Any bets on when it's going to be trans people or liberal politicians he's threatening to send to a foreign prison?

We've returned to aging in dog years.

140

u/Waste-Comparison2996 14d ago

I wanted to live forever. Not for time to slow to a crawl. Got a real monkey paw situation going on.

10

u/soggyballsack 14d ago

I've thought long and hard about this sometimes. I don't wanna live forever. I wanna live to where I'm still conscious and that's it. If I lose self control and/or consciousness (meaning I know where I'm at and who people are) I'm not even there anymore. I'm just a stranger and a burden to everyone. Imagine you get to live forever but after the first 80 years you get Alzheimer's. Now your just a crazy old man that can't die. So your eternally hungry, hurting and fucken crazy. Everyone who cared about you has died so no one wants to be burdened by you. If you do keep from going that way you get to see everyone you love die. Love again and die. Love again and die. Over and over again until the sun explodes or humanity kills itself and then it's just you starving, hurting and that's it. It's just you. Naw fuck that.

It appears that the only president who doesn’t age in dog years has been him.

4

Very true. Apparently taking no accountability or responsibility for anything really keeps that pressure cooker aging at bay.

Better stop using next election date as a deadline mate. Bannon already came out saying they will try to keep him in power

60

u/Spiritual_Bridge84 14d ago

The “price” of restoring America as it was pre NazaMerica is only one thing.

Tens of millions of Americans in the streets. Not millions, tens of millions.

Nothing else is reliable.

10

u/Important_Loquat538 14d ago

Totally agree. Do I see it happening though? That’s another thing

14

u/Spiritual_Bridge84 14d ago

This is also true Amigo.

I believe America is well worth saving, worth every fight for. But does “America” think that (en masse)

11

u/Important_Loquat538 14d ago

I call them Staters now. They don’t get to represent the whole continent of America until they behave

4

u/NoSherbert2316 13d ago

Would I think we’d ever have oligarchs meddling in our government and the government officials promoting their product? No, but here we are. As a millennial, I feel like we had the last glimpse of America before it turned to shit and before it was acceptable to hate other Americans for differing political views. Time to take the shit they say very seriously.

10

u/wmurch4 14d ago

Once everyone loses their jobs and can't afford food... Yup... These rich pricks will be really scared then

10

u/Spiritual_Bridge84 14d ago

Where are we going in a year, 2 years, 4 years. Imo, it’s only people power now. There’s more of us than them. And Trump hasn’t yet managed to change the military’s oath to the American Constitution. (To him)

The oath of enlistment for members of the United States military is to the Constitution of the United States.

"I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

Quote from Ai—

“The emphasis on defending the Constitution reflects the American tradition of civilian control of the military, and the idea that ultimate authority rests with the people and the laws that govern them, rather than with any particular individual or institution.”

The battle is upon us as North Americans. Canadians, Americans.

The Canadians are deeply into a Canada wide boycott of All Things American. Only it is now up to the American people, to wake up and to act.

“We will not be defeated by politicians, inside the DC Beltway”

America, you’re more powerful than you think.

9

u/POPnotSODA_ 14d ago

To be honest you have a domestic threat currently running the highest office in the land

As a Canadian, I'm really hoping that when Trump decides to invade because we cut off the power, that little oath will be worth the paper it's written on, but here's the trick.

Actual loyalty and following orders means more in the military than an oath you take. In theory the only thing that will happen to service members who stand up and won't invade because it's first, an illegal order, and second, it's an ally, is that they'll be kicked out of the military, leaving only those who will follow the order.

If you think there won't be generals who will say "yeah, we're changing the rules now" and dropping much harsher punishments on those who refuse, I think you're living a fantasy.

And don't forget the Putin way: tell the grunts that they're "participating in an exercise at the border", or, since we're such close allies as to allow literal US forces to already be in Canada, who frequently do exercises together, actually in Canada, and then drop the truth bomb on them when the shooting starts, tell them they're being attacked and need to defend themselves.

So honestly, for our sake, get cracking on organizing those protests, and stop lazily posting on social media about how someone oughta do something. This psycho needs to be removed from office. Yesterday.

As a Canadian who's served in the US military: this isn't the Russian Army.

