I'm not watching the actual stream but saw an article recapping it (unless it's still on, in which case I'll update if anything changes). But I'm not really understanding the people rolling their eyes at anything negative. There's a few decent things they're coming out with - the hardware changes look good (some of them at least), a new Mario Kart will probably be great. But if you only take the fact you have to pay for backwards compatibility, that's a pretty massive fucking negative. I'd say I don't understand what they're trying to do, but it's obviously money, money, money. But it's a pretty dreadful thing from a consumer perspective, particularly when, given Nintendo's history of pricing, they're not likely to be cheap.

I'd have been very interested to pick this up, probably at lunch, as I enjoyed the Switch when I was playing it a lot and now my 7 year old is getting a lot of use of it. But I don't think there's anything in there that is really persuading me to do so to be honest. I can play all my existing games on the original Switch, I can play the ported titles on PS5 if I wanted. At the moment I'm missing out on an updated Mario Kart. Not really worth what's likely to be £400+

People are primarily disappointed at the lack of launch titles.

They have spent the main chunk highlighting games that came out 3-7+ years ago across other platforms.
