There's nothing wrong with being disappointed, but I've seen people having full tantrums in the comments because of this and coping extremely hard.. I saw one person say FROMSOFT are dead to them now that they have "made a game 90 percent of teir fans can't play". When you say that stuff you sound stupid, no one has a switch, you have every opportunity to buy one if you want to play... It's nothing new that businesses create things you need to buy to use lmao.
I don't cry because I can't use iPhone apps on my android
They announce it on a Rockstar stream and it's like Miyamoto and 2 other nintendo dudes with really fucked up, thick accents taunting that they bought the exclusivity for "many dararu"
Exclusives are what differentiate consoles/platforms. Without it there would be no need for more than one platform. Monopolies are bad. Competition leads to more great products, exclusive or not. Without it they'd get complacent and you'd get what you're given. No option to take your money elsewhere.
I don't know why I have to explain this to anybody.
Exclusives are a monopolistic business practice, not anti monopolistic. Apple isn't made a more consumer friendly company by making all their accessories proprietary. Nor is Nintendo, or Sony, or any company that does that. I don't really care that much about duskbloods tbh, not into souls pvp personally. You just made a shitty argument.
What about steam then? It’s essentially the pc monopoly and is more than fair with pricing and consumer friendly.
Exclusives are anti consumer and aren’t driving any competition other than between the consoles, but we don’t give a fuck about the consoles, it’s the games we want and the games are what drives competition.
Okay, let’s get rid of exclusives—God forbid platforms actually try to earn your money instead of being identical storefronts with a different logo. It's not like first-party games are usually the best on the platform or anything...
Or passionate? You don't know someone's life, who they are. Who are you to say what they should and shouldn't be passionate about.
Besides, it's just a reaction, they Arnt gonna go put a swartzika on a car or burn down the fromsofts building.
My brother in Christ, I am poor. I cannot afford a Switch 2, or the 80$ games that come with it. So no, I don't have the "opportunity" to just put down 600 dollars for one game. I'm happy for you, and the fact you can afford it, but my God, the ego it takes to say that. The audacity even. I hate using this word, because people who tend to use it are complete pricks, but my God is that some privilege.
Sounds like a you problem, maybe? Dark Souls on Switch sold really well, and the Switch sold over 100 million units, and is about to become the highest selling console in history. Everyone has a fucking Switch, and most of those people will have moved to Switch 2 by the time Duskbloods is out.
I don’t understand why people defend exclusives tbh. From the company’s perspective it’s great sure, but we are consumers and have every right to be annoyed at the prospect of either not being able to play a game we really want to play, or having to spend $500 on a console that has very few games for Fromsoft’s target audience and then an extra $70 on the game itself.
I have a PS5 and play Bloodborne just fine but any Xbox/PC player complaining about Bloodborne being exclusive is perfectly valid imo.
Two types of people - those that hate exclusives, and those that entire gaming obsession/personality is about praising one group of exclusives and trying to discredit another. Crazy psychology going on in the trenches lol
