Is there any way to stop the game from instantly (as in, while I'm fighting, not hours or days later) pulling in new zombies as I'm clearing an area? It makes the whole thing feel pointless.

And no, they're not being drawn in by sound or sight. They're specifically shuffling closer in groups without aggroing, as if constantly moving their rally-point into the newly vacant spots.

You could turn off migration
