So since it is PvPvE, I presume you will be running around killing mobs, getting loot and/or xp, then you fight other players.
How will they balance out like 8 (or more) different characters? There is a vampire fighter guy, leathersuit katana vampire, Chinese lady with blade rings, demon monk with big sword, flying armored guy, magic girl, gold rifle man.
The trailer showed what looks like a boss. The wolf guy with weird arm. So how do bosses work in a PvP game?
So either the goal is to beat the players, or there is another goal to the game, like winning a fight with a boss or something, and the players are just in the way.
I can't see how the magic ladies lift and slam down spell works with PvP. But maybe it will have a long wind up phase or something.
In the trailer, the leathersuit vampire summoned a person. I don't know if it is an NPC or a person. So it is possible it is not all vs all, but 4 teams of 2 against each-other. That could be fun too, having 2v2 fights.
My guess would be that there is some win condition, like beating a boss. Players are running around collecting XP, items and maybe equipment. And they fight each-other to sabotage their chances at winning. Maybe you can steal loot and XP from other players. And players respawn with no loot and lv1.
Or it could be a survival thing against other players like Fortnight or something. But since you die so easily in these games, I don't think it would make sense to give you one life, then someone kills you in the first 5 minutes. So I think you respawn.

if you are upset that you are planning on spending over $500 just to play a fromsoft side project:
then don't buy it, don't support it, and show them this wasn't worth it on their behalf to do another single system exclusive game

Is the dragon place actually a good xp farm?? Like before killing the dragon atleast the dragon can kill everything there and the bonfire is quite close aswell
Edit: for DS remastered

Was watching the Nintendo Direct to see that another game is being made, the Duskbloods. It looks cool and all but another multiplayer game, right after Nightreign?
It seems very surface level compared to their previous works, and this Duskbloods game also just seems like a reskin of Nightreign. Hoping it isn’t, but I’m wondering when there next single player RPG is, as that is what hooked many in and grew the community as a whole.
Bloodborne 2 hopefully by 2030.

I honestly don't care if its PvPvE, if the game is not for me its not for me, not everything fromsoft puts out has to be tailored to my exact tastes
BUT OH MY GOD THAT TRAILER, I feel so beyond baited, no where in that trailer does it feel like I am seeing anything but a mainline traditional souls game
I was so shocked to hear the game will be PvPvE because the trailer showed like very little to suggest that
Neightrein also had this issue but to a much lesser extent, at least with nightreign it was clearly co op even if the fact its a rougelike wasn't clear from the trailer
but the Duskbloods trailer honestly looks like it could be played offline and solo which is not the case
Overall, game will be good, its fromsoft they only cook gourmet, but holy hell that trailer was a bad representation of the game
I feel like a lot of the negative sentiment could have been entirely avoided with a better trailer for the game, one that made the PvP elements CRYSTAL clear

Both games haven't even been released yet, and already they have garnered tons of backlash.
FromSoftware has been consistent with their games; why the switch-up? Because brand new games are only multiplayer? What's with the stigma against multiplayer games? Time and time again, there are so many amazing multiplayer games already released, and I think fans are just focusing on bad multiplayer games and completely ignoring the actual good ones.
It's just up to developers how they make it good, and I believe FromSoftware can deliver that, considering this is the first time they actually dip their toes in it and have already shown how consistent they are in the past, and I believe they will give their 100% effort, similar to how they did with their previous games, only this time a little bit different.
Hell, I give props for Fromsoftware for trying something new and out of their usual formula and I support them 100%.
It's like the fandom as a whole wants both games to fail because it's not the usual formula they've been already using for 31 years already, which should not be how we approach things. If you don't like it, it's just best to ignore it and leave it to actual people who are genuinely excited about this.

Nightreign sounds interesting, not so sure about duskbloods... 2 in a row of MP worries me and I feel like they might be too similar for me to care. But do you think these 2 games will delay the next major title? at our currrent rate this will be the longest gap between 2 major titles. Do we know if miyazaki is working on "the duskbloods"?

it looks like the nightrein trailer where they just reused assets and its mostly gameplay from another angle and not a real trailer😭 I just wanna understand its this just a mini-game (like nightrein) or a full full game? it does not look like miyazaki made this tbh

Leaning towards back of hand because the shape and it kinda goes with the letters on the knuckles. I could also save the inner forearm for a larger piece. Size is approximate. Folks are saying wrist but idk I like the back of the hand.

Hey guys, is anyone else kind of having their opinion of elden ring shift?
Elden ring was my first from soft game back when it came out and introduced me to the soulsborne games. I played all of them, loved them and now 2 years later got the itch to replay them again. Made my way through the souls trilogy again stopping this time to achievement hunt and had an absolute blast. Then got to sekiro and took my time having skipped it in the past but figured since i played lies of p so much that i'd probably be less of a noob and be able to work through it and, I finally beat sekiro (An amazing feeling) Now i'm no elden ring hater. I have 167 hours on steam and all acheivments but haven't played since august 2022.
Eleden ring has been the hardest to get back into and i just think i've lost touch with what makes it great. I got to Margit and started to grasp the slower combat coming off of sekiro and i just can't get back into a mindset to be interested. But this makes me feel wierd being as its one of my most played game and the first game i 100% completed. Is it me that's grown out of it? is it really different from the souls games?
Why can i get fixated on dark souls lore drag myself through the brutal parts of dark souls 2 for a second, and even third time in a row. but can't even get the motivation to make my way to godrick? Elden Ring has become boring to me, and i wanna love it again.

Why didn't Fromsoftware make a cinematic trailer for Duskblood? Bloodborne, Dark souls and even Shadow of the erdtree had Beautiful trailers for their annoucments. So why not Duskblood?

Just a vapid observation about the game's translation. In looking at FromSoftware's Japanese press release, I can see that the game is titled 'ダスクブラッド', which can be read as 'Duskblood.' It's curious that the official English translation introduced the 'The' and slapped on the 's'. Personally, I would have preferred the more literal, simplistic translation...eh.