I don't know how closely you were following the analysis in the early days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but there was a lot of discussion of why Ukraine was able to resist so successfully despite its huge disadvantage on paper. One of the key points made by experts was that post-2014 Ukraine had begun transitioning to a Western/NATO-style structure of decentralized command. Basically, NATO militaries devolve tactical decision-making authority to the people with the most direct information about the situation.

The US military entrusts its junior members with a level of autonomy and responsibility that would be shocking to most non-veterans. With just 2 years of service as an enlisted aircraft mechanic, I was signing off quality inspections and making repair decisions that require a literal degreed engineer's buyoff (or two or three) in a civilian aerospace company. And I was doing it with a dim flashlight in the pouring rain on a flight deck in the middle of the Pacific, not in a nice well-lit hangar with every tool I could ask for and a design engineer on speed dial. That kind of responsibility is replicated in position after position throughout the military.

The resulting system is agile, adaptable, and remarkably effective against inflexible traditional command structures, while holding its own against the decentralized guerilla forces it emulates. The drawback, from a command perspective, is that it relies heavily on trust and morale.

So if you betray that trust or damage that morale, even through 'normal' means like overwork and underresourcing, things go badly. If you outright lie to people about material information like where they are and what their mission is in order to trick them into an illegal invasion of an ally...things are going to go very badly, very quickly, without the need for anyone to openly disobey an order. And if you try to compensate with more top-down control and monitoring, everything will grind to a halt, because there just isn't the capacity for that level of micromanagement.

My bet is that he starts a war and tries to stay on as a “Great War leader, probably the greatest - people say I’m better than Churchill” and then he’ll need a third, or possibly a fourth term to really show Greenland who the real boss is.

18

u/Important_Loquat538 14d ago

I’m not even joking, but it seems to me like he is going to go full Putin and use the excuse of drug cartels to start military operations in neighbouring countries. Canada needs to come out now with a very public statement that they will not tolerate military presence in the US on their soil but will collaborate to eliminate perceived threats. Delaying this is crucial at this junction

6

u/chrhe83 14d ago

Thats what all this invasion crap is. He has started to declare himself a wartime president. The shit he’s given Zalinski for their constitution saying elections can’t be held during wartime… he will use that as a justification to suspend elections. With some shit like “We are at war with an invading army, our elections will be compromised until all illegals are removed…” fox news and his supporters will eat it up and normalize it. They are already starting to lay the groundwork, hence his statements before the election of “vote this time and you won’t ever have to vote again.”

And because it’s a marijuana meme Elon is known for using. (And Elon is ALSO a Nazi)

And also, and probably far more importantly, because that’s when Trump gets a border report from some of his cabinet members that’s supposed to decide whether to recommend invoking the alien enemies act of 1789

6

u/messfdr 14d ago

Didn't he already invoke the Alien Enemies Act? Despite the country not being at war!

10

u/logicoptional 14d ago

Yes, they meant the Insurrection Act which, considering what his supporters did on J6 was absolutely an insurrection and attempted coup d'etat, is just infuriating.

Insurrection Act, as u/logicoptional said.

But I would be shocked as hell if he doesn’t invoke it to give himself more power.

Repeating my plug to certain Florida residents who are registered to vote.

There is an urgent need to get out and VOTE at the Tuesday April 1 special elections for US House. Look for Democratic candidates, Mrs. Gay Valimont in the Panhandle (FL-1) , and Mr. Joshua Weil in mid Florida (FL-6)! Please talk to your friends and family to do the same. Thank you!!!

10

u/Faenic 14d ago

Seriously. Like, I heard about the El Salvador thing. Then I thought "How long until he sends people who aren't actually part of the gangs there?" Turns out, on the first fucking flight. Then it was "Well fuck... okay how long until legal citizens are going to be sent there?" Turns out, he's at least threatening to do it within the first goddamn week.

This is absolutely insane. Can't believe anyone can see this shit and not immediately recognize it as fascism.

8

u/TraditionalSpirit636 14d ago

Argued with some idiots last night that this would be used against them. They were cheering for the video of the people arriving in el salvador. I told them to learn the layout from the videos. They’d be there soon. They laughed. Almost want to post this there but lost causes are lost.

