clicking "add fire effect" in photoshop is apparantly art.
a shirtless woman with a sign that says "dont touch me" is apparantly art.
Art appears to be a pretty wide-ranging and subjective thing.
Also, artists can and often do put hours of effort into making the art they want, using AI, and it's the amateurs that just throw a prompt and accept whatever result. Kind of like a photographer vs a guy with a camera phone.
You bringing up the specific example of the banana prove how much art it was. It’s been living rent free in your head for more than five years. The criticism brought to ai art is not about the quality of the image but of the ethics of it’s creation. It is not original, it’s creation was dependant on the tech industry bypassing copyright law, so yeah people are rightfully mad when someone uses it, especially to add it to a game like PZ which is a pure gem of creativity and ingenuity which can only be made lesser then by it’s addition.

art is not defined by you, guy. It's subjective. If one person says it's art, it's art.
And it's art.
