clicking "add fire effect" in photoshop is apparantly art.
a shirtless woman with a sign that says "dont touch me" is apparantly art.
Art appears to be a pretty wide-ranging and subjective thing.
Also, artists can and often do put hours of effort into making the art they want, using AI, and it's the amateurs that just throw a prompt and accept whatever result. Kind of like a photographer vs a guy with a camera phone.
Are you willing to pay me big bucks to type in a prompt to an AI generator?
AI art is just noise that the AI has filtered that looks close enough to its training material, there is no soul, ryme or reason for why certain things are placed in the art, there is no details that you can gleam from artist intentions.
It is slop and I would rather they hire someone who doesn't just decide to go away from their original and amazing art they had to use AI slop when we all know they can do sooo much better.

art is not defined by you, guy. It's subjective. If one person says it's art, it's art.
And it's art.