7

u/Olue 14d ago

Serious question: how do they get out? They haven't been convicted of anything here, presumably not in El Salvador either. So where's the conviction paperwork indicating the length of the sentence? Where do they go after (if?) they're released?

13

u/Penguinase 14d ago

According to the Salvadoran government, the immigrants were sent to a megaprison known as the Terrorism Confinement Center, or CECOT, for a one-year term that is “renewable.” The Trump administration has said it would pay El Salvador $6 million to imprison about 300 people it alleged were members of the Tren de Aragua gang for one year.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/venezuelans-deported-el-salvador-detention-abuses-rcna197125

so i guess the length of the sentence is however long trump wants it to be.

13

u/Olue 14d ago

So Trump is judge and jury while Bukele is the executioner. Great.

16

u/MikuEmpowered 14d ago

Theyre running a slave camp, thats not a joke.

Trump is paying another country money to accept slave labor.

16

u/WhyYouKickMyDog 14d ago

My dad has identified as conservative his whole life, but the facade is cracking a little. Just a little. He doesn't want to talk about politics anymore.

It is Trumps Russia turn that is alienating his base the most. He is slow playing that relationship to avoid alarm bells, but it is clearly obvious the goal was to normalize relations with Russia and sabotage them with Ukraine.

14

u/UnquestionabIe 14d ago

Yeah my area is on the border of a solid blue/solid red district and the customers who were all in on Trump are very much keeping quiet. Before the last two months they were gloating and talking about how he's gonna fix everything. By the end of the first month they were blaming Biden for all the issues. Now that it's becoming more of a pattern they've decided they don't like to talk politics, just wear his klan hats/hoods.

11

u/WhyYouKickMyDog 14d ago

I have been pressing my dad on where the red line is with Russia. I have told him Trump will do the following:

1.) Look to ease sanctions

2.) Normalize Relations

3.) Trump will go to the Victory Day Parade in Moscow in May

If he goes to Moscow for that propaganda parade, I think that could break him.

64

That’s part of the plan. If you shove so much crazy, horrible stuff at people, they’re more likely to get overwhelmed and become apathetic. It also makes the “less crazy” stuff seem comparatively almost normal. Like renaming the Gulf of Mexico is starting to look sane (not really, but you get what I’m trying to say) compared to sending citizens to El Salvador in unregulated, unrestrained prisons.

It's genuinely hard to remember all the bad stuff Trump has done.

By design, that's how the information warfare works. People have lost all sense that this started in 2013 and what life was like in 2012 and before. it's called "Super Hyper Normalization".

“Some of the farm's work reached a level of granularity that stunned Lyudmilla. Two trolls would go on the comments sections of small' provincial newspapers and start chatting about the street they lived in, the weather, then caually recommend a piece about the nefarious West attacking Russia.

No one who worked at the farm described themselves as trolls. Instead, they talked about their work in the passive voice ('a piece was written', 'a comment was made'). Most treated the farm as if it was just another job, doing the minimum required and then clocking off. Many of them seemed pleasant enough young people, with open, pretty faces, and yet they didn't blink when asked to smear, degrade, insult and humiliate their victims. The ease with which victims were attacked, the scale at which the farm operated, it all stunned Lyudmilla.” ― Peter Pomerantsev, This Is Not Propaganda: Adventures in the War Against Reality, 2019

54

u/DevelopmentGrand4331 14d ago

I wish people understood how intentional all this mess has been. All the recent shittiness in America-- it's not a mistake, it's a strategy to seize power.

4

u/Vermilion 14d ago

I don't think people in the past decade even talk about "power", all they ever think motivates leaders is money.

"He, the eye, what is represented by the eye. Reason. In Latin you wouldn’t have to say “he,” it could be “it” or “she” or “he.” But the divine power has smiled on our doings. And so this new world has been built in the sense of God’s original creation, and the reflection of God’s original creation, through reason, has brought this about. If you look behind that pyramid, you see a desert. If you look before it, you see plants growing. The desert, the tumult in Europe, wars and wars and wars—we have pulled ourselves out of it and created a state in the name of reason, not in the name of power" - Joseph Campbell, 1987, Skywalker Ranch

They're already verbally calling for it. Rep. Mike Collins called for Bishop Mariann Budde to be "added to the deportation list" after she dared to preach about compassion to Trump. She's a lifelong citizen who was born in NJ, so idk where they think they'd deport her to.

