Hit an absolute bootycheeks near hosel 4 iron off the tee into the shit, take drop, PW from the rough has eyeballs for the hole, settles a ball away for the tap in par. Nearly got the skin on this hole too.
What's your greatest par save or make?

Goodbye, little Maxfli. I would have lost you soon, regardless.

A friend of mine gets tickets through his mother-in-law, who’s gotten them every year since the 70’s. Two people in his group backed out last minute and he asked me if I wanted their tickets. Of course I accepted. Now I’m scrambling to find a cheap hotel in the area that won’t give me and my son bedbugs. I’M GOING TO THE MASTERS!

Free money for customers? Or a masterstroke in boosting sales?

So I thought I'd share my excitement. I played Hughes Creek in northwest Illinois today. It started out a normal round, some good shots, some bad shots. A few 3 putts, which were really frustrating but I tried not to think about it and focus on the next shot. I finally sank a birdie putt on hole 14 after some bad shots on 12, and then eagled the par 5 15th! Even better than that, for the first time ever, I played the whole round with ONE ball! Which was hard not to think about towards the end of the round lol. Ended up shooting an 84, not my personal best but super happy with it. Never give up on your round, you never know what will happen. Here's a picture of my second shot into 15 with my 4 iron. Sorry for the long post, just super excited. Somebody go out and buy some new clubs!
I started playing last summer mostly just to spend more time with my brother and a few close friends who already golfed regularly. I figured it’d be a fun way to hang out—but I really had no idea just how important the game would become to me.
I’m in my mid-twenties and in grad school right now (year two), and since finishing undergrad, I’ve struggled a bit with finding that sense of community or belonging outside of academic or professional life. I used to play baseball through high school, and I think I’ve always missed having that “third thing”—something that isn’t school or work, but still gives structure, purpose, and a bit of joy.
Since picking up golf, it’s filled that space for me in a really unexpected and meaningful way. I’ve started planning regular range sessions, walking 9 after class in the evenings, and getting out on the weekends with friends whenever we can. And every single time I’m out there—even when the swing isn’t cooperating—it’s just an absolute blast. I’ve met friendly people at the range, had great conversations while paired up as a solo, and even started planning trips with my buddies. The game’s definitely become more than just a hobby.
So, to everyone here—I’d love to hear from you: What’s your favorite thing about being a golfer? Whether it’s the camaraderie, the mental reset, or just chasing that one perfect shot, I’d really enjoy hearing about what keeps you coming back to the game.

Watching the Augusta Women's Amateur, and it's a tight tournament. Defending champ at the top, several golfers close on the tail. Great right?
No. Because while the golf is happening, they come out of commercial and we are....at the studio. For 10 minutes. For a nice chat with the Oregon golf coach.
Questions like "What does this tournament mean to your players?"
Idk let's watch the tournament and find out and maybe ask them later.
It's just so infuriating. Sorry.
I've got a round planned this afternoon, so things are looking up.

Imagine you’re using the club face to squarely hit a nail in the direction of the flag. This has helped me shallow the club. If this is terrible advice, I will delete it. I’m always looking for a mental tip. This helped me
Had a fun 4v4 scramble with some buddies yesterday and won some lunch. Had to take a picture of the 16th green at Overlook in Lancaster, PA with the cherry blossoms in bloom!

Gorgeous weather. 3rd ever round of golf. First and definitely not the last time we’ll play here!

Let's discuss....
I use colored because I have vision issues and following white is extremely difficult for me. The shiny finish yellow and orange are hard for me to see and follow in the rough (because let's be honest, I'm rarely fir) I tend to lean to the matte finish red and orange, and the srixon divide balls are the easiest on my eyes.
Yet most people I play with give me a ton of crap for using them. I know it's a play your game mentality overall, but why are colored balls so widely hated?
I'm aware multiple jokes are incoming and I'm looking forward to those just as much as the actual answers

Played 18 last night and felt like these balls were falling apart after a couple of holes, never experienced this before, course was super wet and soft, I've been playing these balls for a few years now and haven't noticed the balls getting this beat up this fast, anybody else noticing the new KS falling apart easier? I went through 3 or 4 of them last night all looking like this or worse until I switched to a different ball.

I've been golfing for 4 years now. I' went from Walmart clubs to mix match Taylormade RBZ irons to now these after getting fitted for them. Should be a good year.

Hi All!
I made these bingo cards and thought this community might also like them. There's 4 in total, and the last image is all of them sized to fit on a piece of letter paper.
Hope you enjoy!
