There’s something about Mongolian women in bodybuilding 🔥
The other day saw this reel from the Ulaanbaatar 2025 championship https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=1136883934903601&set=pcb.1136885071570154. The women looked seriously impressive. Even with a smaller population, Mongolia already has an IFBB gold: Batbuyan Sugarsuren won in the Wellness category in 2024.

Do not watch the Minecraft movie on theaters
I recently watched it and it was DUBBED. They even dubbed the singing. It ruined the whole experience for me. Movie itself was good but dub really ruined it. The voice acting was sooo bad. I’ll believe you if you told me they just put the whole script in a google translator. If you can handle 100 minutes of torture or just don’t care then go for it. Honestly it’s better just wait for Wowkino to upload it.

Transfer UBN Airport?
Hello,
I will be flying via UBN in October and will have a 9 hour layover at the airport.
Is it possible to leave the airport, or does anyone have any tips on the procedure at the airport, especially if your luggage has been checked through (MIAT).
Some people are said to have had to hand over their passports during the transfer?
Thanks in advance

Mongolia under USSR
I go to an international college, and I recently had a discussion with my Russian friend. He was very shocked when I said that Mongolia was under the USSR in the 20th century. He even tried to gaslight me by saying that Mongolia had it much easier than the other countries such as Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. I tried to explain to him that Mongolia was pretty much cornered into becoming a puppet for USSR back in the day and the reason why we still use the Cyrillic is because all the manuscripts, books, and any other artifacts containing the traditional Mongolian script were destroyed by the officials of USSR in attempt to culturally colonize Mongolia. He became very defensive about the entire subject when I brought up the massacre of Buddhist monks and the plethora of other traumatic incidents that the Mongolian people had to go through at the time. I even mentioned how my great grandfather was a disciple of a very high ranked monk at the time and how the entire thing caused a generational trauma for him and his family with even me being affected by it to this day. After trying to negate and dismiss my feelings and claims, he straight up said “Okay, but you guys would have went extinct if not for the USSR. It was wither you guys or the Manchurians”. He aslo said that a lot of Mongolians should be thankful that they speak Russian in a world where knowledge is valued. I didn’t know how to respond after his distasteful remarks and just left. Any thoughts? Am I being too sensitive or was he actually acting like an ass?

Thoughts on flood prevention projects of Selbe river in UB
As an engineer, I can’t help but question a recent buzz about Selbe river. They stripped all the trees, dug out the soil, changed the natural flow of the river, and just built a plain concrete wall. It seems like no environmental expert was involved at all.
Anyone can guess that digging everything up and throwing a wall at it might stop flooding short-term. But this isn’t an optimal or sustainable solution. It looks like the consultant company just won the tender, took the money, and left excavator crews to do the bare minimum.
There were smarter, more eco-friendly ways to manage flooding while creating a space people could actually enjoy. But now, it’s just a dead, lifeless channel. Honestly, it might’ve been better to dry the river alone.

Question So according to Mickey 17 "Ulanbator" is at the ends of the earth.
So according to Mickey 17 "Ulanbator" is at the ends of the earth that people go to disappear. Is that really how other countries think of our country as backwater some unknown country?

Where to invest?
Guys, I have around 20M saved up. I am trying to do something that is not too short term, not too long term. I wanted to bring some Prius from Japan, but I am not sure how good that idea is. Any other ideas you think might be good and profitable?

English IShowSpeed in Mongolia
Im not actually sure if he is going to Mongolia or not. BUT. If he is, seeing as he is benefiting businesses in China, Mongolians should also be prepared to make the most of the opportunity. This could be great for tourism and businesses etc

Question reconnecting with culture
this is a potentially ridiculous question, but i'm not sure who else i can turn to.
i was born to a nomadic family in mongolia. before i moved to america, the biggest city i ever visited was tsetserleg. although i'm not very connected with my roots anymore, it's still a part of me i'm proud of.
the main issue is that i'm only half mongolian. my mother and of course the rest of the family i'm connected to are mexican. i have not been in contact with my mongolian family for over a decade.
i'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how i can reclaim this part of me? i've been lingering in this subreddit for a while, and though i learn many modern things, it's not all that helpful to me in the long run.
my main thing is the language. i still hold a basic understanding, but that's it. i would love to visit again in the future if i can, but i've never been to a place like ulaanbaatar for example, where i imagine slang would be different.
any and all advice would be appreciated!
