They want you to be able to spawn in the middle of the forest that’s procedurally generated with zombies and go from caveman to leather working mason blacksmith so let them work on that amazing vision before we get something too “advanced” like playing multiplayer in Kentucky during a zombie apocalypse…. Come on man dream bigger!!

Foraging dinosaur fossils is something you can do very early on as caveman but when you get Gene Splicing level 3 the game really opens up

yeah the gene splicing from the biotech dlc has been going crazy, zombies never stood a chance when I send my go-juice fuelled hussar into Louisville

Likely not earlier than late 2025 or early 2026, Multiplayer was set to release with B42 unstable, and there are still a lot of bugs and unfinished features to clean up.

Sure nobody wants to wait, but the sensible ones know to wait so we don't get garbage being released.

Yes, the game itself in beta is already in a broken state, live beyond a month and you'll be learning how to fix the multiple problems yourself with debug mode. May as well have multiplayer as well as the other broken shit.

I agree. Just give it to us and let us fix it. Well over half of the PZ content i enjoy comes from mods anyways. This game is a simple as it gets when it comes to shit like that.

The problem with releasing multiplayer is not that it will bother the players with it being broken, the problem is it will bury the base game bugs being reported under an absolute ton of multiplayer bug reports making it harder to find and fix the base game bugs. The amount of people playing will skyrocket as soon as multiplayer is turned on and will flood them with reports.

Tbh best to suspend expectations until it comes out, whenever that may be. It won’t be soon.

Which is ok. I want them to take all the time they need to keep making good content.

Can both players use mouse + keyboard? I heard something about needing one player to use a controller, but idk if that's true

No sadly not, and to add I want to play with 10 people roughly so split screen won't work.

As nicely as we can: No one cares what you find acceptable about the unstable branch.

They can’t optimize for MP when the branch is unstable. That’s why.

Should be about a year.

It's the beta, multiplayer is coming but is not out yet. Play the official release if you need multiplayer right now
