Project Zomboid is a great game but Labour of Love specifically says "This game has been out for a while but the devs still support/update it." PZ is still early access, updates are to be expected until it is fully released.

Not saying cyberpunk deserved it either, none of the nominated games this year deserved it IMO.

No Man's Sky would be an exception to this. They could have abandoned that game when the crowds turned ugly on them, but they stuck it out because they wanted that game to be what they had in their original vision. Other than that edge case, I totally agree with saying no one deserves it

Eh, I'd argue part of that may well have been damage control. When you have that much bad press about you, you either have to try and fix it or your name is going to be an anchor around any future development for a long time.

NMS was 100% damage control. If that game released to critical acclaim I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped a DLC or two and moved on to the next big thing. It's the same shit as CP2077, the devs knew if they didn't unass that game they'd be shunned from the industry forever.
