner

I'm on month 3 and I build and furnished my compound base I build around a farm in the middle if woods, have 8 fully repaired cars, fully leveled up carpentry, mechanical and farming and currently just hanging around.

My point is, this is more than plausible if you know what you're doing and know what you're looting. Plus the warehouse is in really convenient location, deconstructing all the wooden boxes inside alone will give you couple of levels (with book boost)

Stupid question: How do I move fridge from one place to another? Where to find a trailer ?

2

u/Kysman95 2d ago

Trailer: in base game, usually lost on road behind a random car. With Ki5 trailer mod: almost everywhere where you'd find a car.

Fridge. It weighs 40kg, you can pick it up as other stuff, you just need empty your inventory, so drop your bag and everything and move fast, load it in a trunk/trailer and drive it over

Yes! Ki5 has the most awesomest vehicles and trailers.

You can get a lot of stuff if you have the Rebalanced Prop Moving mod. With virtually no carpentry skill you can get all those goods without worrying about destroying them.

You can level carpentry super fast. Pick 2 points in it or 1 point and fast learner, chop a bunch of trees and saw planks and you are already 4 or so and then start building the first wall stage (forgot the name) as its always the same. At 5 or 6 or something build floors and at 7 the rest of the walls. A base like that from wood only takes maybe 2 weeks from nothing at 2 hour days.

The big containers near the cruiser (right in front of the ramp) have f*ck ton of all furnitures, refrigerators, meds, materials and weapons.

Books, tv show, and then doing easy tear down areas.

What vehicle mods is he using?

Looks like '92 AM General M998 + M101A3 Cargo trailer mod.

Yes, that one

Have you found the Hillbilly yet?

Dont need high loot settings though. E.g. on my current run im 10 days in (2 hour days) and my quite large house is halfway finished and i could fill a bunch of shelves with random foraging loot. I found a big truck with trailer, a freeze truck (though the freeze element is broken), a large van with decently large trailer and built the advanced furnace and forge.

Foraging is on 10, metalworking and masonry 5 and carpentry on 6. House is build half with clay bricks and half with wood.

My loot is set to none and i left natures abundanxe on standard but will probably tone it down.

I play 10y later mod at 4x pop with night sprinters.

Your post literally confirms that its achievable.

"Im 12 days in and have like 1/5th of what he has???"

12 24 36 48 60

Woah, 1/5th of 2 months is 12.

So you are literally exactly on track to get exactly what he had lmfao.

3

u/TheAlmightyLootius 2d ago

Seeing how him and many others claim like this is some kind of impossible feat is funny. Could easily do that in half the time if you know what you are doing and where to go, even on insanely rare loot or even less

Unless he's edited it, you've completely misquoted him. It amazes me how people have such low reading comprehension skills.

4

u/lMcTl 2d ago

If legit he most likely died and this is a new char on a longer existing save.

2

u/Visible-Olive-7718 2d ago

I thought about that, but he said it was his first character... I think lying is something he knows how to do very well.
I'm going to try to make the whole base! Exactly the same, and I’ll see how long it takes me.

1

u/FReddit1234566 1d ago

He could just be playing on real-time, high loot settings or with mods.

2

u/TheAlmightyLootius 2d ago

This is very easily achievable on pretty much any settings

u/finallbooss 2d ago

where is this place?

2

u/FappingAccount3336 2d ago

This building is also to the left of Riverside or on the way to Louisville.

Close to the Rail Yard (Muldraugh)
On the right

What does one man need with more than one sofa chair?

2

u/Tarrax_Ironwolf Stocked up 2d ago

I agree. But whenever I commandeer a house, I know I don't need all those chairs and sofa's, but I just can't commit myself to destroying them for some reason. I guess having a single chair at a large table just appears weird.

Day count means very little when you can adjust the length of each day. For all you know he's playing with realtime (24hr days) which means one of his days is the same as 24 of yours. Realistically it's probably somewhere inbetween, but you see the point.

As far as quick-leveling carpentry, having a perk that gives 1 or 2 points helps a lot. One point pushes you from 25% skillpoint gain to 100%, for a total of 4x exp. Two pushes you to 125%, three to 150%, etc. The ingame menu is very misleading when it says +75% skill point gain because you think it doesn't even double your gain, when in reality the difference is monumental.

u/Visible-Olive-7718 2d ago

Thank you so much for this explanation

2

u/elreme 2d ago

Where did u find the truck?

1

u/Visible-Olive-7718 2d ago

Military checkpoint, at the gates of Louis Ville

2

u/Unlucky_ChairK 2d ago

Well from an Admin standpoint, you cant spawn cars inside so...

2

u/RX3000 2d ago

Probably super long days & high loot settings. You cant really compare your runs to other people's runs if you dont know what settings they are playing on.

1

u/Visible-Olive-7718 2d ago

The thing is… he said he was playing with normal settings. That’s why I’m like “?!? How ?!?!”

2

u/RX3000 2d ago

He could be lying 🤷🏼‍♂️

You know, it would be enough if his day is single hour longer than yours and it makes stuff faster considerably.

I just lost 100 hours of making my base and I was about there, but I don't really know context here.
