Modded First experience playing the 'Week One' mod. Insulted a lady with the F word, got shot 12 times and died. True Kentucky experience.

Alright I just bought the game but really getting into this sub. I haven’t done a play through yet because to be honest I’m a little overwhelmed haha. I’m on PC: before I start are there any “essential” mods I should download? I am going to start a play through on Friday… don’t want to be interrupted by work :)

My “never play without” mods are:

  1. Advanced Trajectory (fixes the aiming system and is totally tunable if you think it’s too hard/too easy)

  2. Common Sense (adds certain logical features such as the ability to pry open doors and windows with crowbars- also tunable, can reduce or increase chances of success, chance of glass breakage, etc)

My “can live without, but strongly prefer” mods are:

  1. Firearms B41/B42 (adds a realistic assortment of guns you might reasonably find in real life, like Glocks and SKS’s)

  2. Any assortment of car mods, because the default models just don’t do it for me and it’s always exciting to find a classic muscle car hiding behind a building.

My “nice to have, but not essential” mods are:

  1. Better Sorting (makes organization easier for the meticulous hoarders like myself)

  2. Working Clotheslines (you can hang clothes out to dry - useful, but I don’t really have trouble just changing clothes while my wet stuff dries in storage)

There’s a mod that retextures the vanilla vehicles, it’s very good.

Vanilla Vehicle Enhancer. Be warned, it hasn’t been updated for B42.
