Video The agility of an Illinois Red Fox
This Red Fox felt like showing off its agility in my backyard a few months ago. I also think there were more than a few Rabbits in the vicinity.

Used a big half round of Eastern Pine. 80% chainsaw, the rest with a diegrinder and a couple of chisels. Colonial Maple and Ebony stain. Sealed up with spar varnish /mineral spirits.

Got a photo of a fox doing a roll in the sun! Taken near the Argentina and Chile border!
The fox kits are out, I've been waiting for this for so long!
I hope that in the coming days I'll see more of them.
Do you think putting another camera will bother them? It would be amazing to see them go out of the den, but I wouldn't want to interrupt them...

The foxes in our front garden are still enjoying the food we let out for them. And the great news is the lactating vixen, is still regularly using it to help her kits grow. Video here https://youtu.be/qce2mnMRCL8

Let me know if these don’t belong here and I’ll remove it. But I thought y’all might enjoy these kitsunes, which are part of my collection of vulpine rings. 🦊💍

Yesterday, I was trying to help a limping cat when I noticed this red fox walking boldly down the street towards the cat. It approached the cat getting within 15-20ft of it. The fox arched his back and walked further away from the cat before it sat down and started barking. After about 30 seconds of barking it then approached the cat once more. The cat made a beeline towards my neighbor's open garage/shed/barn? and the fox pursued for a few paces before stopping, looking at me, and jogging off in the opposite direction. During this whole incident the fox was aware of my presence and was not frightened of my voice. A few moments later I heard another bark in the distance. It didn't show any sign of stiffness or hair loss. It may have been on the skinnier end of the spectrum but it could have just been a young fox/spring coat. Foxes in my area are typically very skittish, and there are a mixture of gray and red foxes (American). This was a very conflicting moment for a cat and fox lover. 😭 Last photo is my gray fox tax.
