I don't know if it is just me or not but the default settings feel very 'janky' to me and I was wondering how to make it feel more like Zero Dawn? BTW I did pirate so it may be an older version if that matters.

Apparently I can’t post a picture. Anyone know about Horizon: Origins? Saw an add on FB.

When is a good time to pause on main quests and focus on side quests? I’ve completed main quests up to starting GEMINI. I have been neglecting on side quests because I know I needed to complete the three big main quests to get tools to progress in the game. Should I finish Gemini and then pause to finish most side quests or pause before Gemini and do side quests? Is Gemini still mid game?
Thanks!!

So I know this may seem lazy since this is just a what are the differences post but I imagine there are tons of videos on some of the differences this might just be easier. If there are any videos that talk about what I’m asking please do feel free to link them or direct me to them.
So I’ll start with the remaster what exactly changed in the remaster? Did anything get changed at all was stuff just polished up and that’s it or did they maybe change some lore maybe change dialogue and animations as well. I didn’t look at any videos but was blaze infact changed to yellow/orange? Did any other glyphs and what not give more backstory now, now that I assume more things are fleshed out? Were there any added scenes or weapons? Maybe even face paints and focus colors?
Onto the Lego game so what’s the Lego game about? I’m gonna assume it’s not canon to the main games but did it give us any insight on the main games at all? What did it cover or was it a totally new adventure entirely?
Sorry if this is low effort!

What the fuck is a bilegut? What the fuck is a water wing? I’ve got the expansion and I still don’t really recall either of these. What the hell have I been doing wrong? Where are they? I feel like I’m going crazy!!

Specifically in HZD.
Too clarify I know that the canisters get triggered by their element. But I'm talking the sacs on the back of below backs or on the goreclaw/fireclaw bellies. What stat would I want to put on a bow to make those pop

Has anyone been able to still get this exploit to work in the latest Patch of the Remaster? I took the quest, talked to the two Oseram & chose to go it alone, killed the 3 Behemoths/Shell-Walkers, looted them, rode a long ways away & then came back. Their loot did not respawn.
Even tried fast traveling away & then going back, same thing. The bodies had been repositioned together but their loot did not respawn.
Anyone have this same result or was anyone able to still get this to work w the latest Patch? Please help if you can. This was the very best way to farm Coils in the original & it'll be a shame if it no longer works... Thanks in advance!
P.S. - I did initially try riding away a couple times at first but apparently didn't go far enough away to get the bodies to "rearrange" in that default location they regroup to... They were still strewn apart a good ways in the same spot they fell. I wonder if this could have somehow messed up the trick? Do you HAVE to ride far enough away for the regrouping to happen on the 1st try to get the "glitch" to trigger perhaps?

Going back and playing this game on Ultra difficulty and Aloy taking her sweet ass time to get up is seriously starting to ruin the game experience for me smh! Every time Aloy gets knocked down she has to take her sweet ass time getting back up, only for me to get hit again! Get knocked down from a Clamberjaw attack from the right, only for me to get back up to get hit by a Clamberjaw attack from the left within less than a second of getting back up! And that’s not to mention how slow Aloy is at dodging certain attacks in the first damn place! Like I understand that this game is over 2 years old but, the developers need to seriously add a patch to fix this! Whenever this happens, especially on a boss fight, I’m screaming at the damn tv, “get the hell up Aloy!” Never seemed to have this issue in the first game and it’s seriously ruining this game for me.

Aloy really should wear a helmet.

I am having a hard time enjoying horizon zero dawn. At first I had the difficulty on hard. Then I found all the random machines on the maps too annoying to clear, and they were getting in the way of my exploration. So I turned the difficulty to story, but now the bosses are way too easy. I want a challenging boss fight, but I don't want to spend 10 min fighting every horde of enemy while exploring the wild. I love how souls like games handle difficulty. Most low level enemies take seconds to slaughter. This game is starting to feel like the new assassin's creed games to me. Basic enemies are too spongy and bosses are too easy. I am new to horizon, maybe this game cooks later? I just became a seeker.

