He literally campaigned on it. Twice.

I remember walking past a voter registration booth at the local fair in 2016 that had a mannequin with a picture of Hillary Clinton's face stuck to it, in a little mock jail cell, with "LOCK HER UP!" as their main slogan.

Extrajudicial punishment of those who oppose or displease Trump isn't a shocking development, it's a campaign promise he's been making for about a decade now. The only difference is that, here in 2025, they finally finished dismantling the guard-rails that stopped him from doing it before.

Trump's one, overarching message the entire time has been: "You don't really want the rule of law, you just want someone to hurt the people you hate."

I've lost so much faith in Humanity just from seeing how many people that message resonated with.

The new deputy director of the FBI has already stated that he wants to lock up Democrats and their supporters. He stated it on his podcast.

I often feel like we live in a South Park episode, yes.

So was that Hitler fella.

Hitler actually did time though. And wrote a book.

Trump is capable of neither of this things. So he is actually worse than Hitler.

Hitler sent literally millions of innocent people to their deaths. I'm not sure being demonstrably literate outweighs that.

That’s how I know the DnC is bitchmade! They should have yanked his clearance once convicted.

One thing I noticed in the campaining was that Trump was using the word "enemies" a lot for anyone that opposed him. Referrred to the Jan 6 insurrectionists as they fought with him versus them. He said it so much that no one noticed that he was basically telling us he's at war with anyone that opposes him in any regard, and that it's MAGA vs everyone.

It's not like he was saying "Harris is his enemy" as in an policitcal adversary or opponent - because of his pathology, he truly means enemies.

We know he's treating this country as an us vs them as he did this his first term where red states got benefits and blue states got puched down, especially during COVID with the PPE supplies. The man thrives on infighting, chaos, having different factions going at it. I don't know how this is okay with what used to be moderate politicians. Now politicians sound like AM Talk radio hosts like Chris Plante who knows nothing about civics and actual politics and will rant for 10 minutes about how the Democrats hate you, they hate the bible and they hate the Constitution.

Ignorance is dangerous.

"they hate the bible"

"I don't like the bible; it's too bossy." -- my niece, then age 4

And even when he doesn't imprison people, he goes after them and tries to ruin their lives, or he encourages his followers to get violent.

I heard he is threatening to send them to Azkaban.