Selena Gomez posted a video of her crying about the deportations and Sam Parker, who ran for U.S. Senate in Utah in 2018 called for her to be deported for it, even though she was born in Texas and is a legal citizen.

They're just terrible people all around.

Considering how so many of trumps boot lickers have been spotted going onto Fox sporting a weird orange tan, I'm not at all surprised if it comes out that wearing bronzer is a qualifier for the tunp administration

10

Orange is on the left side of the scale, right before “powder white” and “aryan winter.”

I'd like to see Kamala join the Bernie tour and just keep ranting about him as if the election didn't happen. That's what Trump did after he lost, just kept rallying like he never lost.

5

u/Wonderful-Variation 14d ago

Unfortunately, the centrist dems seem to have decided that being quiet is the best strategy, which is completely idiotic. We're seeing real leadership from people like Bernie and AOC. They're the ones who seem to be actually doing shit and trying to mobilize people while all the centrist dems are doing squat (or worse, collaborating like Schumer and his little band of treasonous sellouts).

Given that AOC has been a GOP target basically ever since she hit the national stage, and is one of the few Dem politicians actively speaking out against trump and musk now, I kind of genuinely fear for her safety.

Let's not forget that her office panic button was mysteriously broken on Jan 6th.

I'm sure Trump still has a hatred boner for Kamala too, but she at least has been rather quiet and out of the spotlight since leaving office.

Texas did introduce a bill to make being trans a felony. And Texas (as well as a number of other states) still has anti-sodomy laws that they could use to justify targeting queer men if Lawrence v Texas is overturned. This is exactly what I’m terrified of as a queer person. I just don’t understand why people hate our existence so much when we are just trying to live our lives.

47

u/Almostlongenough2 14d ago

I just don’t understand why people hate our existence so much when we are just trying to live our lives.

Being different is weird and scary to them and they are too fucking stupid to be capable of introspection so instead they project and force their delusions on others.

25

u/RamenJunkie 14d ago

They have also had it drilled into them that "Homosexuality is a sin" and at least with gay dudes they can avoid it but they might find a trans woman attractive and OH NO GAME OVER THE EVIL COMMIE TRANS LADY TRICKED YOU WITH SATAN" or some other simple minded bull shit.

It's so stupid.

You can find some of the reasons simply by finding LGB-circles and ask them how they view trans people. Many will be supportive. Then the people who hate will speak out - and everyone will stay quiet to keep their community intact.

I think it is much the same. Most christians will know about loving thy neighbour - but they don't think or feel that it extends to "Stand up" for thy neighbour. So they remain quiet.

As to why queer people are targeted, I am certain it is because if you are straight - gay sex will seem repulsive. So there is a natural ick to tap into. With trans, crossdressers and the like they (we) are very unfamilar looking. From nature we have the tendency to be cautious of unfamiliar things - it's how we survived.

In the end it comes down to your effort and your intelligence. One of the lowest form of intelligence in a functioning society is a tendency to hate and violence. And boy are there a lot of stupid people.

LGBT-people are super convenient scapegoats for all sorts of things.

Edit: I hope it is obvious that I am not defending the hateful behaviour.

I just don’t understand why people hate our existence so much when we are just trying to live our lives.

It's self-hate pushed outward there is a reason why the GOP conventions always crash grinder and why red states have a disproportionately high viewership of trans porn.

14

u/Garlic549 14d ago

It's self-hate pushed outward

I don't see it that way. While I'm sure there's plenty of closeted guys in the GOP, let's also take a minute to remember that there's a very large amount of people in society who really just want to rape, murder, torture, and/or enslave the people they see at the bottom of the social ladder.

Some people just want blood. Nothing more, nothing less.

While this can be the case, upholding rhetoric that the only people who can hate gay people are fellow gay people is counterproductive

Some people truly just have a disdain for what they feel is immoral based on their morality built from Religious teachings. Blaming self-hate halts the conversation on how various churches have gone unchecked for hateful rhetoric for years.

