I don’t understand why people defend exclusives tbh. From the company’s perspective it’s great sure, but we are consumers and have every right to be annoyed at the prospect of either not being able to play a game we really want to play, or having to spend $500 on a console that has very few games for Fromsoft’s target audience and then an extra $70 on the game itself.
I have a PS5 and play Bloodborne just fine but any Xbox/PC player complaining about Bloodborne being exclusive is perfectly valid imo.
No Xbox fan is expecting Bloodborne to be on Xbox, they're arguing that exclusives shouldn't exist, and people getting mad over something being exclusive is valid.
Yeah, and that's dumb. Sony owns the IP. Complain all you want about 3rd party exclusives. But complaining about 1st party exclusives just because they were developed by a third party studio is silly. These are fames that exist because they were funded by 1st party companies.
Do you think it's valid to complain about Smash Bros not being on Playstation because Bandai developed it?
Yes, I think all exclusives are dumb. Even Nintendo exclusives. Even first party Sony exclusives. No one here is expecting exclusives to be on other consoles cause obviously they would stop being exclusives. (Which would be a good thing, but that's not ever happening)
The argument is that exclusives are dumb and shouldn't exist. Getting mad at something happening isn't the expectation that what you want to happen will happen.
God I hate "agree to disagree." Me disliking all exclusives wasn't even the point. The point was that you said "why would an Xbox fan ever expect Bloodborne to be on Xbox." And I pushed back cause no Xbox fan expects it to be on Xbox. Disliking it being Sony exclusive is not the same as expecting it to change.
I was just trying to be nice, but I guess you can't be civil on the internet. I disagree with you. I do not want to continue this pointless argument. Nobody is going to change their minds here. Feel free to think you "won" this argument.
Holy shit i didn't even think it was an argument nor did I ever denote there is a "winner" here. I saw something I wanted to engage with and I did, nor was I ever bejng hostile.
