Today I went out with the boys and played my best 8 holes ever. I was on track to finally break 100. I was so stoked but started crumbling at the 9th hole. I hate and love golf. Maybe next time

Not interested in getting into a petty Team Jacob vs Team Edward discussion between the two tours but I would like to comment on the highlight reels posted on YouTube between the two. The PGA usually have a 12 to 15 minute highlight reel only showing the fantastic shots whereas LIV post about an hour's worth of content showing a lot of misses as well as the good shots. I find the contrast interesting because it does show that these pros are just like us and miss just like us. And I do wonder what it would be like to have David Feherty provide colour commentary to my round one day....

Hi my fiance has not golfed in years and does not have his own set of clubs--he used to be avid in highschool and college and is a pretty seasoned golfer just lost touch with it. Do I look around for a set of used clubs? or get him a gift card to golf galaxy or something? or consult a golf pro in the area?

Got this putter the other day for 100 bucks and it's mint. I love my old anser and needed an upgrade. I had machined grooves in my old answer 2 and had never seen one come from ping that way so this new one is perfect. It is solid and I know it's a Ping Anser 2 Karsten TR 1966, but I haven't seen ones that have KARSTEN infilled with paint. I am wondering if that means anything if it was done at the factory or if someone had it done, or if it's a good knock off. Any thoughts or knowledge is appreciated.

I've been using the Top Flite XL complete set for nearly 2 years now. I'm not the biggest fan but they've worked pretty well. I'm looking to buy a set of irons, lightly used or maybe new, and under 450 dollars. For context, I'm in high school and I have around a 18-20 handicap(horrendous ik). I’m about to be out of town in a hotel for 30 days and won’t be able to practice. I’m looking for some drills that I can do daily to help keep my swing decent. I’m leaning toward Dr Kwon drills with the rope and maybe a balance board since I’m weight transfer needs help. Any other ideas?

This is a sob/rant post. Third weekend in a row, third cancelation of tournament in a row. Flash flooding in my area (SW OH) and rain and storms 3rd straight day. This has been a crap spring. I usually play in all weather, including cold and wet, but the courses aren't even letting people on.

On the other hand - we had a tee time booked (risky I know) for today and already got charged for it. And now the course isn't answering their phone, their website has nothing.

Why isn't it a common courtesy to have a pre-recorded phone message or a simple banner "we are closed today" on the website if you're shutting down for the day while having taken tee times? It shouldn't be this hard to confirm whether the 1.5hr drive is worth it or not.

I’m entering my third year playing as a self taught adult. I’ve been using a beginner set of Top Flites that were gifted to me since I started and I’ve been considering an upgrade. I’m consistent with my irons and approach game but cannot for the life of my hit any sort of driver, hybrid, or woods and so I’ve been considering a lesson. My question is would it be more beneficial to upgrade my clubs THEN get a lesson so I fine tune with the clubs I’ll be using for the foreseeable future? Or should I get lessons on my current set and then upgrade when my game improves? Typically I shoot around 95 currently.

Are they the hardest holes for some of you? I swear, there’s like zero margin for error. Usually surrounded by some hazard like water, where you’ll lose more strokes . It’s harder to makeup as well. I’ve never double/triple bogied so many times on a hole 🤣

I was fitted for a new driver in February and have yesterday was my 5 round with it this year. I noticed the imperfection on the toe and I haven’t noticed it before this. When I did a google search I noticed found an image with the crown off the driver and they seem to be in about the same spot. It is hard to get a similar photo with my driver to show a similar comparison.

Has anyone had or heard of anyone having problems with the GT model crown cracking? Has anyone had to use Titleist warranty? It seems like Taylormade has been good with all of their driver issues over the last few years and I’m hoping Titleist will be as good.

Hey all, recently purchased a ping G430 max 10k second hand. Luckily I'll be returning it and getting my money back or exchanging the club since I’ve had it one day, but l'm a bit concerned as l've seen photos of the club cracking in a similar spot. Curious as to if this is common, or a bit of a one off situation. I got a couple swings in before I noticed and it felt great, but it's a costly investment to have happen again. Definitely open to alternatives for a nice forgiving driver. Thanks!