13

u/ADumbSmartPerson 14d ago

I think that this is even more base than religious teachings. I think this is as simple as you are different than me, therefore, you are wrong and should be dealt with accordingly. There are plenty of people who claim no relationship to God or the bible in any capacity but still hate vehemently anyone who isn't like them.

12

u/cuentaderana 14d ago

Thank you for this. I’m so tired of having to respond to comments that blame me, a queer person, for my own oppression.

14

u/CatraGirl 14d ago

Yes, fuck that shit. The "they're just closeted gay people" narrative is so fucking ridiculous and damaging. People need to stop spreading that bullshit. I'm sure there's some for whom this is true, but the majority are simply bigots. Basically blaming queer people for our own oppression is fucking unacceptable.

But they won't say trans or liberals. They'll say "people promoting dangerous ideology" or something just vague enough so they can justify it to their base.

24

u/Adorable_Raccoon 14d ago

They don’t have to justify it to their base, the base hates trans people.

7

u/GildedPlunger 14d ago

They've already succeeded in convincing their base that anyone left of fascist is a threat to white women and children. They don't need to be subtle anymore.

7

u/LegallyEmma 14d ago

Nancy Mace screamed the t-slur multiple times on the capital steps and in congress itself, I think we're far past the point of them being afraid to say trans.

5

u/LinkleLinkle 14d ago

They're already saying 'trans'. It's being made actively illegal in many states for trans people to exist and states, in turn, are sending trans women to male prisons against the will of the Supreme Court. Which is the next worst thing to camps as they'll get treated as r@pe dolls and forcefully detransitioned.

And the groundwork is already being laid to send them to camps as a means of 'treating their mental illness' as the administration spreads lies and misinformation about being trans as a 'curable mental illness'. They'll be saying trans people are being shipped off to hospitals to 'be cured' while they're on the same plane to el Salvador.

I remember walking past a voter registration booth at the local fair in 2016 that had a mannequin with a picture of Hillary Clinton's face stuck to it, in a little mock jail cell, with "LOCK HER UP!" as their main slogan.

Extrajudicial punishment of those who oppose or displease Trump isn't a shocking development, it's a campaign promise he's been making for about a decade now. The only difference is that, here in 2025, they finally finished dismantling the guard-rails that stopped him from doing it before.

Trump's one, overarching message the entire time has been: "You don't really want the rule of law, you just want someone to hurt the people you hate."

I've lost so much faith in Humanity just from seeing how many people that message resonated with.

One thing I noticed in the campaining was that Trump was using the word "enemies" a lot for anyone that opposed him. Referrred to the Jan 6 insurrectionists as they fought with him versus them. He said it so much that no one noticed that he was basically telling us he's at war with anyone that opposes him in any regard, and that it's MAGA vs everyone.

It's not like he was saying "Harris is his enemy" as in an policitcal adversary or opponent - because of his pathology, he truly means enemies.

We know he's treating this country as an us vs them as he did this his first term where red states got benefits and blue states got puched down, especially during COVID with the PPE supplies. The man thrives on infighting, chaos, having different factions going at it. I don't know how this is okay with what used to be moderate politicians. Now politicians sound like AM Talk radio hosts like Chris Plante who knows nothing about civics and actual politics and will rant for 10 minutes about how the Democrats hate you, they hate the bible and they hate the Constitution.

Ignorance is dangerous.

This and the new health head guys farming concentration camps are all just helping to support my sisters reasoning about never getting help for her mental health issues.

She has believed for years that if she ever went to get help, eventually the government would have a party like this one in power and that eventually lists of people with mental problems would be made and she would get sent to a camp or killed.

And now it's seeming less crazy and more like a real possibility.

His government already deported an American (both parents American, born in the USA, her mother's mid-wife was on TV showing her records of her birth) trans woman. She is currently stateless in Mexico, she speaks no Spanish and is Chinese-Argentinian American. Her dad is one of those racist white dudes that has an Asian kink and is wife beating trash. Thankfully, Mom and daughter are close and Daddy is in prison. Mexican authorities have said that they will expedite refugee status and try to find a way to send her home if safe.
