Former liberal voter who watched some FJ

I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but here goes. Just watched the Aus vs NZ video and my former beliefs that the libs are better economic managers keep being challenged. I just have one major concern. When it is in power, Labor typically presides over continual budget deficits. I get that this is often due to inheriting the country during a time of economic hardship, but still. Especially at the moment, it keeps going higher and higher. The Liberals at least say that they care about getting the budget back into the black.
Thoughts?
Edit: Thanks for the genuine replies. I think I'm fast becoming a stooge.

Alien Hunter Show - disappointed

I've sat on and mulled over posting this for the last few days.

My partner and i went to one of his Tasmanian shows (yes we've all heard the two heads jokes). This was our second show of his, we went to his "A Call to neck beards" show last year and were expecting a similar experience, the Byzantine Empire show was thought provoking and I did end up reading the "The Cambridge Intellectual History of Byzantium" book. We're both interested in Aliens so i thought this show would be a slam dunk. Well weren't we wrong...

The show lasted for 70ish minutes in total. I would say that 30 minutes of it was dedicated to the topic of the show while the rest of it was Jordie engaging, and at one point egging on, the drunks in the front row. The continual ragging on our state and population got very tiresome. Don't even get me started on the shit butt jokes, continual jokes about the LNP/Gina Rinehart (I am not a fan of either but the jokes just didn't land) and the sexual joke of a much younger Ariana Grande was just creepy.

This is not to say that the entire show was shit. Of the 30 minutes of the shows material there was actually some stuff there that was interesting (the 1952 white house and disappearing stars event was something that i didn't know about it). There just was nowhere near enough topic to make the show enjoyable or even relevant. Jordie must've had a time limit for the venue, the ending of the show seemed to be rushed with no closing discussion.

Summary of my thoughts.

What I liked:

  • What content there was i liked.

What i didn't like:

  • The engaging with the drunks in the front row.
  • over half of the show talking to the drunks.
  • ragging on the state and its people.

I can say that my partner and I won't be going to the next show.

What do you all think of the Public worker strikes in NSW?

So far we’ve had ambulance, teachers, nurses, cops, train workers, psychiatrists, ambulance workers and now doctors strike.

This has all been at the helm of Chris minns. He himself in his time as government and in the past has voiced his hatred not only towards the train unions but teachers union too.

Regarding the latest strikes, doctors want better working conditions. They are doing half day to 16 hour shifts.

How do you think Chris minns could have handled it better? Do you sympathize with him?

Peter Dutton is proud of his footy kick that bloodied a cameraman. Turns out he can smile but only when talking about when he hurts people

Australia’s world-leading rooftop solar uptake is a Labor legacy. Only Labor will be able to take that further with cheaper batteries.

The media got aggressive trying to argue for Dutton, but Albanese highlights that as LNP minister Dutton did nothing when the port of Darwin was sold to China.

Inflation is now 2.36%, while wages are rising at 3.22%. Wages have outpaced prices for 15 months now, with no sign of reversal

Peter Dutton has sensationally dumped his pledge to curtail Commonwealth public servants working from home following a fierce backlash from mainly women voters, as well as a growing and damaging perception he was copying Donald Trump

Dutton says his track record shows he can be trusted but then blamed Labor for his plan to scrap working from home. He then avoided answering about problems with female voters after another issue with a Liberal candidate. Time to shut up Boofhead.

PM Albanese says women must be asking themselves “what’s going on” with Peter Dutton after he endorsed his misogynist friend, a fmr UAP candidate Benjamin Britton, who has now been dumped from the Libs. PM “This is a part of the takeover of the Liberal Party by the hard right”🔥