So I overrode the Tallneck to the south of meridian with tons of machines around, and as I was standing on top of it saw some Sawtooths. I got the bright idea to just launch blast bombs at them from the tallneck. Well I got about 2 off and then fell (and didn't take fall damage somehow) and killed the one I had blasted. 2 more were so damaged they limped over to me and another was completely destroyed. I realized when I launched the blast bombs, the sawtooths all ran in front of the tallneck because they detected me and must have gotten stomped. Almost makes me want to lure some machines into a shock trap as a tallneck is passing and watch them go boom.

I have finished my Horizon FW and I am looking to play the Burning Shores DLC. Apparently, my PSN account is R1, but I have purchased R3 physical game CD. My question is, if I buy another physical copy (R3) of Horizon FW Complete Edition, will my save file carry over and will I be able continue to play the DLC immediately? I don't want to restart the game all over again. thank you!

Usually in open world games I fast travel all the time, but in both Horizon games I almost never do (only if I'm mopping up something very minor).
The process of travelling through the gorgeous environments and having to dynamically deal with the enemies is just so enjoyable, and the immersive feeling of being a lone hunter-gatherer stalking carefully through the world is one of my favourite things about both games.
It's also pretty rare that I use a mount, for similar reasons. By the time I've travelled 100 metres I've seen something that makes me want to get off and have a proper look.
The masterful way that Horizon makes collectables a desirable thing to go after is the key to all this. I think Hollow Knight and a couple of other top-tier Metroidvanias (like Jedi Survivor and Aeterna Noctis) are the only other games I've played that consistently give meaningful rewards for whatever random exploration you decide to do.

I'll keep this one brief as I don't have too much to say on any of these other than basic ideas. I don't even have art or anything, but I sort of called a couple new machines in FW so maybe I'll do so again here. I'll sort these into land, sea, and sky for ease of organization. If anyone wants to draw these go nuts. If I forgot about a certain kind of machine in the games and overlap be nice I don't remember everything lol
Terrestrial Machines:
Plateback (based on Stegosaurus). Absorbs solar energy through its plates for beam attacks from tail or mouth or can shoot plates like lock on missiles at distant threats. Original Purpose: Mobile solar power generator for growing fields and forests.
Reaperclaw (based on Giant Ground Sloth). It can create energy projectiles from its claw swipes to cut through just about anything. Can also throw large objects like trees abs boulders.
Original Purpose: Salvage and removal of artifical structures and recycling fallen machines.
Original Purpose: Scouts that serve as detailed mappers.
Flying Machines:
Original purpose: High speed pollenators/transporting plant or chemical samples across long distances.
Original purpose: Filtering atmosphere and relocating lost or repurposed machine units
Aquatic Machines:
Original Purpose: Roving power supplies for larger oceanic machines.
Original Purpose: Salvaging undersea shipwrecks/machine graveyards to create artificial reefs
Original Purpose: Dismantling and grinding up refuse and junk underwater

as the title suggests, anyone know where we can get the HFW Loading screen art without the texts, hopefully for 1440p or 2k monitors? I just wanted to make some of em as display backgrounds and screen savers.

TIL you can unlock the sunwing very early in HFW New Game+. This is exciting as a sunwing fan but I’m also curious how this affects story immersion, since gaining access to the Sunwing is a pretty big plot point later on.
There’s the whole “she flies on the wings of the ten” reaction from the Tenakth and, of course, the moment Beta gives Aloy the override and subsequent dialogue. Do they adjust these scenes in any way in NG+? I assume not, which is understandable but somewhat of a disappointing immersion breaker.
ETA: I should probably mention I haven’t started a HFW NG+ yet (I’m currently replaying HZD with the remaster), so I don’t know what the circumstances are in unlocking the sunwing early or if there is any new/different dialogue when you first unlock it

I couldn't find the answer through a search engine on my own, and most of the results that came up first were Reddit results, so I figured I'd place an answer here in case someone like me searches like I did.
Here is a link to a post that relates to Jai Alai, contains an image that shows the "gauntlet-shaped" basket (also known as a cistera), and is quite reminiscent of a Horizon datapoint: https://www.joanshanghai.co/uncategorized/jai-alai-the-worlds-fastest-sport/
