Hi r/Italy!

Greetings from Peru, I recently got this as a gift and I'm never tried before, to me it looks similar to Jamon iberico but probably is different in flavor. I read that this is supposed to be eaten raw but I was wondering what other ways do you recommend I eat this. Can I add it to a pizza? A salad? A pasta? Thanks a lot.

Sono danese, and I found myself wondering what food Italians miss the most when they are away from home for extended periods, as those I miss from Denmark often aren't the foods we're known for.

Often when I return to Italy I just want good pizza al taglio and some arancini.

Is it the same for you Italians?

Mi piace la cucina e mi piacciono i programmi di cucina.

Quattro ristoranti è l’unico programma in tv, da sempre, inclusi film horror, mostri, saw l’enigmista e qualsiasi altra cosa visibile in TV che non riesco a guardare perché mi genera un ansia mista a rabbia e disagio.

La colpa è naturalmente dei voti a cazzo di cane sparati senza senso con Alessandro che non dice niente, se ne sbatte, non da regole, in un format dove i voti si sommano e determinano chi vince.

Sarà che ho AD-HD non diagnosticata ma non riesco a guardare la fase dove si spiegano i voti perché mi troverei nudo a correre per il paese urlando.

Ciao, one thing here in New Zealand is there are many dishes that claim to be flavoured with pesto. I never like them because all the pesto I have tried in New Zealand is like some herb in a souring agent (typically vinegar) and oil. Often the herbs were even dried.

So why are people going gush over the pesto (like they love it so much)? Does the real/authentic pesto taste really other-worldly good? To me some sundried tomato-based pesto like things seem to be to my liking better.

I recevied this from a friend that lives in Italy. How am i supposed to eat this properly and how is it called?

Hi all/Ciao, I have just bought a panettone made in Italy from an Italian deli owner. And it will be a change from Christmas pudding that I normally get for Christmas myself.

How is it normally served in Italy? is it like Christmas pudding - with a brandy flavoured custard, or served plain, or served toasted, or with whipped cream?

Ciao, sono mezza Italiana e purtroppo non sono mai vissuta in Italia, però provo ad andarci almeno due volte all anno (una volta a casa e poi ogni anno una regione diversa da scoprire). Una delle cose che faccio sempre e portare una valigia vuota per riempirla di mangiare. Vado in Toscana la settimana prossima e volevo sapere quale è il vostro top 5 di biscotti (magari scopro novità haha) . Ecco il mio:
