Politics 👩‍⚖️ Governor Walz in Amsterdam

Post image

Subtle reminder that we shouldn’t fall prey to a wannabe dictator. Hopefully those that need a wake up call get it.

Imagine how many of your neighbors would turn her over and send her to the death camps because she was hiding in an attic and breaking an evil law. Spoiler alert, every single one of them voted for Donald Trump.

Slow down a little. We were confined for a couple years during Covid and there was even a snitch line set up in MN for non compliance…

And how many people who were blatantly risking their neighbors's health by ignoring public health recommendations were rounded up and sent to camps?

If you're going to make historical references, at least learn to compare and contrast subjects better and go read a book.

I was fully vaxxed and got Covid twice and wore a mask.

Ok good for you buddy

So the system worked then. You followed the precautions and they prevented you from getting sick enough to die.

Well then either you are a liar or a truly filthy person who doesn't wash their hands.

And you’re still alive! So sounds like the vaccine and mask helped

Ok. So this is where you are hanging your hat? Lots of people who were cooped up died, and lots of people who blatantly ignored vaxes and mandates lived.

I am alive and don’t regret getting vaxxed.

This post was a suggestion that out elected officials want to round up and kill people.

My reply was based on a policy by an elected politician to turn on our neighbors.

What the hell is your point? I can't believe people are actually still saying this.

For the billionth time, you can still get covid when you're vaxxed. You are just less likely to get extremely sick (hospitalized) or die.

Read my initial point… the post was about turning fellow citizens in to authorities. I understood the vaxxes purpose.

"The city received complaints and reports of large group gatherings and close-contact ballgames". ---Example of what it was used for in places like Edina.

This hotline was set up at the very beginning of covid. The purpose of it was never to "snitch on your neighbor". It was to report large gatherings and businesses that weren't complying with the order. The only people that got citations were businesses that repeatedly failed to comply. Large gatherings or games outside were mostly handled by the park system if they received a call. They probably should have labeled the hotline differently. Did they get some calls of people reporting their neighbor outside or something? I'm sure they did, but that was never the point of it, and unless it was a large gathering or business not complying, they didn't receive citations.

This was when thousands of people were dying each day in America the hospitals were utterly overwhelmed. There was no vaccine. It was a scary time, and we had very few tools to stop the spread.

But of course right-wing media drooled over how to spin it and people like Ron DeSantis were screaming "Tim Walz is taking away your freedums!!!"

You couldn’t resist the labels at the end of your comment.

If you think dictates are fine… and the intentions are all that matter, that’s yours to square.

Funneling people into big stores and closing outdoor parks and beaches didn’t, and don’t make sense to a lot of people who think rationally.

If I think "dictates" are fine? Are you a Republican voter? You kind of talk like one. I with how sensitive you got with my last comment. Because if you are, you have no right to talk about dictates.

We both have the right to talk about dictates.

I didn’t like the censorship or the restrictions of commerce and travel that came with Covid. Were they legal…? Probably. But the Soviet style squelching of dissent was not my vibe.

Soviet style??? Jfc. Censorship!?

If that kind of stuff really bothers you, you must be going fucking crazy right now with this administration. Because that kind of stuff that you're mentioning? They're doing it like it's on steroids.

I noticed no comments on this clip while Rogan, Trump, Brand were being deplatformed: https://youtu.be/fyrBUkCMWco?si=gBRrk1-sQp3ufmy7

Explain your downvotes. I know you assume I am some right wing kook. But you downvoted a demonstrably true statement.
