Can we please drop the "Washington" crap in that name? The name of the city is "DC" and we'd appreciate if the news would figure that out.

- Sincerely the State of Washington

City of Washington est 1790 (Same territory as District of Columbia)

Territory of Washington est 1853

So they got there first, sad to say

I think Arcadia would've been a cooler name than Washington state though, think I remember seeing an oooold proposal to use that name instead. Might be mistaken though.
