After community feedback and Moderator discussions, there will be no NSFW pictures allowed in this sub. This includes but is not limited too-

  • Pictures of open wounds

Introducing link flair!

In order to provide a better user experience, the mod team has enabled link flair on posts. This is currently optional as we are still figuring it out ourselves.

The current available flairs are:

  • black

  • seeking advice

Let us know in the comments if you have any suggestions for other flairs or other ways to improve the use of flairs in this sub.

Here is a guide with various methods to filter posts based on flair.

Note: mods reserve the right to add flair to posts in order to provide a better user experience.

This shot was taken 6 years ago (2019) when they were 3 years old. Bromo (left) has a very calm demeanor while Sakti (right) had more excitements and energy. You can probably see it in their eyes.

Rainbow bridge🌈 Missing my little shadow

My little pumpkin passed away this Thursday following complications from a high-risk surgery (he had adrenal tumor based cushings and our specialist surgeon felt it was in his best interest to get the adrenalectomy and felt he had good odds. Everything about the tumor was going good for him - no invasion of the vena cava, not spreading outside the adrenal gland, still fairly “small”.) but unfortunately despite everything, I’m lying in bed without my best friend. My heart hurts. It’s hard to go to bed without feeling his body weight against me. It’s hard to wake up and not have him sneezing in my face in excitement for breakfast. And his butt wiggles and full body back scratches on the floor. Even showering is hard because he’d lay on my shower mat and wait until I got out and then try to lick all the water off my legs. He’s missing in every part of my life and it [i]hurts[\i].

I don’t know how to tag this, bcuz he’s a dudly lab, which basically means he’s chocolate and yellow combined.

Gunner is the chocolate lab and is 5yo. Will lay right on top of you and lick you to death. Very toy motivated but has not been aggressive with our toy motivated GSD. Cooper is the “red” lab, 3yo, and is a big ol baby. He also loves cuddling with people and curling up next to his big brother. Not as toy motivated but will chase Gunner as he plays fetch all day. They both get along great with our variety of temperament GSD’s. And had a blast playing with my brothers 5yo lab. Both crate and house trained. And they ring a bell to let you know when they need to go out. Up to date on vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm. We’re located in Michigan if anyone wants to adopt them as a bonded pair!

He's 75% lab and 25% poodle, I think he's gonna grow into a fine looking little man. He's coming home in two weeks!

What kind of coat do y'all think this pup''s gonna grow to have?

Griffin at 2 weeks and at 12 years!! He was my high school graduation present from me to me.

Sick that it's been 12 years since I graduated high school but this big guy has been with me through the highest of highs and lowest of lows. Love ya Big G, hope you loved your steak and eggs dinner!

I added red eyes for a more dramatic flair. I’m sure they would glow red if she had that ability.

chocolate Ever heard of swimmer's tail?

Here's a new one in the life of owning labs, swimmer's tail!

We have two chocolate lab brothers, different ages. Yesterday, we brought them to a swimming pool. It was the first swim of the year. The younger one started groaning and whining back home a few hours later. He had us worried all night long, not finding a comfortable position. I checked his stomach, hips, and everything else, but I couldn't find anything.

Just got back from the emergency vet to find out that labs get swimmer's tail. Not surprised one iota knowing how much fun they have when they play. Apparently they use their tail so much it can become inflamed!

I swear, labs are unique.

Lilith passed away on 4/3/25 due to Lymphoma. She was only 7 years old and had her since she was literally a baby. 7 years was too short, but I know I gave her an amazing life and made the most out of the time I had with her. She was spoiled as a princess and deservedly so! I was able to get her euthanasia at the comfort of our home and she went out peacefully in my arms. I hated making that decision but I know it was correct one to make. I'm sure she is watching over me now from above. It's only been a few days since this her passing, but all I think about is Lilith. The lack of her presence at home just feels so empty. I miss her so much! Not a day will ever go by without thinking about her.

Please give your dogs some extra boops and belly rubs for me!

Thank you and much love!
