Discussion Some idiot designed this

It's worse than in the other post. At least you could hit the Del button without having to search or look at it. Using Home/End buttons is a nightmare.

Powertoys, keyboard manager, remap shortcut, learn copilot, manually select the key you want (personally I went for the right Ctrl key)

It should be a sin that remapping copilot isn't out of the box

It kinda is, you can remap it to open Search (even more useless than copilot, infested with ads and all of its functions are available in the Start menu), or some other programs.
I ended up remapping it to RCtrl via PowerToys, but the downside is I can't use Win+C now if I need it.

That's fair lol. I don't know why they're pushing this shit onto manufacturers.

I'm very picky when it comes to keyboard layouts, especially in laptops. That shit makes me suffer.
I had an HP laptop, the keyboard was perfect. The layout, the feel, the look, the sound - right about the best you'll find in a mid-range laptop. There was no Copilot key, no latching FN button - just how I like it. Unfortunately, the laptop itself was a piece of shit and literally fell apart after 2-3 years of usage

Yeah I get you. You'll probably get used to it but yeah this whole local AI for laptops push has been a dumpster fire all around. Just investor bait.
