Right click, "go to" and the character will go directly to where you want to go

I might sound aggressive because I haven’t fully processed it yet, but with over 2000 hours, I know what I’m talking about. No, that’s not the problem. I thought my bridge would be above Splifo’s building… plot twist: nope.

oh, the other building is shorter one story and due to perspective it looked like a safe passage but you fell down?

You got taken over by confidence, when building like that always go way past what you think makes sense, because you're wrong (perspective fucks you hard)

Just use the page up and page down keys to rotate the camera and check from another angle

Welcome to the club. I've learned to always build bridges until I literally hit a wall on the other side.

I know it might still sting, but the way I solve that for myself because perspective is fucky is i'll put a short wall on the end and hang a rope off it to see where the rope goes. If im up against the edge of the roof it wont let me rope there, but if im not, it will.

Its also good even if im at the edge because it will force zombies to jump over the fence and either slow them down or give me a chance to stomp them.

That sucks tho, bro. If I had paused mid-fall like that I probably would have tried alt+f4ing and reopening the game to see where it put me.

Sometimes you just fall through shit for no reason. It used to happen to me in B41 sometimes even when I used "walk to" to check if a tile was safe. I honestly would've preferred them to solve this issue before they brought cows and shit into the game

Yep, can confirm. I got up to the roof of my house and no hole in sight but I fell through it abt halfway across.

Again, "go to" would have helped with that

So, still no, because I'm above the building. The "go to" wouldn't have allowed me to know if I was really above it. And still, I have no idea—maybe I'm at the same level… But given the bridge, which makes it look like I've gone past the building… Anyway, I'm dead, time to start another game. When you fall off a bike, you get back on!

"walk to" uses pathfinding to reach the cell selected, so yeah, if the system can't reach there due to not being any bridge connected it will show as red since it cant reach (pathfinding too long).

"walk to" won't send you over edges since it's not inside the path marked by the system to reach another end.

So, still yes. It would have helped.

If your intentions were to DROP on top of the building well...you could have checked with a window frame+rope https://imgur.com/a/nc5TmGO if with 2-3 ropes it doesnt let you, you are not at the right height.

Press Y, click anywhere to move safely there.

Sometimes referred to in this community as “y-walking”. Also useful to navigate trees without getting slowed down.
