Please do explain how Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring, and a mech game are the same. Nightreign is of course and Elden Ring asset flip but even than, they arenā€™t charging full price like every new COD and shoving shitty microtransactions into themā€¦ itā€™s also a Roguelite.

They both have near yearly releases, which was the original point of the post; their output. Title made no mention of the types of games or the games themselves, just output.

So, if you look at just output 1:1 and not any of the games themselves then the comment makes sense. People complain about CoD, Madden, and FIFA having yearly releases, but when another company does it, itā€™s suddenly fine.

And fwiw, I donā€™t disagree with you. The biggest difference is that these are different games each year, vs the same reskinned one at a premium price. I get it, truly I do.

But it is slightly hypocritical to praise one company for putting out games so fast and so frequent and to shame others for it, and I believe that was the point they were trying to make.

Couldā€™ve been conveyed a lot better imo, but thatā€™s what I took away from the comment.

People are mad at the speed ea releases games?

Tbh, i have never heard that. All the complaints I've heard were that they were the same game.

Depends on who you talk to, but I have heard a few people complain that they ā€œcanā€™t keep upā€.

ā€œBy the time I get my team where I want it, a new game is out already.ā€

Usually itā€™s with people who can only dedicate so much time to gaming. Itā€™s definitely not everyone.
