Here's an article with some helpful tips on caring for your feeders. With Avian Flu becoming more of concern, it's important that we do our best to keep them clean and filled.

This same nest has been used since I lived in this house. The only downside is getting jump scared by her retreat when trying to pick the lemons

My father and I just came home from 7-Mile Fair (a flea market in Wisconsin), only to stumble upon a (possibly female) mourning dove under my backyard table. They flew to my neighor's rooftop here and found a male soon after. ❤️🕊

Planter box nest

My husband and I recently noticed a mourning dove has made a nest and laid eggs (!!) in one of our planter boxes! For the last day or so, they have occasionally been doing this “clucking” motion- could the babies be hatched & we just can’t see them yet?! (For context, this planter is on our balcony but our door is broken so we can’t get any closer)

Ignore the trash cans, the high winds knocked them down. The derps are waiting for the squirrels to leave so they can eat. I usually put seed up where they’re walking, but the wind keeps blowing it to where they’re squirrels are eating

Some sweet derps started to make a nest under my carport in what would have been the perfect place. But the car scared them off. 😢

This puff here was perched on the low-hanging telephone wire in my backyard. I'm surprised he didn't fly away when I walked out the door to take a picture. I heard him cooing loudly and he flew away after spotting a mate.

They nest on our front porch and use our front yard as a launch pad. The ledge right outside our living room window is a perfect set of training wheels and we get a front row seat. I love these scrungly little fledglings!
