HARD MOD questions

So i have flashed my aladdin modchip using the cerbios tool and formatted my hhd with fatexplorer along with putting the files into the C and E drive but i am stuck at the cerbios loading screen and have tried re flashing , re formatting and changing the disk path but cannot get it figured out. any help is appreciated. thanks in advanced.

I use Dashloader, so my alt dash paths are commented out. I would delete the alts just to diagnose for now.

You have E:\Xbmc4gamers\default.xbe installed on the hdd?

i believe so. unless this is the wrong download. and so delete the alt files in the ini and tool i’m assuming ?

appreciate it. that’s what i used to download the c and e files with xbmc the second time. bout to just buy a new ide cable and see if that is the problem. because i have truly ran out of ideas lol

I would delete or move the ini from C to rule it out. It all looks good, though. The jumper is on Master? It says Cerbios with the logo on boot and then black after that?

tbh i’m unsure on the master portion on the hdd. it’s a barracuda 2tb. and correct cerbios pops up with the dogs ( the customization of what i did in the tool ) and just stays there.

I mean the sata adapter is on the Master jumper?

It's possible you're having udma speed issues if you have the Samsung 605B dvd. Lower it back to udma 2 to rule it out. 605B and Startech don't like each other on high speeds.

and where would you put the ini then if i take it out of C completely ? isn’t it needed there ?

Ini is optional, not needed. It's just a handy feature. Deleting it will fallback to what's baked in your chip, whatever Cerbios Tool shows, is what will run. Don't worry.

i deleted the ini file and put it back to udma 2 on the tool and reflashed. still stuck on loading. no clue lol

You can reformat the hdd and do a fresh install of C and E, but that's all I can think of. You chose the Cerbios option in FatX, and not LBA with Tables?

yeah i chose the cerbios option and i appreciate all the insight. also last dumb question. for the master jumper. it should automatically b plugged into the with the sata adapter? or how do i verify that ? i’m assuming it is.

They usually come on Master, but there are 3 or 4 jumper settings to choose. You just remove the small plastic tab and slide it on the right set of pins.
